ABOUT ME and THIS PODCAST: I am Avinoam ("Avi") ben Mordechai. I am an old veteran of the radio broadcast industry. For me, radio programming was very different when I started in the early 1970s as a California "rock jock" radio personality and later in the 1980s as a Colorado radio programmer and secular and religious content talk show host. I selectively do live on-air radio programming where I find opportunity, but ultimately, whatever I pursue with my years of radio broadcast training is not formal. I seek to serve Yehovah with the gifts and talents that He has given to me.
Today, I am passionate about teaching the Bible in an understandable way to modern readers of ancient Scripture. The biblical studies I engage in through my teaching monologues and, in some cases, interviews with knowledgable academic researchers, are, at the very core, Hebraic studies, as I seek to connect the dots, so to speak, between the biblical Hebrew Bible and the Brit Hadasha (the New Covenant or "New Testament").
I aim to help Yehovah's students better understand His Word. I try hard to provide the Almighty Eternal One's students with the tools necessary to become thinking and reasoning followers in the Messianic claims and teachings of Yeshua from the Second Temple period of Israel's Judaism. I strive to provide a safe, nurturing, non-judgmental, and advanced learning environment where students of biblical Scripture can learn, grow, and develop in their knowledge of the Word of Yeshua HaMashiach (the promised Messiah for Jews and non-Jews alike) through a personal relationship with Yehovah, the Almighty Eternal One of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.
Each posted podcast has a running time of 50 minutes divided into two 25-minute program segments. You may freely listen to and download them at your convenience. My strict policy is never to monetize them, meaning to turn them into opportunities for moneymaking or to accept advertisers. I do not ask any of my listeners to donate money to this program. If you are moved to give to this outreach ministry, this is between you and your great Father in Heaven.
Go in spiritual and emotional health.

Worldwide Digital ID Framework for the Mark and Image of the Beast (Program 3)
Season 5 · Episode 159
vendredi 30 août 2024 • Duration 50:00
PROGRAM 3, EPISODE 159
A new Australian Digital ID legislation was passed into Law through the Parliament in Canberra in the latter weeks of May 2024. This new law, which comes into effect on December 1, 2024, is not predominantly a digital identification scheme to acquire public and private sector goods and services securely and conveniently. Many governments worldwide are aligning themselves with the program, albeit under duress, if they wish to function and trade in the global commerce landscape.
On July 1, 2021, the UN officially made available a 257-page published work, “Remaking the World—The Age of Global Enlightenment.” The book is a collaboration between the Boston Global Forum (BGF) and the United Nations Academic Impact (UNAI), which are divisions of the United Nations. The UN maintains an agenda with an embedded spiritual component describing a remaking or re-creating of the world based on Genesis 1:1-3 and 1:26 but calling their new world an “Age of Global Enlightenment.”
Join me for this season 5 and episode 159 of Real Israel Talk Radio as I discuss the Spiritual Anatomy of the Mark and the Image of the Beast. We will look into some critical biblical definitions that you need to know to avoid the new emerging "Beast System" that is now being force-fed to all the nations of the world under the U.N. Agenda 2030 plan of 17 Sustainable Development Goals.

The UN is an international political body founded in 1945. Its charter slogan is: “Peace, dignity, and equality on a healthy planet.” The organization has evolved over the years to keep pace with a rapidly changing world. However, one thing has stayed the same: it remains the one place on Earth with a special status and a large dedicated building in New York City, USA, where the world’s nation leaders can gather, discuss common problems, and find solutions that benefit all humanity.

