Overcoming Overwhelm & Living Your Dreams with Christine Wilson
Episode 59
mercredi 2 octobre 2024 • Duration 01:12:23
What would you do if you had all the time you needed?
Join me in this fascinating episode with my friend Christine Wilson, mom of six, licensed professional counselor-turned-coach, and the founder of the first whole brain planner on the market, the Think Time Planner. And she is also now my neighbor!
After creating a pen + paper neuroscience experiment in her garage, Christine developed a whole-brain process to help people get their brain on their team, fight distractions, and start living their dreams. As one who struggled with ADHD, distractions and overwhelm, Christine knew how hard it was to find time for what mattered most, and she wanted to help herself and others overcome these obstacles.
For 8 years now, Christine’s company, Think Time, has been changing lives and equipping people to get more of the right things done in less time.
LISTEN IN, and let Christine teach you how to “get your brain working like a Tesla rather than a 1950s Ford.” You’ll learn some surprising strategies for overcoming overwhelm and living your dreams - whether in your business or day-to-day life.

Love Your Imperfect Home
Episode 58
mercredi 3 juillet 2024 • Duration 09:50
In a world of home design influencers and Pinterest perfection, it’s easy to look at our homes and highlight the imperfections or things that need to be fixed...rather than see the beauty that’s already there.
JOIN ME, and let’s reframe things a little bit. Let's look at our homes in a different way. This episode is a celebration of the places in our homes where our beautiful daily lives are lived - all the cracks, creaks, and unfinished places. 🏡

Birth & (Re)birth: Celebrating the Strength of Women with Sarah Ford
Episode 49
jeudi 18 janvier 2024 • Duration 51:28
No matter what our story is, at some point we all must learn to choose our hard, hold things loosely, and surrender.
Join me for a conversation with my wondrous friend Sarah Ford - birth doula and aspiring midwife, owner of (Re)birthing Wellness and Held Postpartum, and lover of all things health and wellness. This episode is packed with inspiration for every woman, whether you’ve birthed or not, whether it’s been awhile, or even if you had a difficult birth experience.
Sarah Ford’s passion for birth began as a homeschooled 11-year-old when she witnessed the home birth of one of her siblings. After starting her own business and attending her first birth as a doula at age 16 (!), she soon began official doula training with a midwife. Since then, Sarah has been serving families all over Tennessee as a doula and midwife-in-training and says, “I will never get over this work I get to do!”
In her gentle but powerful way, Sarah shares about:
How homeschooling helped her find her career path
Her perspective about natural birth
Body image and the power of women’s bodies
The importance of community
Her top nourishing practices for health and wellness
…And so much more
This episode is a celebration of all women and the strength we possess.

A Messy Beautiful Year
Episode 48
mercredi 10 janvier 2024 • Duration 29:27
Let’s kick “new year, new you” to the curb - instead of neat, tidy goal lists, let’s approach the new year another way. How about just be yourself this year, but healthier and more rooted in what matters most? How about instead of perfection, we embrace the messiness of life and find the beauty in that?
In this episode, we talk about how to distinguish between the messes that DO need to be cleaned up in our homes, families, jobs, relationships, souls…and which ones are holy messes - signs of our beautiful humanity.
Let’s walk into the new year not by adopting passing fads or trends but by adding new facets to our lives that are nourishing for the long haul.
Down here in the mess, there is growth through struggle, and perhaps that’s the most lasting kind.

Meaningfully Busy
Episode 45
lundi 6 novembre 2023 • Duration 29:30
So…is being “busy” OK or not? For so long, I’ve shunned the idea of busyness, when I have actually enjoyed being busy when it’s about things that are life-giving and purposeful. Who knew?
In this episode, I share a quote from another author that led me to an a-ha moment that deeply impacted me. I couldn't wait to share it with you. I unpack the idea of busyness and share a key practice that has been helping me to enjoy this very full season of life without giving into chaos and frenzy.
We CAN take control of our days and structure them in a way that is life-giving, even when they’re full to the brim! JOIN ME, and let’s figure it out together.

Fall Gathering Series Part 5: Return to the Table
Episode 44
mercredi 25 octobre 2023 • Duration 18:30
Why, if nourishing ourselves and each other is one of the most important things we can do as human beings, would we allow so many other things to replace it?
Let’s not be in danger of losing something elemental that holds us together - returning to the table.
In this final part of my Fall Gathering Series, we talk about why it’s so important not to lose momentum after you’ve gone through the effort of inviting people in. I share some key ways to move forward and tips that have helped me.
Then, I tell a story from my life-changing trip to Italy and what I learned from an unforgettable experience in a village surrounded by olive and lemon groves. 🫒🍋

Eat Your Flowers: The Magical World of Honeybees with Sarah Gilliam
Episode 43
mardi 17 octobre 2023 • Duration 54:21
Join me for another delightful conversation with my multi-talented friend Sarah Gilliam, community advocate, beekeeper, photographer, believer in flower power, and homesteader raising her family just up the road from our farm. And this time, we’re talking about the magical world of HONEYBEES! 🐝✨
We recorded this on Sarah’s dreamy porch at her home in Hilltown, TN. As an experienced beekeeper of 10 years, Sarah shares her wisdom and beekeeping stories. If you’re already into beekeeping, or if you literally know nothing about bees, you’ll learn so much from this episode about what these truly miraculous creatures can teach us and how they draw us together in community. Sarah also provides you with realistic ways YOU can support bees and other pollinators, right where you are.
Listen for all the authentic country sounds of nature and birdsong in the background, two interludes where her fluffy orange cat walks across my laptop (#homesteadproblems), and a little sound clip at the end of Sarah’s own bees in her apiary. We couldn’t resist throwing in some un-bee-lievably corny bee puns, too. 😆
P.S. My previous conversation with Sarah, Cultivating Community and Home, is one of the most popular episodes on this podcast!
