Welcome to The Dreamer’s Lounge! I’m Ariel Schiffer, and I have made it my mission to take out the digital trash one bad course at a time. I am the creator of The Course Alchemist, Industrial Organizational Psychologist, and Curriculum and course design expert. This podcast is for entrepreneurs who are looking to elevate their digital product suite so their offers speak for themselves. Nothing is worse than being oversold into something that under delivers just like an overpriced bottle of wine. When it comes to crafting the ultimate offer for your clients, it’s really a simple recipe: Place one dreamer in a highball glass. Saturate with inspiration and a dash of never-been-done-before innovation. Muddle until transformative. Fill glass with 100 (fool) proof confidence. Garnish with a slice of authenticity & top with profitability. My mission is to help you perfect this recipe for yourself and your audience. They are waiting to receive your guidance and help, you just need the right drinks on your menu. It’s your time to create massive impact by doing business YOUR way and that’s where strategy will turn into profit. Inside the lounge I will share my expert knowledge, curated from years of experience and bring in transformational guests to share their unique methods of serving clients. Marriage & Entrepreneurship with Jason AKA Dreambro, My Husband

Season 1 · Episode 67

lundi 2 mai 2022Duration 41:28

Did you know I work with my husband? World, meet Jason, my former tree-trimmer/ optimization coach turned valuable member of the Dreampro team. Now some of you may be asking…how does that work exactly? Yes, I work and live with my husband…AND I still love him at the end of the day. We’re going to cover a lot of ground today and one of those topics is HOW the above is and stays true. We’ll cover:
  • Jason’s perspectives on our business
  • The importance of communication in business and relationships
  • Ways to maintain good boundaries

We’re both proud of the business we’ve built, and part of the reason we’ve been so successful is because we’re great partners to each other both at work and at home. It’s not always easy, but when your spouse also becomes part of your dream team, there really is nothing like it.

Good Courses Cite Sources, Because Stealing Intellectual Property is Gross

Season 1 · Episode 66

lundi 18 avril 2022Duration 23:10

For those of us who create, and especially for those of us who create through writing, there is probably no word more frightening than the P-word. Plagiarism.  No thank you.

As someone who helps curate courses for various small businesses, I have to be adaptable to all sorts of industries, some of which aren’t my area of expertise. While I’m never completing a course purely from scratch, I still have to build it with a working knowledge of the various topics. Enter, research, and the delicate dance of researching and citing and outright stealing. In this episode I talk more about:

  • How to uphold intellectual integrity
  • How to incorporate  research and others’ knowledge fairly

It’s important that you shine through in your course, and that your unique personality and experiences color the program. You’re less an author and more a guide and the journey you’re taking your clients on is the point more so than the destination. Don’t shy away from research but don’t overpower your own story either.

Remember Why You Started: To Give Them What They Need, Not What They Want

Season 1 · Episode 65

lundi 11 avril 2022Duration 17:45

If we’re not creating with our clients from a place of intentionality, then we need to reevaluate our strategy; content for content’s sake serves no one, and I’m not here to waste anyone’s time, especially my own. This means you can’t be afraid, to be honest with your clients, and you have to operate from a place of bravery and steadfast knowledge. In the latest episode of The Dreamer’s Lounge Podcast, I talk more about:
  • Delivering what clients need versus what they want
  • My own experiences with various courses
  • The importance of foundational work from you and your client

This all comes down to communication, and being able to sit in some potential temporary awkwardness with the ultimate goal of real, transformative change. Remember you’re not here to give them what they want; if they were able to sustain their business off of that they wouldn’t have sought you out at all. You’re here to evaluate everything, and give them what they NEED.

Things I Wish I Knew About Being an Entrepreneur

Season 1 · Episode 62

As a business owner, I’m constantly learning, growing, and evolving. I’ve been sitting on some feelings and thoughts for a while that I’ve been wanting to share about entrepreneurship. In this episode, I take some time to do just that.

There are so many things I’ve learned through the different seasons of business ownership that have taught me lessons that will stay with me forever. I shared those here, really diving into some important learnings that have acted as guiding lights for me as I continue to navigate the entrepreneurial journey.

Here’s are the topics and learnings I touch on in this episode:

  • The Drive to Start My Business
  • Listen to Your Gut, Not Other People
  • Make Sure to Enjoy the Ride
  • Learn from True Experts
  • What a Lack of Profit Taught Me
  • A Focus on My Mission & Values

The truth is that running a business is REALLY hard. But it’s also rewarding and exciting. Part of the process is trial and error and learning different ways to navigate the challenges that come your way. I hope this episode helps you do that even a little bit better as you continue down your unique path.
