286. How to Celebrate Imbolc: Moving Out Of Winter Hibernation, Planting Seeds, Setting Goals, Spring Cleaning, Maiden Energy Returning, Goddess & Saint Brigid, & Groundhog Day

lundi 26 janvier 2026Duration 37:47

I made you a FREE companion guide for this episode. This FREE instant access PDF will give you 13 easy and enjoyable ways to celebrate + 12 journal prompts to help you reflect and process the inspiration of this season.

I love honoring the Wheel of the Year with others by gathering together to celebrate how Nature is modeling wisdom for us in each season & aligning ourselves with it.

This turn in the Wheel of the Year is Imbolc (pronounced Imolk, from the Celtic phrase "in the belly" referring to the lamb's pregnant bellies this time of year.)

We are finally moving out of Winter hibernation and awakening to Spring!

This is the time for Spring cleaning, planting our seeds (literally and metaphorically), connecting to our playful and adventurous inner Maiden archetype, and setting goals for what we want to create this year.

Imbolc is an ancient Celtic winter fire festival honoring the return of the sun and the goddess Brigid. In more recent times, we have celebrated it in religion as St. Brigid's Day or Candlemas, and even secularly as Groundhog Day.

Press play to hear:

- the origins and history of Imbolc, Brigid, St. Brigid, and even the weather predictions of Groundhog Day what Nature is modeling for us physically, spiritually, and energetically, and how we can align- 13 easy and enjoyable ways to celebrate Imbolc- 12 journal prompts to help you reflect and process the inspiration of this season

285. Problems are portals & nourishment is always the answer

lundi 19 janvier 2026Duration 01:05:35

What if your body isn't fighting you but Intelligently communicating with you? What if problems aren't enemies to be avoided but portals meant to help us? What if the answer isn't to reduce our stress but to expand our capacity and make ourselves more resourced for it?

"Healing through nourishment" and "nourishment as the solution for everything" is a topic I'm constantly discussing with my clients that brings such relief, hope, ease, and resourcing to them, and I want to share it with you today too.

You'll learn:

  • why approach goals are always more effective than avoid goals
  • how we can "crowd out" unwanted habits and behaviors with nourishment
  • traditional models of healing: the scientific view vs. the heroic view vs. the nourishment view
  • how problems are actually allies, helpers, and portals for our transformation
  • how nourishment helps us with sickness, stress, sadness, and more
  • easy, accessible ways to nourish our body, mind, and spirit
  • what to do if you feel like you don't have the time, money, or access to nourish yourself

276. What is the Celtic Lunar Tree Calendar? Why I follow it instead of Western astrology and how you can too

lundi 17 novembre 2025Duration 16:43

Free Guide: How to Work With The Celtic Reed MoonIn this episode, I'm introducing you to the Celtic Lunar Tree Calendar. With 13 trees for 13 moons, it's rooted in earth- based animistic Celtic tradition that offers a slower, simpler, more ancestral rhythm than Western astrology.

After attuning to the Moon with Western astrology for many years, I still appreciate it, but I realized it's something my grandmothers would have had no concept of.

"What would my grandmothers have done?" is a question I find myself asking a lot lately, including how they would've attuned to the Moon and their Intuition.

If Western astrology feels overwhelming, rigid, flat, or disconnected, the Tree Calendar offers a return to ancestral knowing—one that honors your inner timing, the seasons of your life, and the natural intelligence of the earth.

You’ll hear how this ancient way of tracking time transformed my spiritual practice after a life-changing pilgrimage to the British Isles, how it connects with my maternal lineage (and maybe yours too!) and why it feels more grounding, intuitive, and emotionally resonant for me than following the constantly shifting zodiac.

I'll walk you month-by-month through what I've learned since starting to follow it in July: the teachings of the Holly, Hazel, Vine, and Ivy moons, while weaving in stories of my own and my clients'—including devotion in caregiving, intuition finding you when you haven’t found it, the loving art of concealment, and the myth of limitless resilience.

I'm also introducing the next lunar cycle that starts Nov 19—the Reed Moon (the Clarity Moon)—and explaining why Winter naturally brings sharper vision, deeper dreaming, and the perfect conditions for divination.

If you’ve been craving a spiritual path that feels simpler, slower, earth-rooted, and ancestral… you will love this episode.

Press play to hear:

  • What the Celtic Lunar Tree Calendar actually is and how it developed through Celtic animist worldview

  • Why I left Western astrology as my primary lunar practice, and how I still weave astrology in gently

  • How my British Isles pilgrimage awakened my connection to my maternal lineage

  • Why the tree calendar feels like “home”—and why it resonates so deeply for modern women

  • How Holly taught devotion through a powerful client story about caregiving

  • How Hazel revealed intuition through Celtic mythology and the question, “What if you don’t access your intuition—what if your intuition accesses you?”

