Ep 399 - 10 Ways To Reduce Hunger And Cravings When Dieting To Lose Weight13 Sep 202400:12:41

Are you struggling with constant hunger while trying to lose weight?

Or just battling endless cravings with your busy lifestyle?

You're not alone.

That's why in this podcast I share 10 surprising ways to reduce hunger & cravings you may not have considered.

Here's a sneak peak of the first five:

1. Drink Green Tea or Coffee: Not only do they have numerous health benefits, but they also work wonders as appetite suppressants.
2. Celery Sticks with Black Pepper: This low-calorie snack tricks your body into feeling full while delivering valuable fibre.
3. Psyllium Husk: A simple addition to your meals that expands in your stomach, keeping you satisfied longer.
4. Diet Fizzy Drinks: In moderation, they can squash appetite and lift your mood without adding extra calories.
5. Delay Your First Meal: Shortening your eating window can help you feel fuller throughout the day.

I've got 5 more. The 10th in this podcast may surprise you (and is the secret sauce to keeping the weight off).

These strategies have helped our members stay on track, avoid binge eating and achieve their goals. Let's dive in!

Ep 398 - Hall Of Fame | Rima Patel: Single Working Mum Loses 12kg To Change Her Life03 Sep 202400:49:30

On this episode of RNT Fitness Radio I'm joined by Rima Patel, who comes on to share her incredible journey with us at RNT. After winning one of our unprecedented giveaways in 2022, she joined with the goal to get into the best shape of her life.

Rima was raising two children after a divorce trying to balance work and family. She hadn't felt good in her body after her two pregnancies but she didn't feel like she had any time to focus on her health. She'd tried many "quick fix" diets and exercise programmes but none of them seemed to stick. Rima was insecure in the way that she looked and wanted a change that would stick for good.

And after going all in on the RNT Method, she has found a way to do it all…The programme allowed her to balance time with her family, work and time to exercise in a way that would last.

Her 12kg weight loss was just the tip of the iceberg in terms of her results. Now 20 months into her journey, Rima's strength has gone through the roof!

In fact, she'll share a story in this podcast from a recent trip to India which will share the power of this transformation better than I can do with this introduction.

Ep 389 - Hall Of Fame | Chandni Patel: Busy Pharmacist Loses 49lbs At 40!25 Jun 202400:38:42
Despite working with a personal trainer in the gym for years…Chandni never saw results. Her trainer was great at helping her work out. But her real problem lay with her nutrition, and she wasn't educated on how to eat for weight loss. Especially with a vegetarian diet and a busy lifestyle.

So just before her 40th birthday, Chandni decided that enough was enough. She wanted to feel good in her body again. She wanted to protect herself from nasty health conditions. And she wanted to build a new identity away from being called "chubby". So she hopped onto the RNT Method and hasn't looked back…

Today Chandni has lost an amazing 49 lbs! She chose to stop making excuses and created a lifestyle that would give her real results. But the best part? She didn't have to give up travel or her social life to achieve it.

I want to start off by saying a massive thank you to all of you who've subscribed, left a review, spread the word, shared this podcast with your family, friends and on your stories, and used this podcast as the anchor for your own transformation journey.

Next year I want to take the podcast to the next level with production, guests, depth and overall quality of content. A big part of attracting guests, and helping spread the word for the podcast, is reviews. Right now we're at 101 reviews on Apple Podcasts, and I want to see if we can get this to 125 by the end of the year.

The good news is, I was chatting with our supplement partners at Optimum Nutrition, and for the first 25 reviews submitted, Optimum Nutrition have very kindly agreed to send you a free supplement starter pack with the basic essentials you need on your fitness journey. Due to food shipping however, this will be for UK listeners only.

I know this podcast has listeners in over 90 different countries, so I want to do something cool for you too. So for the first 25 reviews submitted from outside the UK, I'll personally sign a copy of my book, Transform Your Body Transform Your Life, and ship it to you or a loved one of yours. All you need to do - whether you're in the UK or not, is screenshot your review, and email it over to info@rntfitness.com with your mailing address, and we'll ship your gift over.

