Ep 399 - 10 Ways To Reduce Hunger And Cravings When Dieting To Lose Weight
vendredi 13 septembre 2024 • Durée 12:41
Are you struggling with constant hunger while trying to lose weight?
Or just battling endless cravings with your busy lifestyle?
You’re not alone.
That’s why in this podcast I share 10 surprising ways to reduce hunger & cravings you may not have considered.
Here’s a sneak peak of the first five:
1. Drink Green Tea or Coffee: Not only do they have numerous health benefits, but they also work wonders as appetite suppressants.
2. Celery Sticks with Black Pepper: This low-calorie snack tricks your body into feeling full while delivering valuable fibre.
3. Psyllium Husk: A simple addition to your meals that expands in your stomach, keeping you satisfied longer.
4. Diet Fizzy Drinks: In moderation, they can squash appetite and lift your mood without adding extra calories.
5. Delay Your First Meal: Shortening your eating window can help you feel fuller throughout the day.
I’ve got 5 more. The 10th in this podcast may surprise you (and is the secret sauce to keeping the weight off).
These strategies have helped our members stay on track, avoid binge eating and achieve their goals. Let’s dive in!

Ep 398 - Hall Of Fame | Rima Patel: Single Working Mum Loses 12kg To Change Her Life
mardi 3 septembre 2024 • Durée 49:30
On this episode of RNT Fitness Radio I’m joined by Rima Patel, who comes on to share her incredible journey with us at RNT. After winning one of our unprecedented giveaways in 2022, she joined with the goal to get into the best shape of her life.
Rima was raising two children after a divorce trying to balance work and family. She hadn’t felt good in her body after her two pregnancies but she didn’t feel like she had any time to focus on her health. She’d tried many “quick fix” diets and exercise programmes but none of them seemed to stick. Rima was insecure in the way that she looked and wanted a change that would stick for good.
And after going all in on the RNT Method, she has found a way to do it all…The programme allowed her to balance time with her family, work and time to exercise in a way that would last.
Her 12kg weight loss was just the tip of the iceberg in terms of her results. Now 20 months into her journey, Rima’s strength has gone through the roof!
In fact, she’ll share a story in this podcast from a recent trip to India which will share the power of this transformation better than I can do with this introduction.
Next steps:

I want to start off by saying a massive thank you to all of you who’ve subscribed, left a review, spread the word, shared this podcast with your family, friends and on your stories, and used this podcast as the anchor for your own transformation journey.
Next year I want to take the podcast to the next level with production, guests, depth and overall quality of content. A big part of attracting guests, and helping spread the word for the podcast, is reviews. Right now we’re at 101 reviews on Apple Podcasts, and I want to see if we can get this to 125 by the end of the year.
The good news is, I was chatting with our supplement partners at Optimum Nutrition, and for the first 25 reviews submitted, Optimum Nutrition have very kindly agreed to send you a free supplement starter pack with the basic essentials you need on your fitness journey. Due to food shipping however, this will be for UK listeners only.
I know this podcast has listeners in over 90 different countries, so I want to do something cool for you too. So for the first 25 reviews submitted from outside the UK, I’ll personally sign a copy of my book, Transform Your Body Transform Your Life, and ship it to you or a loved one of yours. All you need to do - whether you’re in the UK or not, is screenshot your review, and email it over to info@rntfitness.com with your mailing address, and we’ll ship your gift over.
We are now partnered with the world’s leading premium supplement brand, Optimum Nutrition, where you can get 20% off in their US and UK stores using RNT20 at checkout. Please note this won’t be applicable to bundle deals they already have on the site.

Ep 297 - The Traditional Indian Diet: Can It Be Healthy?
lundi 24 octobre 2022 • Durée 40:16
I get asked every single week…“Can I still eat curry and lose weight?” So I asked Coach Sanj if she wanted to jump on a podcast to discuss practical strategies on how to navigate the Indian diet, whether you grew up on it, or whether you’re just an Indian food lover!
I mean, who doesn’t love a good curry?
The inherent problem is…The typical Indian diet set up is atrocious for body composition. Mainly because it’s just loaded to the gills with carbs. And if not prepared with health in mind, probably tons of poor quality oils too. A recipe for disaster. So what do you do? The answer lies in this podcast, coupled with a guide my team and I have put together, which I’ve linked in the show notes.

09:30 - It’s so hard to say no, as it’s seen as rude
10:22 - Typical Indian diet is carb and fat heavy and low in protein
11:33 - How to make adjustments to the Indian diet
14:49 - Use 1 cal spray for tempering
16:30 - You can get the flavour of Indian curries without the extras
17:30 - You can get used to low fat meals
19:47 - Make home cooked taste as good as a take-outs
20:47 - Easy recipe ideas

Ep 295 - Coaching Career Progressions at RNT Fitness
jeudi 13 octobre 2022 • Durée 20:25
I got a special story to tell you today about RNT’s Head of Performance, Ed. He was going to quit the industry. He was fed up with the lack of career progression. He was tired of having no security or stability as a personal trainer. And he was worried he’d be unable to be an active father when the time arrived.
There’s a reason the turnover in the fitness industry is so high - and why you don’t see many coaches in their late 30s, 40s or beyond. For all these reasons.
However, two months ago, Ed celebrated his 3rd year with us at RNT! From a burnt out personal trainer working around the clock on the verge of quitting the fitness industry, to now leading RNT’s coaching team, driving the recruitment of new coaches, and managing the development of our custom-built technology for our members…AND most importantly, being a present active father to his 2.5 year old son.
And by the way, I have no idea what he’d have done, knowing he’s one of the few who genuinely live and breathe everything to do with transformation.
One of the best parts of what I do is seeing my team develop, and giving them a real runway to grow and make a life changing impact globally. When I started RNT, I wanted to fix the sad reality of the fitness industry for most: no holidays, no security, no stability and no career path. The reality for most coaches (both online AND in person) is a constant state of anxiety.
I’ve been there, Ed’s been there, and creating a genuine platform for coaches to THRIVE with their unique strengths, is a key driver in how I set up many of the systems internally. Ed, it’s been an incredible 3 years so far, and I can’t wait to see what the next 3 years hold. A huge thank you for being there through thick and thin, all the highs and lows, and being so dedicated on this mission we’re on of creating the world’s leading transformation company.
In this episode, Ed and I sit down to reflect on the 3 years, and just how far he’s come.
Time Stamps
00:14 - Three Year Anniversary With RNT
00:38 - Biggest differentiators in the quality of life
01:25 - What is different now?
02:26 - What would have happened if Ed quit?
03:10 - What was driving Ed away from the fitness industry?
04:33 - Why Akash started RNT
05:44 - How has Ed’s career evolved?
07:36 - At RNT we create our own ladder
08:15 - RNT is a place where coaches and trainers can thrive
