mardi 10 décembre 2024Duration 09:54

Running a business doesn’t have to feel like a constant uphill battle. When I started aligning my business with my natural energy, strengths, and true self, I found it became so much easier to show up, stay consistent, and actually enjoy the process. When you design your business to fit who you are - not what others expect or what someone else is doing - it becomes easier to show up, stay consistent, and enjoy the process.

Here are some practical ways to create a business that feels like a lovely extension of you!

Simple Ways to Use Your Affiliate Links For Additional Income

Episode 183

mardi 3 décembre 2024Duration 05:18

Affiliate marketing is a fantastic way to add an extra income stream to your business without a tonne of effort after the initial set up.

Once your affiliate links are ready to go, they work quietly in the background, earning you extra money over time.

The beauty of affiliate marketing is its compounding potential - you can add links to your content now, and as your audience and following grows, so does your income.

Even better, you can go back and update older, high-performing content with affiliate links to give you an extra income boost there as well.

And I’m not just talking blog posts - there are plenty of clever places to incorporate your affiliate links in ways that benefit you and your audience too.

Here are my favourite ways to use affiliate links to maximise income and create more freedom in your business!

Content repurposing with Felly Day

Season 5 · Episode 46

mercredi 7 décembre 2022Duration 21:02

Consistent, helpful content is the key to growing your business online.

It’s how your ideal customer gets to know who you are and how you can help them, it’s a fantastic way to prove you know what you’re talking about in your industry, it shows people what it would be like to work with you, and it encourages them to take that next step - to book in for your service or buy your product.

So why do we procrastinate on content creation? Why do we post & ghost on socials? Why do we neglect our email lists?

Usually, it’s because we feel like we don’t have enough time to create new content, we don’t know what to say, or we don’t think we’re very good at it. Content creation feels like a big job - it’s time-consuming, there are so many places that we feel like we need to show up on these days, and it’s really hard to keep coming up with new content!

Here’s the good news - you don’t actually need to create new content every day. There’s a much easier way to show up consistently online, and my guest today is here to teach you how to do it!

Content Repurposing Agency Owner Felly Day helps ambitious service providers and coaches create a sustainable business, grow through digital marketing and build a life on their own terms in a way that feeds their spirit.

Felly specialises in helping her clients create a core content strategy that embodies their own energy, vision and dreams, and she believes that marketing success comes from creating messaging that is distinctly you.

If you’ve already got content you’ve created previously, you can use that in multiple ways to build brand awareness and sell out your offers.

Don’t burn yourself out constantly trying to create new content. Sales and success don’t come from sharing the newest and trendiest stuff! In fact, most of your audience needs to hear the same thing over and over again before they’re familiar with it, truly understand it, relate to it and decide to take action and buy!

Tune in as Felly and I talk about what content repurposing is and how it can benefit your business, the difference between content repurposing and content redistribution, and the easiest way to get started repurposing your content!

Season 5 · Episode 45

vendredi 2 décembre 2022Duration 32:33

I’m back after my 2 week cruise to New Zealand!

It was wonderful.

Creating a Luxury Brand with Elva Li

Season 5 · Episode 43

mardi 22 novembre 2022Duration 22:44

You may think that branding is only relevant for large corporations with a huge customer base, but that’s not necessarily true!

Branding for all businesses - big or small, product, coaching or service based - is important because it plays a huge role in helping your potential client or customer decide whether to buy from you.

Your brand is a reflection of the experience people will have with you. The look and feel of your online presence is seen as a preview to what it’s like to buy from you, be coached by you, partner with you or work with you. It provides the emotional connection between you and your potential client, and if you’re strategic with your branding, it has the power to draw your ideal client to you like a magnet and do most of your selling for you.

For example, if you’re looking to attract high ticket clients - those who are happy to invest because they value the premium experience and the accountability of a high ticket offer, your branding needs to align with that experience. So how do you create that? Today we have an expert of the show to share some tips to help!