We are now partnered with the world's leading premium supplement brand, Optimum Nutrition, where you can get 20% off in their US and UK stores using RNT20 at checkout. Please note this won't be applicable to bundle deals they already have on the site.

Ep 297 - The Traditional Indian Diet: Can It Be Healthy?24 Oct 202200:40:16

I get asked every single week…"Can I still eat curry and lose weight?" So I asked Coach Sanj if she wanted to jump on a podcast to discuss practical strategies on how to navigate the Indian diet, whether you grew up on it, or whether you're just an Indian food lover!

I mean, who doesn't love a good curry?

The inherent problem is…The typical Indian diet set up is atrocious for body composition. Mainly because it's just loaded to the gills with carbs. And if not prepared with health in mind, probably tons of poor quality oils too. A recipe for disaster. So what do you do? The answer lies in this podcast, coupled with a guide my team and I have put together, which I've linked in the show notes.

09:30 - It's so hard to say no, as it's seen as rude

10:22 - Typical Indian diet is carb and fat heavy and low in protein

11:33 - How to make adjustments to the Indian diet

14:49 - Use 1 cal spray for tempering

16:30 - You can get the flavour of Indian curries without the extras

17:30 - You can get used to low fat meals

19:47 - Make home cooked taste as good as a take-outs

Ep 295 - Coaching Career Progressions at RNT Fitness13 Oct 202200:20:25

I got a special story to tell you today about RNT's Head of Performance, Ed. He was going to quit the industry. He was fed up with the lack of career progression. He was tired of having no security or stability as a personal trainer. And he was worried he'd be unable to be an active father when the time arrived.

There's a reason the turnover in the fitness industry is so high - and why you don't see many coaches in their late 30s, 40s or beyond. For all these reasons.

However, two months ago, Ed celebrated his 3rd year with us at RNT! From a burnt out personal trainer working around the clock on the verge of quitting the fitness industry, to now leading RNT's coaching team, driving the recruitment of new coaches, and managing the development of our custom-built technology for our members…AND most importantly, being a present active father to his 2.5 year old son.

And by the way, I have no idea what he'd have done, knowing he's one of the few who genuinely live and breathe everything to do with transformation.

One of the best parts of what I do is seeing my team develop, and giving them a real runway to grow and make a life changing impact globally. When I started RNT, I wanted to fix the sad reality of the fitness industry for most: no holidays, no security, no stability and no career path. The reality for most coaches (both online AND in person) is a constant state of anxiety.

I've been there, Ed's been there, and creating a genuine platform for coaches to THRIVE with their unique strengths, is a key driver in how I set up many of the systems internally. Ed, it's been an incredible 3 years so far, and I can't wait to see what the next 3 years hold.  A huge thank you for being there through thick and thin, all the highs and lows, and being so dedicated on this mission we're on of creating the world's leading transformation company.

In this episode, Ed and I sit down to reflect on the 3 years, and just how far he's come.

Time Stamps

00:14 - Three Year Anniversary With RNT

00:38 - Biggest differentiators in the quality of life

01:25 - What is different now?

02:26 - What would have happened if Ed quit?

03:10 - What was driving Ed away from the fitness industry?

05:44 - How has Ed's career evolved?

07:36 - At RNT we create our own ladder

Ep 293 - Hall Of Fame |Purnima Sharma: Achieving The Impossible06 Oct 202200:50:36

Purnima had always struggled with her weight. She was chubby as a child. And even as she grew into a young adult, she didn't lead an active lifestyle. Years of poor choices started to take its toll. And she found it harder and harder to lose the weight after her pregnancies. She was desperate to make it happen.

So she scoured the Internet for ideas and tried a bunch of things. She tried eating just one meal a day, tried lifting weights at the gym with no direction, tried endless cardio, and she practised yoga. NOTHING worked!

