The majority (or just the loudest parts) of the Vancouver Canucks media and fanbase is infuriatingly negative. No matter what the team does, they find something to complain about. I have made it my mission to provide an alternative media source that focuses more on the positives. The Vancouver Canucks will win the Stanley Cup this year (and every year thereafter).

How Canucks Fans Are Feeling Right Now (feat. You)

Season 1 · Episode 13

jeudi 4 juillet 2024Duration 01:20:47

In this episode, I chat with you—yes, you! I have separate calls with three fellow Nuckheads: Ryan from Hawaii (NavyRymar), Josiah from Calgary (VonHavok), and Travis from Burnaby (TLsnow44). We discuss the Canucks’ recent free agent signings, try our best to cope with losing Nikita Zadorov, share our memories from the past season, and set our expectations for the next one. If you’d like to be a guest on the podcast, send your name and city to nuckheadpodcast@gmail.com. Also, apologies for missing last week's episode—I was moving. Thanks for listening, everyone!

Thanks for the Memories (feat. turning the tables)

Season 1 · Episode 12

jeudi 20 juin 2024Duration 55:51

In this episode, I chat with Connor from the popular Vancouver-based YouTube channel “turning the tables.” As fellow die-hard Canucks fans, we discuss which free agents we hope to see back next season, share our favourite memories from the 2023/24 season, and we even dive into some music talk. Check out Connor’s channel—you’ll love it, especially if you’re a music nerd like me. Thanks for listening, everyone. Stay tuned for the new video coming out this evening!

How to Get through a Bad Season (feat. DeanerHD)

Season 1 · Episode 3

jeudi 11 avril 2024Duration 42:41

This episode features fellow Canuck fan and independent creator, DeanerHD. A few weeks ago, comments started popping up on both of our YouTube channels asking us to collaborate with one another and I figured that this podcast would be the best way for us to do that. We selected a handful of viewer-submitted questions including "How do you get through a bad season?" and "What is the best trade in Canucks history?" and hit record. Hope you guys enjoy!

Thanks for listening everyone!

The Night Nils Höglander Beat Me in Ping Pong

Season 1 · Episode 1

jeudi 21 mars 2024Duration 32:58

In this inaugural episode of "The Nuckhead Podcast," I answer viewer-submitted questions, tackling topics ranging from comparing the current Vancouver Canucks team to the iconic 2011 squad to discussing the infamous President's Trophy Curse. I explore the potential re-signings of Canucks players on expiring contracts and delve into who I believe is the most underrated player on the team this season.

Additionally, I take a look at the looming playoffs and analyze which teams might pose the biggest threats to the Canucks' postseason aspirations. I also explore personal preferences, including my favourite non-Canuck hockey player of all time and cherished Canucks-related memories. But the episode wouldn't be complete without me sharing the story of when Canucks forward, Nils "Big Hög" Höglander, challenged me to a game of ping pong and won. Thanks for listening!

Re: I'm Just Here for the Riot

Season 1 · Episode 11

jeudi 13 juin 2024Duration 13:28

In this (very short) episode, I wanted to share my thoughts on the new "30 for 30" documentary that aired on ESPN last week. "I'm Just Here for the Riot" covers the 2011 Stanley Cup riot in Vancouver following Game 7 of the Finals between the Vancouver Canucks and the Boston Bruins. In my opinion, some of the negative reviews it has received are driven by resurfaced anger, which is understandable. However, I believe this anger is leading to a misunderstanding of the filmmaker’s intent and that’s what I wanted to talk about. Hope you enjoy this shorter episode. Back to the regular scheduled programming next Thursday!

Talking About the Canucks for Two Hours (feat. DeanerHD)

Season 1 · Episode 10

jeudi 6 juin 2024Duration 02:00:36

In this episode I’m joined by fellow content-creator, DeanerHD. We spend two hours chatting about all things Vancouver Canucks; from their heartbreaking game seven loss against the Edmonton Oilers to Elias Pettersson’s “knee injury.” We also try to solve their offseason puzzle by choosing which UFAs/RFAs we’d sign if we had the power to do so. Hope you enjoy this much longer instalment of the show! New videos coming next week!

My Favourite YouTuber (feat. Pinholes Graham)

Season 1 · Episode 9

jeudi 30 mai 2024Duration 46:29

In this episode, I chat with Pinholes Graham, a fellow content creator who, in my opinion, produces the best hockey-related videos on YouTube. If you haven't seen his work yet, start with his most popular video, "You Are Being Mythologized (Do Not Resist) – The Career of Carey Price," which has garnered over 130,000 views at the time of writing this. After that, dive into his captivating "Playoffs Past" series, where he explores nostalgic playoff matchups from the late nineties and early two-thousands – you won't regret it. Once you've finished, don't miss his hilarious "LOHL" series, where he straight-facedly covers an entirely fictitious league with absurd player names (and is only updated once a year, on April Fool's Day). Thanks for listening!

What It’s Like to Play for the Vancouver Canucks (feat. Eddie Läck)

Season 1 · Episode 8

jeudi 23 mai 2024Duration 33:53

In this episode I interview another ex-NHLer and Canuck legend – Eddie "The Stork" Läck. Eddie signed with the Vancouver Canucks as an undrafted free agent in 2010. Over the next two seasons, he refined his skills with their AHL affiliates, initially with the Manitoba Moose and later with the Chicago Wolves. His big break came in October 2013 when he earned a spot on the NHL roster, serving as backup to Roberto Luongo. Eddie swiftly endeared himself to fans, not only with his exceptional goaltending but also with his infectious and often comical personality. Today, that same charisma defines his role as a realtor and fuels his mischievous antics on Twitter. Thank you so much for watching, listening, commenting and engaging with the content I've created all season. I'm not going anywhere so stay tuned!

Stop Doubting the Canucks

Season 1 · Episode 7

jeudi 9 mai 2024Duration 30:07

In this episode I discuss the upcoming matchup between the Vancouver Canucks and the Edmonton Oilers in round two of the Stanley Cup Playoffs. I compare their lineups, focusing on the likes of Connor McDavid, Quinn Hughes, Leon Draisaitl, and Elias Pettersson. I react to a bunch of the predictions you guys sent to me on Instagram. Lastly, at the end of the episode you get to hear my live (insane) reaction to the Canucks’ historic comeback win in game one. Enjoy!
