Building a Personalised Shopping Interface with Kendraio and My Green Pod
Episode 1
mercredi 16 avril 2025 • Duration 23:56
The collaboration between My Green Pod and Kendraio stems from a LinkedIn post from Jarvis Smith (Co-founder of @mygreenpod) in early 2023, which asked for help to "disrupt, develop, market and scale an #ecommerce #marketplace that will rival Amazon". Daniel Harris (Founder and CEO of @kendraio) answered the call.In this video, Jarvis and Daniel discuss how they’ve been exploring ways of enabling people to purchase ethical products from multiple shops in an interface that they can personalise. The idea is to make it as easy as possible for people to build sustainable shopping habits. From Amazon to eBay, shopping for products from multiple brands has never been easier. The convenience of these marketplaces is undeniable, but it has come at a cost. Shoppers are now just a few clicks away from getting anything they want, without knowing enough about the companies or products to make accurate ethical or environmentally informed purchases. Do these companies have ethical employment practices? Are they serious about reducing their carbon footprint? Are they contributing actively to social welfare? What is the carbon footprint of individual products? It’s not always easy to find out. Founded in 2013, My Green Pod has been helping people to build more sustainable shopping habits by empowering them to purchase products from planet-friendly brands. Together, My Green Pod and Kendraio are exploring questions such as ‘what if you could shop through an interface that enabled you to filter the products you saw online by how green or socially responsible they were?’LinkedIn Post: / jarvis-smith-09201b10_ecommerce-marketplac...
