Welcome to the Journey Through Middle Earth Readathon FAQ episode. Join us while we break down each of the prompts and share some ideas for books to add to your TBR. Follow Thorin and Company as they make their way to the Misty Mountain. This journey will take place over approximately 2 months hitting 12 stops along the map of Middle Earth. Included in this readathon will be happy hours, instagram lives, watch parties, and reading sprints. We will post all of the information and the schedule on Instagram and in the discord group so you can follow along. Please let us know if you have any questions!
The readathon starts August 1st till September 22nd and the location prompts are as follows:
- Bag End: A book that reminds you of home
- Bree: A book with a bar/pub
- Trollshaws: A book with an MC who likes to cook
- Rivendell: A book with a river on the cover/in the title
- The Misty Mountains: A book with riddles/test for the MC
- Eagles Eyrie: A book with an animal sidekick
- Beorn’s House: A book about shifters
- The Mirkwood: A book with an enchanted forest
- Elvenking’s Halls: A book with a prison break
- Lake Town: A book with a corrupt leader
- Dale: A book about/with a ruined city
- Erebor aka The Lonely Mountain: A book with a dragon
The character prompts are:
- Saruman: Book with an evil sorcerer
- Gollum: Book with a ring on the cover or in the title
- Sauron: Book with an all encompassing evil
- Eagles: Book with birds on the cover or in the title
- Galadriel: Book with Elves
- Elrond: Book with a wise MC
- Radagast: Book with a quirky MC
- Beorn: Book with a bear on the cover or in the title
- Smaug: Book with a dragon on the cover or in the title