  • How Vine teaches truth and timing, including the story of loving concealment

  • How Ivy teaches resilience through resourcing and relationship, especially with the Unseen world

  • Why winter clarity is real, both spiritually and scientifically

  • What the Reed Moon (the Clarity Moon) is all about as we enter this next lunar cycle

  • A peek at all the upcoming trees in the remaining months of the Celtic year

This episode is an invitation to reconnect with the rhythms our grandmothers lived by.

To follow these teachings month by month, I send out weekly emails in rhythm with the current tree’s lessons—all for free.

186. 10 things that make it easy for me to eat healthy when I travel (and not gain weight!)

lundi 13 mai 2024Duration 50:51

Travel is one of my highest values, and it’s important to me to have a lifestyle that supports it. My food boundaries are also super important to me. We all know that being outside of your normal home element can make it feel more challenging to eat in a way that honors yourself while traveling.

I was talking with a few different clients about this recently, and between helping them with nutrition support ideas for their travel, and having my own while I travel, I thought I’d share these same tips with you today too!

In this episode:

  • how to know your values so they can guide your intuition (even intuitive eating)
  • how to create your food boundaries so you have a clear and loving definition of success when you travel
  • the importance of keeping up with non-food-related health strategies (things you likely never thought of and easy ways to do it!)
  • Actual links to clean-ingredient convenience foods (and other health supporting items) I bring with me when I travel

lundi 6 mai 2024Duration 01:12:48

Have you noticed how weight loss is really so much deeper than changing the outward appearance of your body? It's really SOUL work and SPIRITUAL work.

That's what we're digging into on this episode where I was interviewed by intuitive empath & therapist Michelle Poverman's on her new podcast Into The Work.

We're talking about:

  • Is it possible to truly love and accept our bodies?
  • The importance of shifting out of fear, force, and shame motivation and into being motivated by Love
  • The impact of our childhood experiences on our adult health
  • How everything is either an act of love or a cry for love
  • What is intelligent resistance? Why we always have a Very Good Reason for doing or NOT doing something
  • Sharing my own painful experience of being overweight and how I lost over 50 lbs. through healing
  • Sharing my experience with psychedelics to heal
  • Understanding the effects of psychedelics on our brains, for healing, learning, habit change and more

Need help with the soul work of weight loss?

184. What's right vs. what's loving

lundi 29 avril 2024Duration 58:12

Have you ever felt torn between doing the "right" thing and doing what feels loving? Have you done what you felt obligated to do, what you "should" do, or what you were told was right, even though your body and/or your intuition were telling you otherwise?

In this episode:

  • Releasing the question of what's right and instead asking the question of what's loving
  • Why they are truly the same thing when we look at the idea of situational ethics and Love being the original foundation of all laws and rules
  • Why we completely miss the point when we follow the rules or expectations without love
  • How doing what's not loving for yourself is actually not even truly loving to others anyway
  • Moving away from beliefs being a battleground and into beliefs being a playground
  • Moving away from relationships rooted in shared beliefs into relationships rooted in shared values
  • A new definition of safety - not avoiding danger and harm but the RESILIENCY to move through them

Beltane marks the halfway point between Spring Equinox and Summer Solstice. Beltane is a celtic celebration of fire, fertility, rebirth, sexuality, and sensuality. It celebrates the union of the God and the Goddess, of masculine and feminine energies.

DID YOU KNOW?

The stories of Robin Hood and Cinderella seem to be based off the Beltane story of the union of the May Queen and the Green Man. Beltane is filled undeniably filled with sexuality and sensuality. The May Pole is a phallic symbol. To go A’Maying was to have a one night stand in the woods with a masked stranger in celebration of Beltane.

In this episode, you'll learn...

  • the origins, history, and symbolism of Beltane
  • what Nature is modeling for us physically, spiritually, and energetically, and how we can align

182. What kind of Intuition do you have?

lundi 15 avril 2024Duration 01:05:15

One of the most helpful things I've learned on my journey of coming home to my Intuition is to understand MY specific kind of Intuition according to my human design, and on this episode, intuitive therapist Nadia Last is breaking down the different types.

You can look up your human design chart for free with Moonrise, Nadia's new human design community that she started with her business bestie, Sam.

Your chart will tell you your intuition type (aka "authority"), but you can listen to this episode either before or after and learn about all the different types of intuition, several of which might resonate with you even though you'll have a dominant type.

In this episode:

  • What is intuition and why does it matter?
  • What are some of the biggest blocks to our intuition and how do we overcome them?
  • For people who may never have heard of it, what is human design and how do we use it?
  • What are some of the key elements of human design that might be most helpful to understand about ourselves?
  • What kind of conventional advice do we get about intuition and how is it misaligned for certain human design types?
  • How can we pay more attention to where our intuition may already be speaking to us?
  • What are some easy and accessible tools for connecting with and expanding your intuition?
