Episode 35 - Jake Catterall

Jake Catterall is an ultra endurance athlete who has just run across the continent of Europe.

In 94 days he ran 5660 KM’s from the northern tip of Norway to the southern tip of Spain. However, this project titled ’Running Europe Together’ was only part of the puzzle in Jakes series of adventures entitled ‘Way Beyond’ which will eventually lead to a solo crossing of Antarctica. In this conversation Ben and Jake chat about Jake’s reasoning behind this challenge, how injury at one point threatened the project and how the finish line is never really the finish line.

Her running journey began, as many people’s did in lockdown before in 2022 Misha ran her first Marathon in Brighton in memory of her Dad, who sadly passed away. Misha continues to run not only for herself but to keep that connection with her Dad and has raised much needed funds and awareness for the MND Association. A very inspirational person and someone that really oozes enthusiasm and positivity, you’re going to want to put your trainers on after this episode!

Episode 33 - Poppy Tank

Poppy Tank is the British Steeple Champion, who only learnt the discipline after coming back from America where she spent her collage career in Utah.

With a long list of accolades that includes the fastest ever debut by a British woman over the steeple chance, Poppy has now set her sights on Paris 2024 and is going to do everything in her power to be in the team and on the start line.

She also recently joined us at Cheshire 10K winning the race over all and dedicating the victory to a collage teammate who was sadly murdered.

Episode 31 - Chloe Dooley

From a swimming background, Chloe Dooley only discovered triathlon two and a half years ago when she entered and won her first event. Since then she has gone from strength to strength, she is the British Aquathlon champion and this year decided to close her season by toeing the line at Ironman Barcalona 70.3.

Going into the event Chloe would have been ecstatic with a top age group finish, but 5K into the run took first place and held on to win her first Ironman Middle distance event. Certainly a name to watch out for in the future.

Episode 30 - Will Robinson

Will Robinson is an Ultra endurance athlete from Bristol, who has taken on plenty of incredible endurance challenges over the years, including recently running 200 miles around a 480 meter park in Bristol.

During the challenge Will experienced the worst pain he’s ever felt, was deprived of sleep and, as we all do got slightly over excited at the start, meaning that things started to unravel towards the end of the challenge.
 
With that said Wills ‘Why’ kept him moving forward and in completing the challenge he managed to raise enough money for his friend (also) Will to receive a life changing piece of equipment after his life was changed in an accident. That and so much more in this conversation with someone that really wants to inspire YOU to get out of the door.

Six years ago Milly Pickles had an accident that led to her having to leg removed. Following that day Milly began sharing her journey online and in doing so has gained an incredible following. Her content seeks to inform and inspire, showing viewers and subscribes that if you keep on going and don’t give up you can achieve anything.

In 2023 Milly also became the first Amputee to complete the Redbull 400, the worlds toughest, steepest 400m race, which as you’ll find out in this conversation was quite the challenge. Milly has also no set her sights on a marathon with the journey to 26.2 beginning NOW!