What is Biblical Salvation? Program PART 5
Season 2021 · Episode 59
dimanche 14 février 2021 • Duration 49:57
Biblical salvation is more than just a theological construct. It is a Truthful and Real condition that every human being on planet earth needs! Two of the more well-known and better expressions of this much-needed gift from the Hand of the Almighty Eternal One is, firstly, that of John 3:16 - "For God so loved the world that He gave His Unique Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life." A second statement to explain this is from Sha'ul (Paul) who wrote in Colossians 2:13-14 - "And you, being dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He has made alive together with Him, having forgiven you all trespasses, having wiped out the handwriting of requirements that was against us, which was contrary to us. And He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross (tree)."
The often-quoted statement from John 3:16 is pretty easy to follow. However, for many, the statement from Colossians 2:14 is a bit more problematic and presents us with a large number of different interpretations. My understanding of the statement is rather straightforward because I think it directly relates back to Genesis 3:22, "Then YHVH Elohim (God) said, “Behold, the man has become like one of us, to know good and evil."
We will come to understand that Paul was NOT AT ALL speaking about the Mosaic Law (the Torah) and yet the Mosaic Law is extremely important to the story. Without the Law, we will miss some rather important details about Messiah and the Jewish-Hebrew biblical law of the Shetar Hov - a bond of obligation. To get freed from this obligation bond that the Garden Serpent foisted upon Adam and Eve, to sign for it, the only way out of that unfair deal was to graciously receive the gift of a payment on our behalf by Mashiach Yeshua. His actions to set us free falls under the biblical laws Acquisitions, Liens, and Discharges of Debt.
On this episode of Real Israel Talk Radio - Program Number 5, Episode 58, we'll have a look into Paul's statement from Colossians 2:14, "...having wiped out the handwriting of requirements that was against us, which was contrary to us. And He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross."
Understanding the biblical laws of acquisitions, liens, and discharges of debt can help us to better understand what Paul was referring to in Colossians 2:14. Prepare yourself to take down some notes.

Admittedly, I don't like sharks! Swimming off the coasts of Australia, there are plenty of sharks and oftentimes, we'll get news of another swimmer or surfer getting attacked by a Great White. What is it about some sharks that they just happen to get attracted to humans? Perhaps it is our smell? After all, sharks are famous for their acute and superior sense of smell. Indeed, their ability to smell the smallest traces of blood dispersed within gallons and gallons of seawater has long been a source of fear and dread amongst swimmers and surfers. In addition, they can smell just a tiny part of their prey, even if this part or substance makes up only 1 out of 10 billion parts of the victim’s body! This ability also extends over hundreds of metres.
Studies about the vast animal kingdom of earth reveals that the African elephant has the strongest sense of smell. Also, a bloodhound is often referred to as a nose attached to a dog since these pooches have an amazing ability to scan any terrain with their nose. And strangely, even the male silk moth has a large and elaborate, feathery antennae filled with scent receptors that enable it to sense a single pheromone scent particle from a female from more than seven miles away!
Spiritually, our creator Yehovah also has a profound sense of smell, yes, and even greater than all of the creation's creatures combined! So, exactly what is it about smell that we should know? The New Testament writer Paul had this to say in 2 Corinthians 2:15-16:
For we are to God the fragrance of Messiah among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing. To the one we are the aroma of death leading to death, and to the other the aroma of life leading to life.
In this episode of Real Israel Talk Radio, Program 4, Episode 57, "What is Biblical Salvation?" we are going to continue with our study about Yeshua and Salvation. Salvation involves a scent, a smell of something sweet as compared to Sin which involves a scent or smell of decay and rottenness.
We will have a close look into the ancient Jewish and biblical idea of salvation based on a teaching of Genesis 3:19, Isaiah 26:19, and Revelation 20:14 as it all relates to Genesis 2:17. All of this should be understood if we want to really appreciate the smell of Divine Eternal salvation through Yeshua.