She became confused and overwhelmed by all the information available. And she felt completely stuck. So what happened? The weight kept piling on. And she thought she could do nothing about it. Until… a family member's remarkable RNT transformation was shared on social media. Seeing Shantul's photos and reading his story gave her the motivation to try and shift the excess weight for good, one last time. She hesitated at first. But she knew she had to do something.

So she put aside her reservations and went ALL IN. This time, she started seeing results immediately, and then went on to drop 30 kilos!

And today…She knows how to live a healthy and active lifestyle to fit her busy schedule. She has a better understanding about food and nutrition. And she knows how to be consistent to make progress.  After years and years of feeling unsure of herself, she's now filled with the confidence she always lacked.

Ep 292 - Dan Hill: Karma Credits02 Oct 202200:49:49

Ep 388 - How To Build Muscle Without Amazing Genetics (Fat Loss For The Final Time)19 Jun 202400:52:52

In this next part of our Fat Loss For The Final Time Series, we dive into what exactly it takes to build muscle without amazing genetics.

Expect to learn what makes a muscle grow, the importance of execution and range of motion, and when exactly you should be increasing the weight or adding reps to your training.

We also cover how to maximise recovery so your muscles are actually able to grow, an often overlooked factor when it comes to this process.

If I look at the commonalities in all who successfully stay in shape, training to build muscle whilst eating for health is one of the big ones.

Ep 290 - Four LIES You're Telling Yourself Daily w/ Annie Yatch19 Sep 202200:44:27

After building three successful businesses with her Navy SEAL former husband and business partner, Annie Yatch and her team now focus their coaching and training on trauma freedom, feedback systems and accountability processes that create the most sustainable fulfillment and success for entrepreneurs and their teams.

Her work moves companies, entrepreneurs, individuals, and teams to uncover the experience they want out of life and business, as well as the truth about why they haven't been able to access that fulfilling experience yet.

As an entrepreneur for the last 12 years and a graduate of Georgetown University's School of Foreign Service and Georgetown's Masters Program in International Security and Counterterrorism, Annie set out in the world to keep those she loved safe, but found a deeper passion and undeniable skill in helping entrepreneurs identify the subconscious lies that hold them back in all areas of life.

With hundreds of companies and hundreds of thousands of individuals irreversibly impacted by the processes and systems that she and Larry Yatch developed through SEAL Team Leaders, Annie is confident that every business owner has access to the solutions for every business problem as long as they're willing to start telling the truth. Her job is simply to help you find it.

Annie lives in Park City, Utah where she and her two boys (5, 7) are on the ski slopes together every weekend—and when clients and program members start to release those 80+ hour weeks to access their own version of weekend ski trips, that's her truest measure of success.

I met Annie personally during my travels in the US earlier this year, and I was blown away by her insight into the stories high performers and high achievers tell themselves on the journey of growth, accomplishment and progression.

From associations when we're younger, to struggles we normalise in our day to day lives, this is one of those episodes that's going to make you question your beliefs, rethink your behaviours, and take action on lifting your ceilings of potential.

Ep 285 - The Art Of Persuasion, Negotiation & Overcoming Any Objection w/ Joe Marcoux14 Aug 202200:52:25

Welcome back to another episode of RNT Fitness Radio, where I'm joined by Joe Marcoux, an entrepreneur who wants to help people. They have a great product or service. They have a big heart and truly want to help people with what they have to offer. But every time this entrepreneur speaks with a prospect, they crumble when they hear an objection. Objections like: It's too expensive, I can't afford it, I want to think about it or I need to speak to my spouse. This becomes more than lost revenue. This creates stress for the entrepreneur and unfortunately another person who is not getting the help they deserve.

Now imagine meeting a guide that can help any entrepreneur blast through the toughest objections with a proven method that delivers results or your money back. What would happen if you were properly coached to navigate past any objection? Joe Marcoux is the founder of the SOS Dojo. SOS stands for Sales Objection System. A Dojo is a place

where members go to not only train, they "spar". This live sparring helps improve their ability to communicate and help their prospects cross the starting line to get the help they are looking for.

