You built the business. Now what? Welcome to Your Big Next—the podcast for entrepreneurs who’ve conquered success but know there’s more. Here’s the truth: success alone isn’t enough, especially when it’s costing you your family, purpose, or quality of life. I’m Liz, founder of Luminary Leadership Co., homeschooling mom of four (yes, chaos is my love language), and the trusted sounding board for visionaries like John Maxwell. Over the past dozen years, I’ve coached hundreds of high-level leaders through the exact moment you might be facing now: when you realize scaling harder, hiring faster, and hustling more aren’t the answers. Here’s the thing: the world says do more. But what if the key isn’t doing at all? What if your next breakthrough requires slowing down, tuning in, and stepping into the calling that’s been quietly waiting for you to notice? This podcast isn’t about tweaking your to-do list or finding hacks to make life “easier.” It’s about flipping the script on success and stepping boldly into the work that actually matters—the kind that lights you up, fuels your family, and leaves a legacy worth talking about. Every week, we’ll hit you with paradigm-shifting ideas, game-changing strategies, and the kind of leadership insights that make you rethink everything you thought you knew about success. If you’re ready to trade burnout for brilliance, hustle for heart, and empty achievement for a legacy that actually means something, then welcome home. Your Big Next is waiting—let’s find it together.

270. Your Big Next Starts Here: Break Out of Maintenance Mode and Into Your Life's Work

Episode 270

lundi 14 avril 2025Duration 25:23

Welcome to Your Big Next: The Start of Something So Much Bigger

This is it—the official beginning of Your Big Next.

Formerly the Luminary Leadership Podcast, this show has evolved into something bolder, deeper, and more aligned with what I know so many entrepreneurs are craving right now: true, purpose-driven transformation.

If you’ve been feeling like you’re stuck in maintenance mode—checking boxes, hitting goals, but still wondering, “Is this it?”—this episode is for you.

In this kickoff episode, I’m sharing:

✨ The story behind this evolution and why I couldn’t stay where I was

💥 What it really takes to stop playing small and step into exponential growth

🧠 How to clear the clutter, realign with your calling, and take bold action

🧭 Why your next chapter isn’t about “more”—it’s about meaning

This isn’t just a rebrand—it’s a reset. A reawakening. A roadmap for leaders who are ready to trade in surface-level success for soul-level significance.

261. Energy Mastery > Time Management: The Key to Sustainable Elite Level Performance and Fulfillment

Episode 261

lundi 10 février 2025Duration 35:55

You’ve probably heard it a million times—‘time is your most valuable resource.’ I used to believe that too, but I’ve come to realize that it’s not actually time that matters most… it’s energy. As entrepreneurs, we can have all the time in the world, but if we’re running on empty, we won’t get far.

In this episode of the Luminary Leadership podcast, I’m breaking down why energy management is the real key to high performance and a fulfilling life. I’m sharing my own journey—dealing with Lyme disease, mold toxicity, and the massive impact they had on my productivity and well-being. We’ll talk about how to spot the energy leaks in your life, how to work with your natural energy rhythms (instead of against them), and simple routines to keep your energy levels strong so you can show up fully—without burning out.

If you’re tired of feeling drained and stretched thin, this one’s for you. Let’s shift the focus from just managing time to maximizing energy. Hit play and let’s dive in!

171. Why You Need an Integrator: Build Your Dream Team (Pt 3)

Episode 171

lundi 15 mai 2023Duration 40:52

Today we are wrapping up our series on building your dream team by interviewing my lovely Operations Director Marieanna. We will find out what it is like to work with and support a visionary like me and the importance of us understanding each other so we can work together towards the company’s mission.

Many times, visionaries have a difficult time grasping the fact that they can actually find someone who is invested in their mission and willing to work with them to bring it to fruition.

An integrator doesn’t want to be the face or the visionary, they want to be there as a supporting member of the team, able to assist in building the dream. Whether it's a virtual assistant who's checking off boxes or a higher level strategic partner who is helping set the vision for three to five years, everyone should feel invested in the mission.

So, in order to properly build and lead a team, the visionary must come from a place of leading and helping their team members build. There is a big difference between leading versus managing and if you have a visionary who believes in their team members, they’ll be able to unlock potential that they didn't even know existed.

It's not just about making a hire and hoping that person stays. It's about building a team and being willing to allow them to step into their potential, whether you have 1 person or 10 people on your team. So if you are ready to find out how an integrator can help with building your dream team, listen in!

170. How to Scale Your Business as a Visionary: Build Your Dream Team (Pt 2)

Episode 170

lundi 8 mai 2023Duration 52:41

As a visionary entrepreneur, I have always been driven by the big picture and casting the vision for my business. However, I realized that in order to achieve true success and growth, I needed to have the right team and strategic partnership in place. This is why I am excited to be a part of this mini-series, where we will be discussing the importance of strategic partnership in entrepreneurship.