D.I.Y. Salvation = "Do-it-Yourself-Salvation." For millions and, yes, even billions of people on planet earth, it's quite an attractive option because with this salvation program, "you can have your cake and eat it too," as the old 1700's American colonial saying goes. In other words, it is a commonly accepted idea that if there is an all-powerful deity that requires a soul to be blameless and perfect in order to "go to heaven" when we die then surely, we can appease that deity by living a "good life" and doing things in a way that makes us happy, which many believe will then make the deity happy. Well, if I must say it, there really is no such option available, at least, according to the written words in the Bible.
In biblical scripture, the essential element of salvation can best be summed up as, "it's his way or the highway," based on a 1970's American idiom, "it's my way or the highway." In the Bible, true biblical salvation is impossible to earn; it cannot be done. The only option available that can make "The All-Powerful, Eternal Deity" happy in the Bible is to acquire salvation His way, period. Acquiring salvation our way is not in His plan, which is why D.I.Y. (Do-It-Yourself) salvation is not on Heaven's "approved" list of options in order to get saved.
With this podcast of Real Israel Talk Radio - Program 3, Episode 21-56, "What is Biblical Salvation?" we will have a close look into the ancient Jewish and biblical idea of salvation based on the teaching of Isaiah 53 and the Suffering Servant prophecy. We'll also have a look at the idea of the "New Covenant" in Matthew 26:26-29 as it relates in the two deaths of Hebrew scripture in Genesis 2:17. All of this should be understood if we want to really appreciate the idea of Divine Eternal salvation through Yeshua. It is also an important lesson to learn because of what is written about concerning a great End Times "falling away" in 2 Thessalonians 2:3. Therefore, we must stay the course and never, ever ditch this very expensive gift that we have been given because of our faith.

It is a valid question: What is biblical salvation, at least, according to how the early first-century believers in Yeshua might have likely understood it? In Genesis 1:11-12, we read this:
"Then God said, 'Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb that yields seed, and the fruit tree that yields fruit according to its kind, whose seed is in itself, on the earth'; and it was so."
Here, the teaching principle is, like kind produces like kind. This teaching from the Bible, like kind produces like kind, points us towards man's greatest dilemma; our inherited genetic link to and DNA imprint of the tree of the knowledge of good but evil which is exactly who we are when we are born into this world. With our natural birth into this world, we are joined to the law of Sin and Death physically and spiritually.
Now, the question is, How do we break free from it? How do we get disconnected? The New Covenant biblical answer is given: only through the completed work of Yeshua the Messiah, period. There is no other way of salvation known unto man, at least, according to Hebrew scripture. To NOT choose the path of life in Yeshua means that we have made our choice for what scripture calls the "Second Death" and the "Second Resurrection" (Revelation 20:5-6; 20:12-15).
And how did we get so tangled up in this mess? It started with Adam when his woman said in response to Yehovah, asking her the question, "What Happened?" in Genesis 3:13. She said,"The Serpent married me and I ate." In other words, the seed of the Serpent (Genesis 3:1) came to be ONE with Eve leading us back to the Genesis 1:11-12 principle, "like kind produces like kind." Therefore, we have choices and decisions to make about our eternal condition. Do I continue in my genetic condition from the tree of the knowledge of good but evil OR do I choose eternal life from the Tree of Life, which is the Tree of The Good (Deuteronomy 30:15-19).
On this podcast of Real Israel Talk Radio, Program 2021, Episode 55, we will discover a lot incredible truth from Hebrew scripture; beautiful to some, and quite likely inconvenient to others. Still, biblical truth is truth and each of us must come to a choice, a decision as to whether we want to break-free from our genetic link to Sin and Death; and if so, then it means to accept the Divine Plan by faith, which can and will set us free from the curse of Sin and Death in Genesis 2:17.