I met Joe at a business event in Nashville earlier this year, and we hit it off right away, exploring topics such as body language, empathy, persuasion and how to help more people when you have something amazing to give to the world, like RNT.

I know many of you are high performing executives, entrepreneurs and want to level up in your career, and persuasion, behaviour change, negotiation, and selling ideas, is a critical part of what you do, so I wanted to bring Joe on to share some of his wisdom.

I literally wrote pages of notes after recording - it's that good, and I love just how transferable all the lessons are.

Time Stamps:

00:55 - Biggest mistakes with negotiations

03:07 - The more question we ask the more we can get what we want

03:47 - Ask yourself what you want to achieve

15:08 - Lean into your most difficult conversations

16:58 - Changing feelings changes destiny

19:01 - Conversations are made up of 55% body language, 38% tone and 7% words

21:41 - What happens when you lose your keys?

22:57 - Let go of the weight

32:13 - The art of persuasion

Ep 281 - Hall Of Fame | Adam Schweig: From Quick Fixes To A Total Lifestyle Transformation18 Jul 202200:41:45

Adam tried everything he could think of to get lean, fit and strong. He had hired nutritionists and PTs. Tried quick-fix plans, fad diets, Zoom classes and more. But, there was nothing to show for it!

And when his self-confidence started taking a hit as well he knew something had to change. Adam then decided to stop wasting his precious time and money on plans that were far from effective and instead signed up with RNT! With RNT Adam finally found the structure, strategy and system that was lacking before.

He finally had the whole picture. He understood that nutrition, training, sleep, steps, macros all played a key role in helping him build his own unique lifestyle fitness solution. He realised that his lifestyle needed a huge adjustment, which might seem rather daunting if you are a one-man team. But he wasn't alone.

With the world-class team of experts with decades of experience who'd worked with 1000s of individuals across the world to support him, he was in good hands! And with this guidance from the RNT coaching team, Adam set the ball rolling and is absolutely smashing his results.

He now looks and feels at his best and in his own words, which you'll come to hear shortly, he says:

"RNT is great for anyone that is looking for long-term results, not a quick-fix. It's about creating lifestyle changes and learning how to adjust mindsets that you never thought possible. It's not going to be easy at times, but the learnings are invaluable."

Welcome back to another episode of RNT Fitness Radio, where I'm joined by RNTer Stela, who's journey with us began at the same time her frustration with her corporate career peaked.

The unhealthy habits of her corporate life had taken a big toll.  She felt unfit, unhealthy and ready for a change. After listening to my book about 18 months ago, she realised things were a bit different here at RNT.

Because we not only focus on helping you get into amazing shape, but giving you the control to actually stay there.

The insights she gained from the book propelled her to quit her 9-5, focus on building her business and invest in her health.

In this episode we dive into Stela's history with stress eating, using food as a crutch, and her problems with yo-yo dieting. We also uncover how the RNT Methodology gave her the structure, strategy and system to upskill all aspects of her life.

The physical transformation really has been the vehicle for Stela's personal and professional growth. Today, Stela feels energised and confident and I can't wait for you to hear her story.

Ep 279 - What It Takes To Be A World Class Transformation Coach04 Jul 202200:56:25

I have very high standards for trainers at RNT Fitness. I've interviewed 100s over the years, and the only ones I've seen to be successful in actually working with us long-term are the ones who tick all of the following three attributes:

1) Walking the walk. It's crazy I gotta even say this but with online training on the rise, it's too easy to get in half decent shape once in your life then hide behind your laptop relying on old pictures. Any trainer worth their salt is always walking the walk, at every stage of the journey that they coach their clients on. Whatever that phase may be - muscle building, lifestyle or fat loss, they should be pushing the envelope and really living it. By the way - it doesn't mean you need to be shredded year round. It means you gotta practice what you preach year round.

