Dr. Frank Sabatino is a Chiropractic physician with a Ph.D. in cell biology and neuroendocrinology from Emory University’s School of Medicine. Joining us today, Dr. Sabatino starts by discussing sugar (mainly glucose), Glucose’s importance to humans’ brains and red blood cells, and how humans were supposed to get carbohydrates in the original natural process.
Dr. Frank also highlights that although glucose is essential for energy, high blood sugar levels can be toxic, causing severe health issues like loss of vision, limbs, kidneys, and heart function, and where insulin comes into play. He also discusses insulin resistance and how excessive insulin in the blood can trigger tumor growth and heart disease.
Dr. Sabatino then shares the importance of diet and lifestyle in blood sugar regulation and why he thinks physical activity, stress management, and sufficient sleep are essential for maintaining proper insulin function.