Today, my lovely Operations Director, Marieanna, will be interviewing me to give a glimpse into the mind of a visionary and the obstacles we face when building and scaling a business. One of the biggest challenges I faced as a visionary was trying to do everything myself, from project management to hiring and handling the day-to-day details. I thought I could be the creator, CEO, and project manager all at once. However, I soon realized that this approach was unsustainable and hindering my business's growth. Even when I hired for these positions, I struggled with turnover and finding the right fit for my team, which caused more stress than growth.

This is where strategic partnership comes in, and I believe it is crucial for entrepreneurs to understand the power of it. In this mini-series, we will be exploring how strategic partnership can help optimize your team and time, and ultimately lead to greater ease and faster growth for your business.

169. How to Build Your Dream Team As an Entrepreneur (Pt 1)

Episode 169

lundi 1 mai 2023Duration 34:40

Are you ready to get over a major hurdle?

Many entrepreneurs face the challenge of not knowing how to work together cohesively with their right-hand person, whether they are a contractor, an OBM, an integrator, or even a spouse. This gap prevents them from achieving the wildest dreams that they have for their business. So, today we’re talking about partnership and strategic collaboration between the visionary or the CEO and their right-hand person, who is usually responsible for bringing their ideas to life. You are going to learn how to build your dream team as an entrepreneur.

I want to share my experiences and pull back the curtain on everything we have learned at the Luminary Leadership company, providing valuable insights and tips that can help entrepreneurs see more growth and success in their businesses. So, if you're feeling stuck in your growth, hit a financial plateau, or keep launching without achieving the expected results, it's time to gear up and take advantage of this opportunity to learn how to leverage that partnership in the best possible way.

And just for the sake of just keeping it simple, I'll use the term integrator. What's an integrator? I'm using that term to blanket the person in the business who is the right hand, who is not necessarily the leader in the organization but they're more of that strategic brain; they're behind the scenes versus the visionary who is typically the founder of the business or the creator in the business. Okay, let’s build your dream team!

168. How to Overcome Imposter Syndrome: Tips for Entrepreneurs and Leaders

Episode 168

lundi 24 avril 2023Duration 35:09

The fact that you have found success in business doesn't mean you won't struggle at times. In fact, that struggle that you might feel is often evidence of the contrary, it's evidence of the fact that you're on the brink of a breakthrough.

Today I want to talk about something that is so pertinent to every entrepreneur on the face of planet Earth and that is imposter syndrome - specifically imposter syndrome in entrepreneurs who have already found success. Because if you've already found success as an entrepreneur, sometimes you have this added pressure of feeling like you shouldn't feel like an imposter because you've already done the thing. Your ego kicks in and it tries to protect you, leading you down a negative self sabotage and rabbit hole that isn't going to serve you in your growth.

So, if you’re an entrepreneur and a leader who knows that they're made for something beyond where they are today aka if you're ready for another level, but you can't seem to breakthrough, keep listening!

167. Creating a Company Culture

Episode 167

lundi 17 avril 2023Duration 47:39

If I had to pick one differentiator that propels entrepreneurs and their businesses forward instead of keeping them stuck in the muck and mire of just what comes with running a business, that would definitely be creating a visionary company culture.

I have studied and watched successful entrepreneurs for years and one of the common things that I've seen across the board is that those who “made it” are the ones who’ve created a culture that is future thinking, instead of one that is reactionary and only dealing with what's right under their nose.

Keep in mind that when I say company, it can mean just you and your spouse or you and your two contractors, or you and a small team of 5 to 10 people and that's okay.

Because a culture starts with you alone.

165. Our Natural Childbirth Story of Our 4th Baby

Episode 165

lundi 3 avril 2023Duration 56:18

We had our 4th baby!

For those of you who are wondering if I am officially 11 months pregnant, I'm here to tell you that I'm not - I had the baby. And I've been terrible about telling you about it! So today I want to share the birth story of our fourth child.

It's always pretty vulnerable and a little overwhelming to share a birth story. To me, it's so personal. It is so private, so special and sacred. But at the same time, I love hearing from other moms their experiences, because I feel like that's what I attribute to my own growth and just understanding of what birth can be. Each time I have a baby, I feel so inspired by the process and I feel like I'm kind of born anew with this new baby. I also feel like we've learned so much over the years and the difference between what it was like when I had our firstborn, Jack, to this most recent birth has been like night and day. Both Michael and I have grown so much, we've learned so much about birth and the experience, we felt more empowered and more confident in making decisions that are right for us and our family and our children.

I have been asked a lot of questions like:

What was the birth experience like? Why did you choose a birth center? Tell us about the baby. What’s the name? What’s the gender?

So, I am going to share a BIG time behind the scenes of a birth that I have never experienced before!