2) Obsessed with learning everything to do with transformation. Training, nutrition, mindset, lifestyle…you need to be living and breathing it, and always be deep diving. I've spent tens of thousands of hours and £ on my learning over the past decade, and it doesn't ever stop. The best trainers are the ones who can't get enough of the topic. And it's easy to spot who's frontin' and who takes this seriously as a long-term career AND calling.

3) Caring more about the client's holistic result than the client (not just before/after!). You can't measure this one, only feel it. With zero barrier to entry or accountability in this industry (this will change soon for sure), there are a ton of cowboys posing as 'online coaches' just because it's trendy + a wave. The reality is, most don't even care about the work they do, and it's not a real part of who they are. It's a phase. Again, you can just tell who's in it for a quick buck and who's dedicated their entire life to this. The best trainers are the ones who don't have a plan B, they are all in and they are obsessed with the results of their clients. All they want is to transform lives.

If you're a coach who ticks all three and wants to join the home of the best coaches, email us on careers@rntfitness.com today, or click the hiring application link in the show notes today.

Ep 275 - Hall Of Fame | Ian Bower: How To Run A Sub 2h 45 Min Marathon As A High Performance Entrepreneur06 Jun 202200:52:42

In 2019 I set out to complete a half marathon, because I wanted to try something new and I love a challenge. My aim was to run it under 2 hours, which I accomplished with a time of 1 hour 58 minutes. So when long-term RNT member Ian said he was aiming to go for a sub 3 hour marathon in his first 6 months of RNT, I thought he was bonkers. And then when he got that and said he wanted to shave another 15 minutes off in the next 6 months after, I was just excited to see him smash it. And so he did. As an avid runner all his life, he'd never cracked the code of body composition, nutrition and strength training, the missing pieces for him to accomplish his long standing running goals, and most importantly, unlock pinnacle high performance in all aspects of his life. I really enjoyed this conversation discussing the mindset required to run such a fast pace, and the daily discipline needed to excel at such extremes.

Timestamps:

00:00 - What are the series of trigger moments that led you to join RNT?

06:20 - How did Ian find the process of actually making a change?

07:30 - What are the things he learned about nutrition that is a big eye opener for him

12:50 - Ian has been running for years, but what is the difference of running now  with RNT compared to before

17:01 - Where did he get the mindset of being really competitive?

20:30 - How does Ian structure his life being a very busy entrepreneur

25:30 - What exactly has he been chasing whenever he's running

30:17 - What goes through his mind when he's running

40:31 - What does he think makes a high performer?

41:50 - How's the physical been the vehicle for Ian

45:00 - What would he say to someone who's been at the beginning of their RNT journey

47:27 - What almost kept him from joining RNT

48:30 - Final words - what's next for Ian?

Ep 274 - Building A Real Career In The Fitness Industry (From A Burnt Out PT Working 3 Jobs!)01 Jun 202201:02:03

After 1000s of hours on Zoom, millions of WhatsApps, Slacks and emails, it was incredible spending a few days of quality time with Ivan, who in March celebrated his 3rd year with us at RNT.

As a small token of gratitude for helping build RNT to where it is now, and being there through thick and thin, all the highs and lows, and always always living, breathing and believing in the mission behind what we do at RNT, I decided to fly him out to Bali for a few days with us from Australia.

It's rare to find people in the fitness industry who practice what they preach and genuinely put service above everything. Ivan is one of those.

The best bit is seeing how his career has developed, and how he's personally grown so much over the years. From a burnt out personal trainer working three jobs around the clock (!), where if you didn't work, you didn't get paid…To now heading up all of our education and research, internally for our members, and externally in all our long form content.

One of the best parts of what I do is seeing my team develop, and giving them a real runway to grow and make a life changing impact globally. When I started RNT, I wanted to fix the sad reality of the fitness industry for most: no holidays, no security, no stability and no career path.

The reality for most trainers + coaches (both online AND in person) is a constant state of anxiety. I've been there, Ivan's been there, and creating a genuine platform for trainers + coaches to THRIVE with their unique strengths, is a key driver in how I set up many of the systems internally.

