If you were living under a rock you may have missed that I ran my first retreat this weekend and welcomed 7 gorgeous women into the calm of my sisters beautiful Margate Beach House where they made new friends, reconnected with themselves and left feeling lighter and brighter...but it almost didn't happen. I had to say no to letting fear win and the fascinating thing was that many of the women who came also had to overcome the voice of fear themselves in order to book their ticket - and boy, were we all glad we didn't let fear win this time! In this episode I open up about my own journey from the corporate world to a path that feels more genuine and fulfilling. This episode is especially for women navigating careers where you've reached a level of success but it's come at a cost to your overall satisfaction levels. I highlight how crucial it is to embark on a journey of self-discovery and what I call, the process of [un]becoming, to truly reconnect with who you are because from that place, we can build the life you want. Of course there is the importance of ensuring that your actions are consistent with your words, but it's the negative impact that any incongruence can have on the effectiveness of your leadership that is often underestimated.
