Jesse St. Louis has always been enamored with the chaos of moving water. Yet, an obsessive pursuit of his acting career kept him blind to the natural world around him for many years. A fateful experience atop a waterfall in L.A. would inspire him to reevaluate his identity—ultimately leading him on a path to exploration and adventure travel. Jason and Jesse spoke one day near that fateful waterfall about his “infamous” YouTube channel, two years traversing New Zealand by van, the appeal of natural waterslides, the joys of coasteering and canyoneering, and his emotional connection to Wilson Phillips and the San Gabriel Mountains.

Kat Carney and Craig Kinsley have embraced a life of coincidences and (occasionally literal) lucky breaks. A broken hand lead Craig down an unexpected path that would bring him to the 2012 Olympics as a Javelin Thrower. A part-time job as a newspaper reporter ignited Kat’s pursuit of photography and varied experiences. Seasonal jobs away from home brought the two together in Alaska where they would become a couple. Now they are preparing to move into a Suburban and travel the U.S. Jason met them in San Diego where they reminisced about past hitchhiking adventures, recent sandboarding experiences, and their respective passions.

Italian software developer, Luca Chiarabini prefers a life chasing adventures. His habitats of choice are dark damp caves or thundering, cascading rivers. Luca passionately believes in sharing the outdoors with others and does so by documenting unestablished areas, placing new canyon routes, designing software for outdoor exploration, and volunteering as a cave rescue member.