When Ivan was here, we decided to sit down and have a chat about his 3 years, and how he's found the journey so far. Ivan, it's been an incredible 3 years so far, and I can't wait to see what the next 3 years hold.

Timestamps:

00:00 - Intro

00:30 - What stopped Ivan before from going on a holiday?

00:45 - What changed?

01:35 - Reflecting how a PT goes on a holiday

02:45 - As a PT - having a child, extremely exhausted

05:07 - AV's trigger moment of switching from a PT to an entrepreneur

12:46 - Ivan celebrating his 3rd year anniversary - his RNT journey

19:30 - Ivan started to rebuild the curriculum

25:11 - Where do you give the most value to your team?

48:00 - Fighting Dopamine

53:15 - Technology as a gamifier

57:06 - What's the most exciting thing for Ivan here in RNT

Ep 273 - How I Got Shredded On A Plant-Based Diet (Step-By-Step!)27 May 202200:55:55

My biggest hesitation before going fully plant-based was losing all my fitness gains. So when I finally took the plunge on Jan 1st, 2022, I set myself 3 goals to prove to myself it could be done:

1. Get into the best shape of my life, beating anything I'd achieved with meat

2. Get shredded glutes, the ultimate "extreme" marker of body composition

3. Lose 10kg in 14 weeks

Here were the rules:

- No meat

- No fish

- No dairy

- No eggs

- No stimulants

- No fat burners

- No weird diets

- No mock meats

- No insane cardio

- No steroids

Here was the game plan:

- Plant-based diet

- Calorie deficit

- Moderate protein (no more than 2g/kg)

- Nutrient dense whole foods

- 4x 45 min weights

- Basic supplements (Vitamin D, Multivitamin, Algae omega 3, Creatine)

- 10-15K steps

Here's how I did it:

- Ruthless Consistency

- 100% Commitment

- Discipline, Habits, Routine

- ALL IN mindset

I went from a kilo of meat a day to fully plant-based

And I learnt that…

You can still be fit, healthy and strong.

You can still get shredded.

You can still build muscle.

It's time to break beliefs, bust myths, and challenge perceptions that you need meat, fish, dairy and eggs to get results on your fitness journey.

You don't need it. Your gains won't stop.

If you want to see exactly how I did this week-by-week, check out the case study I've written up: https://www.rntfitness.co.uk/14-week-shredded-vegan-plant-based-diet-body-transformation/. Link in bio.

So what's next?

Continue on this incredible journey! There's no going back now.

I've already been hitting personal bests in my training. It's time to push to new heights of muscle and strength!

If this inspires at least one person to eat less meat and still get fitness results, then it's mission accomplished.

As part of our Fat Loss For The Final Time series, I'm going to be bringing on more and more of our long-term members who've successfully managed to go from the best of their shape, to being in shape for life.

Getting in shape is all about activity and nutrition over a long enough period of time. Staying in shape is about building a new identity and becoming a new person.

So in this episode with Satesh Sehdev, who's been with RNT for 2.5 years, we dive into how he's been able to stay within 5% of his photoshoot weight year round at the age of 50, despite juggling his family and work commitments as a busy doctor in the NHS. This is textbook execution of the RNT journey, so if you want to hear from one of our long-term members how to get in shape AND stay in shape, don't miss this one.

Ep 270 - The War On Obesity, Technology & The Future Of Fitness w/ Dr. Rusha Modi09 May 202200:55:45

This episode was originally recorded for the Alchemy of Politics podcast, hosted by Dr. Rusha Modi, who also happens to be a long-standing RNT member based out in California. I enjoyed the conversation so much we decided to share it across both platforms. In this turning of the tables, Rusha took a whole different approach to this interview, where we talked about the government's response to Covid-19, the war on obesity that we're losing, the future of the fitness space, plant-based eating, and who our real competitors are. A fascinating conversation I'm excited for you to dive into!

08:12 - How people workout

12:51 - What is the future of training?