Specialising in helping female coaches and founders, Elva Li is a Luxury Branding Coach, Creative Director, and Speaker who helps her clients create a luxury brand so they can attract high-end clients, increase their influence, impact, and income.

Elva has 10 years of experience in business advisory, coaching, and luxury brand styling. She combines her creative flair with her business savviness to help visionary female coaches and founders feel confident online, onboard high-end clients, and become the most iconic version of themselves.

Tune in as Marissa and Elva talk about what defines a luxury brand, how can luxury branding help your business grow, and how to create your luxury brand.

How to Make More and Work Less Without Relying on Social Media, a Fancy Opt-In, or Any Ad Spend with Abagail Pumphrey and Emylee Williams

Season 5 · Episode 42

mardi 15 novembre 2022Duration 40:21

You started your business so you could do what you LOVE and do it on your own terms.

How’s that working out for you so far? Because when Marissa first started her original business at Beautifully Organised, she spent some time doing what she enjoyed, but she also had to spend a lot of time trying to find her next client, and the one after that, and the one after that.

With a service based business, almost all of us start out undercharging because we’re worried about whether a potential client will say yes to working with us, and we’ve done so much work just finding this person and getting in front of them that the last thing we want to do is chase them away with a price they aren’t happy with! That leads to us working more hours than we expected just to make enough money to cover the bills. And there’s only so many clients we can serve in a week!

After a few months of this, it doesn’t feel like we LOVE what we do anymore, and we’re certainly not doing it on our own terms.

But without putting time, effort, or money into marketing, we can’t get clients, and without clients, we don’t have a business, right?

Not necessarily - in fact our guests today say you can make more and work less without relying on any of the typical things we do to market ourselves like relying on social media, a fancy opt-in, or any ad spend.

Abagail Pumphrey and Emylee Williams are the business fairy godmothers behind Boss Project and the hosts of the chart-topping podcast, The Strategy Hour. They’re internet-famous for their program, Trello for Business, which Marissa personally has and loves because it breaks down boring and complicated systems into easier, bite-sized chunks. They have helped more than 10 thousand creative small business owners create simplicity and ease in reaching their goals.

After getting their start in 2015 serving clients in the marketing and branding space, they now help other service based business owners reignite their offer, create systems for client experience, and get more of their time back inside their program, The Incubator.

Tune in as Marissa chats with Abagail and Emylee about building a life-first business, growing your biz without being on social media all the time, running ads or making multiple lead magnets and opt ins, and what service based business owners should focus on instead of marketing!

Foundations for a million dollar business with Mel Brandt

Season 5 · Episode 40

jeudi 3 novembre 2022Duration 36:03

What does it take to build a million-dollar business?

It’s a number that feels like a leap to many of us, but there are more and more entrepreneurs hitting and surpassing the million-dollar mark every year and that’s got me wondering: What do they have in common?

Does it come down to the industry? The type of product or service you offer? Is it your pricing, your ability to scale, or simply confidence and resilience that get you there?

Do you have to work harder to make more money?

In our experience, the answer is no. You can slog it out 10 hours a day in your business but if you’re not taking any revenue-generating action, you’re not bringing in an income. It’s more about being strategic with your business plan, your offers, your pricing, and your ability to scale.

For most entrepreneurs and business owners, the tricky part is knowing what to do to build a million-dollar business. What are the steps to get you there? What are the “must-do’s”, the non negotiable actions that make a real difference to your level of success?

The best way to find out those answers is to ask someone who has made it happen. learn from their experience, what worked for them, and what they’d do differently if they were starting from scratch. There’s so much we can learn from hearing other people’s stories and learning about their experiences.

In this episode, founder of Lifestyle Industries Melanie Brandt joins Marissa to talk about foundations for a million-dollar business.

Mel shows business owners how to automate their business so they can have more time freedom and is obsessed with marketing and eco system automation and helping other business owners build smart business systems.

Listen in as Mel shares her entrepreneurial story and talks with Marissa about what eco system automation is and how it can you set you up for a million-dollar business!
