In this space, we get what it's like to have a crazy, grumpy girlfriend brain. To make up scenarios that hurt your own feelings. To misinterpret your partner in all the worst ways. "I just want to feel better." Sound familiar? Then you're a lot like my clients who struggle to dream big and go after their fullest potential.
In this week's episode, I talk about the benefits of setting big goals, aiming high, and deciding to transform your life completely rather than just tweaking what you've already got.
That growth experience and the process of becoming you 2.0 is too good to miss out on just because your brain is a little worried about the effort required. Let's go.

mardi 11 avril 2023 • Duration 19:57
I'm not taking any prisoners in this week's episode. It's time we have a serious conversation about "What if I'm right to be anxious and jealous?"
I have a very firm belief about this thought and looking back at your past self, with 20/20 hindsight. I decided very early on in my journey that I would never think this specific thought, and in this week's episode, I'll share why.

35. Listener Q&A: Is It Normal to Not Have a Lot of Sex?
dimanche 29 août 2021 • Duration 28:48
In this episode, I coach you guys on some of the issues you submitted to me on Instagram during the week. We cover topics such as attraction, random sadness, keeping the spark alive, and what's normal when it comes to the amount of sex we're having.
A common theme in a lot of these questions is that we look outside of ourselves to find explanations and solutions to emotions created inside of our brains. The questions I answer in this episode show a wide variety of how that issue can show up in our lives.
Enjoy!

33. Asking Your Partner For Help: Do They Pass The Test?
dimanche 15 août 2021 • Duration 22:08
Asking for help from your partner seems pretty innocent, right? It's something you should be able to do and they should be there to help you out when you need it. But is it really that simple? For a lot of grumpy girlfriends, the act of asking for help is more so a test and a shortcut to grumpy town than a genuine desire to get help with a task or chore.
In this week's episode, I share my past struggles with asking for help and using it to test my partner. I also talk about why "If you want it done right, do it yourself" is such a good rule of thumb in any relationship.

30. The Fairytale Relationship: Dreamy or Destructive?
dimanche 25 juillet 2021 • Duration 16:05
If thoughts create feelings and no other human can make us feel anything, does that mean that love and romance and all the fairytale things we all dream of go out the window? This kind of black and white thinking is the brain's way of saving energy when learning new things, but as you guys know by now, this podcast is not about saving energy. It's about growing through the discomfort. And sometimes, that discomfort comes from nuanced thinking.
What is the main difference between the fairytale narrative we all grow up with and the way I teach about relationships, and which one is truly more negative and counter-productive when it comes to the ultimate goal of love and connection?

When I first started learning about these concepts, my brain would argue with them a lot and come up with all the reasons why it makes no sense and why it might even be harmful to think about things this way. So if that's what your brain is doing, totally normal. Promise. Or at least as normal as I am hehe.
This week, I dive into 6 common misunderstandings about the work that I do, about thoughts creating feelings, what it means, and how to relate to neutral facts in the world.
