50. *UPDATED* Why Your Identity Matters in Early Motherhood

Episode 50

mardi 24 février 2026Duration 22:54

Send us Fan Mail

Have you ever felt like you disappeared somewhere between diaper changes, feeding schedules, and trying to be everything for everyone?

In this episode, I rerecorded the intro to talk about something that changed my own heart in motherhood: our identity has to be rooted in Jesus Christ, not in our roles, achievements, or how well we keep up with the laundry (which… let’s be honest… is never 😅).

The world defines identity by what distinguishes us—our personality, job titles, group affiliations, or accomplishments. But our identity in Christ is different. It’s based on what He has done for us and who He says we are: made in God’s image, chosen, loved, part of a royal priesthood.

And when motherhood shakes everything you thought you knew about yourself, that truth becomes an anchor.

In this episode, we talk about:

✨ Why rooting your identity in Christ protects you when motherhood feels overwhelming
✨ How losing yourself in your roles can quietly steal your peace
✨ How taking care of your own needs can ultimately benefit your baby and family

Because when you know who you are in Christ, you don’t have to chase perfection or prove your worth—you can show up as a calm, confident, grounded mom who loves her baby from a place of security instead of pressure.

If you’re in that season of wondering, “Who even am I anymore?”… this episode is for you. 💛

  • How to hold love and struggle at the same time
