#87 Victoria Mckenna, The Fashionable Project Manager (Part 2)

Season 2022 · Episode 87

dimanche 9 octobre 2022Duration 35:54

Born in the 80’s, Victoria McKenna was quite a naughty child, very artistic and quite sensitive. She never actually ‘knew’ what she wanted from life for a very long time, not until 2014 anyway. From leaving university, she followed a path into the world of Telecoms sales, which was the start of a long, enjoyable career, finishing up as a Project Manager, which she loved.   As a young adult, for years she dreamt and spoke of designing clothes for women but didn’t have the faith to bring it to fruition. She learnt how to power dress in a corporate world and became obsessed with waistcoats (which she still is to this day) and looking serious, but with an edge.   In 2014, life changed when after a period of stress, she had a stroke. Life stopped, she lost her career and it took a total of two years to properly recover, with heart surgery thrown in. If ever there is a time to take a long hard look at yourself, it is during a period of enforced downtime and when there’s no certainty you’ll pull through. But no time for sympathy, because it was then that she realised she had been given a second chance. Life was still upside down with divorce and a lot of upheaval going on, but this whole period was the making of her.  So, the brand was born. she registered the name and started the journey.   https://www.victoriajanemckenna.com/ https://www.linkedin.com/in/vickymckennapm/