What is biblical salvation?
Well, I suppose the answer depends on who you might ask. More often than not, the doctrine of salvation concerns a concept of eternal and spiritual deliverance from what is referred to in English as "sin." However, there is a lot more going on and I think we would do well to expand on the details more carefully, particularly as salvation and sin was defined in the Messianic Jewish mind of the Second Temple period of historical Israel. When Paul told the Philippian jailer what he must do to be saved, he was referring to the jailer’s eternal destiny (Acts 16:30-31). When Yeshua spoke of salvation, he pointed us into learning and understanding the biblical concept of the Kingdom of God (Matthew 19:24-25).
What are we saved from and what are we saved to?
Biblical salvation appears to be linked to an escape from divine "wrath" due to a passed-down curse of sin and death, which naturally and spiritually affects all of us because the consequence of sin is eternal death, according to Romans 6:23. Therefore, salvation means to be righteous or just with eternal life and no sin.
On this 50-minute podcast of Real Israel Talk Radio Part 1, Episode 21-054, I will seek to expand on a biblical meaning and definition that is supported from the biblical lessons about salvation, sin and death, the tree of the knowledge of good but (and) evil and really, so much more! The experience of salvation is beautiful. However, learning to understand the detail that drives the experience is, likewise, also just as beautiful.
Coping with the Pains of Death and Bereavement
Season 2021 · Episode 50
dimanche 10 janvier 2021 • Duration 50:00
On this podcast of Real Israel Talk Radio, I am having a candid conversation with my wife Suzanne about death and bereavement. It is something that she knows about all too well.
Suzanne speaks about the big plans that she and her late-husband made when they prayerfully decided, with the Spirit of the Almighty One leading them, to immigrate away from South Africa and to make a new life with a hopeful future for their family in Western Australia. Nine months after arriving and settling into Western Australia, and with his new engineering job and a bright future, her husband of 22 years was suddenly killed on his way home from work in a car/truck transport accident. For the young widow Suzanne and her two boys, life would never be the same again.
This is Suzanne's emotional story about what happened and how she came to cope with her tremendous loss and the next year and a half of a slow and painful death that she went through along with all the changes that were ahead for her and the family.
If you are going through an untold pain of life and you are trying to get up and get going again or you are suffering through a bereavement due to the death of a loved one, then this program is for you. This is Real Israel Talk Radio AR210109, Episode number 050.
The Christmas Tradition PROGRAM PART 3 of 3
Season 2021 · Episode 53
jeudi 31 décembre 2020 • Duration 49:59
Every year at the end of December and moving into January, it's always the same old story: Christmas and New Years! So, many among family and friends come together to celebrate and party hearty with good food, plenty of revelry, and generally just trying to tuck all of our negative human traits away so that we can all just try to have a great time. After all, it's the spirit and season of "Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year?" Right? C'mon, be joyful and let's celebrate! Well, it depends if one believes in the December 25th Christmas story and the January 1st New Year.
But if you find yourself not at all enjoying getting dragged through the surrounding celebrations and festivities, at work and/or among friends and family, all the while muttering the words, "Bah Humbug! Do we have to go through this again?," well then, you are part of a minority that simply would prefer to just run away and hide; but you know that you can't because most of the civilized world is surrounded by something that is much larger than any of us can even begin to imagine. It's a spiritual battle between Good and Evil in unseen realms and it is at its peak during Christmas and New Years. It's a global culture that defines multitudes of people and goes far beyond the characterizations of 'Ol Saint Nick, Christmas Trees, and an all-night New Year's Eve party.
In this episode of Real Israel Talk Radio, Suzanne and I are going to take a close look into the global Christmas Tradition of the Christmas Tree and find out what it's really all about. Surely, it's not about a traditional 1900's winter solstice celebration on earth; not at all. Rather, it's all about an ancient 6,000 year old creation story rebellion involving a tree from the Garden of Eden called the "Tree of the Knowledge of Good BUT Evil;" from a realm that we cannot see with our human eyes.
What is the take-away lesson for all of us? It is to learn that Yehovah loves his creation and the people of his creation. We will come to understand that all of this End-of-December-and-First-Day-of-January revelry is not for us to embrace but rather for us to connect with people so that we can testify to Yehovah's uncompromising love; to love the people, not their ways. It's not an easy task for anyone but if we try to see the hearts and minds of a lost world of people aimlessly wandering through an empty spiritual desert wilderness and we try to see them in the way the Almighty Eternal One Yehovah sees them, we have a good chance to learn to love people with Yehovah's Truth without loving their ways, despite their propensity for practices that are purely worldly festivals; celebrations that have their roots in all things pagan. This is Real Israel Talk Radio Part 3 of 3 Parts, Episode 53 - AR210102.
