Welcome to the juiciest conversations in wellness with Olivia Amitrano, founder of Organic Olivia. "What's The Juice" is a podcast as multifaceted as its listeners — a fierce community on a courageous path of self improvement, learning, and healing. Here we share conversations that bridge traditional wisdom and modern science, offering a balance of tangible advice and perspective-shifting philosophies that will optimize your health and change the way you see the world. One week we'll spill the (herbal) tea on functional medicine for hormone imbalance, while the next we'll dive deep into psychedelic assisted therapy, codependency and learning how to say no. Olivia is a clinical herbalist, formulator, entrepreneur, and, most notably, an educator. Each episode is an opportunity to synthesize her education in herbalism, psychology, and a lifetime of health issues into actionable tips on how to not only heal but thrive. Interviews with doctors, therapists, holistic practitioners, astrologers, artists, and storytellers are brimming with raw, human moments and empowering information. Candid and ever curious, Olivia is on a mission to understand the human condition and share what she learns along the way. Above all, her goal is to connect you with the paradigms, practitioners and teachers you can rely on to help get you to the next level. Peeling back the layers isn't always pretty, but the juice is worth the squeeze.

How to Develop Your Specific Spiritual Gifts + The Role Your Life's Pain Plays in Your Purpose with Manuela Welton

Season 6 · Episode 18

lundi 24 novembre 2025Duration 01:25:37

Ep 147. Have you ever wondered if pain, shame, or anger is showing up in your life because it's the key to something deeper? What does it actually mean to be an intuitive healer? And how do we learn to hear what our own pain has been trying to tell us our entire lives? This week, Manuela Welton, an energy healer who has spent nearly two decades helping individuals, companies, and even governments understand themselves on a deeper energetic level, is breaking down loss, fear, and judgment from an energy perspective. From her gifts being discovered as a four-year-old child to experiencing devastating loss that shaped her childhood, she shares how the death of her parents became one of her greatest initiations into her path. If you've ever felt like you just need an energetic clean slate and to validate or move stuck energy that has stayed with you WAY too long, this episode will feel like the hand you have needed to hold. I'm so honored to share such a sacred relationship that I have worked so closely with over the last couple years. Manuela truly has a one-of-kind gift. Thank you all so much for listening.

HERE'S THE JUICE:

  • Breaking down what an intuitive energy healer REALLY does, and accessible tools to tap into

  • Manuela shares the first signs she had spiritual gifts and how loss became her doorway into her gift

  • Why Western culture is afraid to feel, and the subtle ways we are actually disconnecting ourselves from what is energetically meant for us

  • Understanding the fear of death, and why grief requires us to feel all the way through, not avoid. The most important piece of this is not to be equally afraid of life.

  • Is fear of letting go just fear of our own capacity for freedom?

  • How to ask the people closest to you: "What do you see in me that others can't?" Understanding that the people we love can often help us find our gifts.

  • Practices to clear your energy and tune into what is truly yours vs. what is noise

How Childhood Trauma Can Shape Intuition – The Science of Spiritual Gifts | Laura Day

Season 6 · Episode 17

lundi 20 octobre 2025Duration 01:13:03

Ep. 146 Is heightened intuition a gift or a trauma response? Why is it stronger for some than others, and what is the science behind why some people have 'psychic' abilities? Laura Day, world-renowned intuitive and bestselling author of Practical Intuition and her new book The Prism, is diving into why our unique childhood experiences & 'wounds' can determine the ways in which our intuition may express as an adult. Laura grew up in a chaotic home affected by suicide, manic depression, and narcissism, effectively raising her siblings alone, and is sharing how her beginning actually became the portal to discovering her intuitive gifts. She breaks down the important difference between intuition and wisdom, and why intuition can be both a superpower and a stumbling block depending on how we develop it.

HERE'S THE JUICE
- Breaking down how she developed her gift for intuition through trauma, highlighting  how many of our childhoods are prone to trauma due to lack of power
- Laura shares her early life experiences – coming from three generations of physicians, and how that gave her a data-driven approach to intuition
- Why the very things that challenged us most often become our points of greatest strength and tangible steps to identify our challenges and take small steps to create the life we want
- The importance of avoiding the trap of constantly trying to "change yourself" and instead approaching the mind as a mechanical system that may only need a small change
- The crucial difference between intuition and wisdom
- Why intuition is a double-edged sword and when we should and shouldn't listen to it

How to Turn Your Daily "Routines" into Intentional Rituals That Can Change Your Life

Season 6 · Episode 8

lundi 3 mars 2025Duration 59:40

Ep 137 Have you ever wished you could curate more magic into your daily life? Building a routine is so important but how do we take our routines a step further to ritualize the mundane? We're all guilty of rushing through our days to maximize productivity, yet slowing wayyyy down allows us to find meaning in the in-between moments. In this episode, I'm taking you through some of the special daily & seasonal rituals that have helped me mark important moments in time, incorporate prayer and mindfulness to really understand what's happening in my life, and shifted my mindset to see the beauty of what is in front of me. We think that the impactful moments in life have to all be large but the real moments are as small as appreciating warm socks, climbing into a made bed, or gentle movement. Turning an everyday task into something sacred can be the first step to shifting our minds to a state of gratitude. Through developing a ritual around daily and seasonal practices we can nurture a deeper relationship with ourselves, and our ancestors to make our day-to-day life just a little bit sweeter.

HERE'S THE JUICE:

  • Why we need to understand the difference between routine and ritual & how to use presence to transform everyday tasks

  • Olivia's entire morning regimen and the science behind each element

  • How to create sacred space through simple practices like phone-free walks

  • The transformative power of the Jupiter Kazemi weekend and how it changed her approach to play

  • How to bring ritual into herbalism and plants and the importance of maintaining an altar space for ancestral connection

  • The real reason  slowing down will deeply change your relationship with daily tasks and the power of listening to signs and synchronicities in everyday life

  • The subtle art of noticing in order to receive guidance from the world around you

VISION IS MORE THAN 20/20 - a mind blowing convo on why your personality, worldview + more relates to your eyesight with behavioral optometrist Dr. Bessler

Season 2 · Episode 18

lundi 25 octobre 2021Duration 58:57

Ep 46. Vision is so much more than just seeing what's in front of you. It's about your eyes (which are part of your brain outside of your head) seeing the world, your goals, and processing the way you relate to others. Beyond that, vision "issues" are more than blurry letters, 20/20, or astigmatism, and can actually involve the way that your eyes either work together or fight each other, creating extra stress in your brain! I am so excited for you all to listen to this mind blowing conversation, because this guest is my very own eye doctor who has changed my life and the way I see things... LITERALLY. Meet Behavioral Optometrist Dr. Marni Bessler and get the juice on why vision is connected to things like ADHD, posture and personality, plus what vision struggles can tell us about the way your brain solves problems. "Vision is not just something that happens to us—it's something we create once the info gets into our brain."
