Welcome to Weird Web Radio!

This episode features the return of Luxa Strata! It's been a few years since Luxa was on the show so it is an incredible honor to have her back!

Luxa is the host of one of my personal favorite shows, The Lux Occult Podcast. As I say in this episode, each one of her episodes come together like a cool old school variety radio show. This one just happens to be all about the occult, magic, trance, music, bibliomancy breaks, and interviews! Please go check it out on all the platforms. 

Luxa is also at the forefront of experimenting with Chaos Magic, spirituality, and building community. The Green mushroom Project is growing and going strong. The new project within that community is called Void House. That's where Luxa and others are exploring Consent and how that can be a driving mandate and value in magical communities and magical work. There's more. So much more! The experiments are one of the great things about the Green Mushroom Project! 

This episode was a lot of fun! We covered a large area of ideas, inspiration, experiments, and what it even means when we say Self. 

Luxa's BIO:

Luxa Strata is an artist, magican, and host of the Lux Occult podcast: a show about the intersections between Magic, Art, Philosophy, and Science as viewed through the lens of a Chaos Magic. Luxa is the lead-organizer of The Green Mushroom Hyphosigil Project: a large-scale, ongoing group magickal working and working group focused on building connections, fostering creativity, and empowering individuals to become more agentic through the use of magick and esoteric technology; as well as Void House: creating a consent-forward magical space, investigating the healing and alchemical properties of consent and offering free or low-cost consent education to the magically inclined.

Jason Miller - the Strategic Sorcerer himself - is BACK! Weiser publications has turned his work into a couple classics! Protection and Reversal Magic got an update and rereleased. Sorcerer's Secrets got an update, a new title, and rereleased. That is now called Real Sorcery! 

This episode is very special for many reasons. Jason came to me at a time when I really needed to have a good conversation with a friend. His timing was perfect! Mortellus is the High Priestex of the Coven of Leaves in Rutherfordton NC, a Gardnerian Coven operating an Outer Court training group who like to say that they are a bubbling cauldron of bitter esoterica slithering their way through Western North Carolina. Additionally, they are a Mortician, Author, Medium, and Necromancer. Their book of pagan death rites and rituals for Llewellyn is set to come out Winter of 2020 with a second un-announced project in the works. Currently, they resides on 3 acres that are hastily becoming overgrown again with their husband, daughter, two year old boy girl twins, two chickens, and one really, really ridiculous dog. They are the author of a book on pagan death rites and rituals titled "Do I have to Wear Black?", and also The Bones Fall in a Spiral: An Introduction to Necromancy and the Magic of Death.
