Today’s episode is with Aussie rules legend and artist, Darcy Vescio.
Darcy is best known for their incredible AFLW career as a two-time All-Australian, two-time AFLW Leading Goalkicker and Carlton Football Club Best and Fairest winner. Off the footy oval, Darcy is an artist, creating work across a range of mediums including painting, textiles, illustration and design.
We chat about growing up in rural Victoria, the importance of a good footy canteen (and, of course, Darcy’s snack of choice), and why approaching your art practice like you’re training for sport might actually be the way to go.
If you’ve got a little Troy Bolton in you and can’t choose between sport and art, this episode is a reminder that maybe you don’t have to choose at all.