21:50 - Quoting Helaine Knapp "Our new relationship to fitness might reflect the fact that we've gained a generalized sense of mortality. We are all realizing that we're going to be moving every day for the rest of our lives. So we better be careful with our one body and not pound the pavement with high intensity workout seven times per week." Do you see that in your experience?

25:42 - How do you scale a solution to solve the issues of metabolic obesity and nutrition-related health issues

37:05 - Why do a Vegan photoshoot?

40:40 - How much of social perceptions of what it means to look performing, be vegan, including the myths around that played a role in this transformation for you

It's unfortunate in many communities, the topic of sexuality is still taboo, and in many cases, not accepted, and in this episode, Pavan speaks to the truth of it, and how he managed to take this leap to finally live as his most authentic and truest self.

Ep. 266 - Hall Of Fame | Shwetha Jairam: A Mother's Journey To Peak Performance and Strength11 Apr 202200:45:05

As a busy, working mother of two young boys, Shwetha had always tried to stay fit. She thought she made really good food choices, she ran regularly and practised yoga and pilates.

Heading towards her 40s she believed that sporting well-defined abs after two pregnancies was a pipe-dream! She thought she would never be able to increase her strength levels so she never ventured anywhere near the weights area at the gym. She was convinced that this was as good as it could ever get!

All of these myths were completely debunked after joining RNT! Her strength levels have certainly shot up and her running has gone up a few notches. But more importantly she is filled with confidence and feels so much more sure of herself.

In this podcast she talks more about her journey to strength and how she overcame her own negative self-limiting beliefs.

11:05 - As a mum, how did she navigate around the feeling of guilt wasting food.

12:36 - How does she navigate around dinners and family meals

14:11 - What are the biggest challenges and obstacles she faced when she started the process

17:59 - How did she  manage the intimidator factor in the gym

22:23 - What was the process of getting to her checkpoint

29:27 - The journey of self discovery

31:31 - How has consolidation been for Shwetha

35:05 - What are her plans long-term

36:09 - How has the physical being the vehicle for Shwetha

We also dive into the topic of immersive challenges such as backpacking solo as a woman in South America, climbing mountains, and why physical extremes like getting bodybuilding shredded, can lead to more personal growth than just about anything in life.

Ep 263 - Hall Of Fame | Dr Tapan Patel: How To Fix Your Body Without Star Studded Genetics21 Mar 202201:05:26
On this episode of RNT Fitness Radio, I'm pleased to be joined by Dr Tapan Patel, who's been on an incredible journey with us over the past few years. It all starts when Tapan suffered with extremely rough symptoms of covid-19 very early on, before any of the lockdowns. After recovering, he proceeded to "celebrate" by gaining about 10-15kg in the space of two months, until his trigger moment, when he ran out of any clothes that fit him!    Having tried in-person personal trainers for many years, as well as trying to achieve the body he'd always wanted for over 25 years, he decided enough was enough, and he wanted a blueprint that worked for busy, time-strapped high performers like himself, who didn't have star studded genetics. That's when he came across RNT, and after being skeptical about working with an online company, he later says in this episode, it was the single best investment of his life, just as he turns 50 years young this year. You can also read Tapan's case study in the show notes below.   Timestamps:    00:30 - What are your trigger moments that led you into joining RNT?  04:38 - At what point did you say that enough is enough? 07:23 - What was it like, your experience with Covid?  13:14 - What didn't work when you had a personal trainer?  17:10 - How are you balancing nutrition and training as a busy entrepreneur and a high performer?  22:25 - As things go back to normal, bars open up, how do you keep track of your  27:16 - Travel tips 34:10 - How did you battle snacking and picking up a glass of alcohol after your photoshoot?  40:05 - Running 4 miles every 4 hours for 48 hours 45:33 - What really works for you long term after a photoshoot?  48:49 - What's the biggest lifestyle solution you've learned since your photoshoot? 53:20 - What are the key pieces of advice you would give to someone who is just starting their journey?  57:05 - How's the physical being the vehicle for you?    Thanks so much for listening!
