S4, E15 - Bophanie and Ben - Recurrent miscarriage

Season 4 · Episode 15

dimanche 10 avril 2022Duration 51:44

After experiencing two missed miscarriages, filmmaking couple Bophanie and Ben Lankester (@ben.lankester) decided to channel their trauma into something positive. Through their production company they approached Tommy’s with the idea for 'Who's Counting?', a short film telling the story of a couple who have to endure the emotional and physical trauma of successive losses before they can receive support. To create the film, Bophanie & Ben brought together a team of people affected - or close to those affected - by pregnancy and baby loss. The making of 'Who's Counting?' has led to Tommy's creating the 'Record of Loss', where parents who have experienced miscarriage are being encouraged to add their names to the database and be part of the very first attempt to count the number of miscarriages in the UK, in order to present the scale of the problem and change policy. Add your name to Tommy's Record of Loss - actions.tommys.org/a/record-of-loss Watch the film here: https://vimeo.com/654495916--------------------------------Thanks for listening to the podcast.
