Vanessa Bennett and Dené Logan are two soul sisters and therapists who connected over their shared love of depth psychology—known as the psychology of the soul. It is a template for diving beneath the surface to examine the complex natures of being human while on the quest for wholeness, including the relationship to spirit. Through their training and lived experiences with depth, yogic psychology, and mindfulness, they developed a passion for supporting others in living their most authentic lives while cultivating a fulfilling and rich relationship with the Self, capital “S.”
Every Wednesday, Vanessa and Dené look to demystify, de-stigmatize, and desensitize what goes on both inside the therapy room and in daily life, through soul-provoking conversations with fellow seekers, thought leaders, changemakers, and real people during live coaching sessions as they navigate the hard work it takes to be a human.
In this episode of the podcast, Vanessa and Dené talk about the ways in which we are all being challenged to stay with ourselves through the discomfort of releasing the things we have been holding as certain.
we talk about:
why it becomes necessary to be in acceptance of loss for us to show up authentically in relationships
how our culture conditions us to be in a constant space of preoccupation- often in an attempt to defend against the fear of endings
how we are collectively being invited to come into an acceptance of the nature of impermanence
the very human desire to cling to the known when we are about to step into the next phase of our development
..and so much more!

In this week’s episode, Vanessa and Dené talk about the energy that is being felt by so many of us as we move through what many astrologers are calling a ‘turning point’ eclipse season.
we talk about:
the immense amount of shadow work we’ve been asked to dive into in the midst of the current eclipse season
the dehumanization that starts to come up when we place people on pedestals
how we are being asked to look at where we’ve outsourced our sense of security to other people
how our disappointment in others often reflect where we’ve left expectations unexpressed
..and so much more!

Our 2nd “best of” is one of our live coaching episodes.
We dive into: what codependency and anxious attachment often look in real life—and why they’re so hard to untangle a roadmap for staying with discomfort instead of outsourcing soothing—without shame.
Over the next 4 weeks, we’re re-airing some of our favorite episodes to gear you all up for what’s to come.

Socioeconomic Status Matters: We discuss the socioeconomic narratives, and social norms in those spaces, that shape opinions around certain sexual experiences, and how that shapes someone’s relationship to sexuality as they grow
Prioritize Your Pleasure: Let’s flip the script on performative sexual experiences and the importance of prioritizing pleasure for yourself
Choosing Sex vs Choosing Partnership: Patriarchal limitations that attempt to differentiate partnered and unpartnered women, and the social norms that attempt to devalue women who are ‘chosen’ sexually but not ‘chosen’ for partnerships
Ep 147 Q&A Session: Creating Boundaries with Ourselves
Épisode 147
vendredi 7 avril 2023 • Durée 20:33
This is part of a series where we discuss topics and/or questions submitted by our listeners. In today’s episode, we’re helping two listeners with questions that arise around potentially ending a long term relationship.
We’re discussing:
Recognizing cyclical patterns in relationships and the difficulty we often have interrupting our patterns unless something comes into play that forces us to address it
Falling in love with potential instead of paying attention to what the dynamic feels like in our day-to-day lives
Doing the inner work to balance the feminine energy of clinging when we feel uneasy vs the masculine energy of creating firm boundaries and cultivating self respect
The societal pressures of being measured by whether we are in a relationship, regardless of whether that relationship is healthy or fulfilling
Finding what your motivation is to stay, and whether or not you have space to grow while in relationship with this person
And allowing yourself to be in grief and your inner wisdom to guide you in the process of uncoupling

mercredi 5 avril 2023 • Durée 01:14:28
Vicky Vox is a profound healer, a performer, spiritual empowermentor, a psychic medium, and a sorceress. She has spent a lifetime inspiring others through her work in the arts, standing unapologetically in the truth of her gifts, and raising the vibrational frequency to one of love and acceptance in every single space she enters.
We sat down to talk with Vicky about:
1. Navigating a world that feels against you when your spiritual and physical bodies don’t align with the conditioned limitations of those around you
2. The importance of decolonizing our therapeutic models in an attempt to provide safe spaces for those outside of the narrow landscape of who the western therapeutic modalities were designed to serve
3. The ways that our society often attacks those who model a radical acceptance of self, for holding up a mirror to the ways we have been conditioned to reject the deepest truths of who we are
4. How the integration of our masculine and feminine energetics can serve as a means to investigate and know ourselves more fully
Vicky is pure magic in human form, and we are so excited to share her incredibly profound wisdom through this conversation.

This episode is part of a series where we discuss topics and/or questions submitted by our listeners. Today’s question is: Why is it such a bad thing for your partner to need you and not just choose you?
We’re discussing:

2. The idea that the feeling of being needed, in any chosen relationship, gives us a sense of purpose and/or false sense of identity
3. How to reclaim your ability to be okay with the unknown and the possibility that somebody could leave you, in a romantic or platonic relationship, and still feel fulfilled within yourself

mercredi 22 mars 2023 • Durée 29:22
We had an opportunity to do an Instagram Live with Dr. Shefali, three time New York Times best-sellers author, including her two landmark books The Conscious Parent and The Awakened Family.
We sat down to talk about her most recent book, The Parenting Map, and:

2. Shifting our parenting paradigms from being in control to being in charge, and what that tangibly looks like
3. The difference between ego-enhancing boundaries and life-enhancing boundaries in parenting
4. What to do when your parenting paradigm/style doesn’t align with your partners, and what that means for your children
Dr. Shefali is such a wise and lovely light. We know that you’re going to be as inspired by this conversation as we were!
