Alexis, predictably, raves about the Life and Death Brigade episode, while Suzanne loves the Women of Questionable Morals and the dog that brings Richard and Emily together. They go on a few tangents, as can be expected, and look forward to the rest of the season. They will be back on September 17 with Episode 12.

This week Alexis and Suzanne cover Season 5 Episode 11, "Women of Questionable Morals." They are both sad that Lorelai is having such a bad time with snow, and a little confused by how Luke manages to create a safe skating rink using a garden hose. Suzanne questions Emily's dislike of stew and Alexis is grossed out by Lorelai drinking people's leftover coffee.

Jess is finally here! In this episode, Alexis and Suzanne cover Season 2 Episode 5, "Nick & Nora, Sid & Nancy." Suzanne is obviously beside herself (as I'm sure you can tell by her extremely expressive voice ;)) and waxes poetic about Jess and how she finds him to be one of the best characters of the show. Alexis worries about the initial portrayal of Liz, who is a beloved character down the line, while Suzanne is also worried about Lorelai's insistence on being involved in Luke's new parenting. This episode may be a little long, but there was no way we could keep it short with such an arrival!

This week, Alexis and Suzanne cover Season 2 Episode 4, "Road Trip to Harvard." While Jess still hasn't made an appearance, and that is disappointing, both agree that this is a great episode. Suzanne even marvels at the evidence that Emily has been listening to Lorelai, although Alexis really ponders who told Max that the wedding was off. After an enjoyable, although temporally implausible and logistically fantastical, exploration of Harvard, Suzanne and Alexis are both ready for Lorelai and Sookie to get going on the legendary Dragonfly Inn. And for Jess to arrive.

This week, Alexis and Suzanne cover Season 2 Episode 3, "Red Light on the Wedding Night." They are both, once again, confused over the continuity of the timeline, but ultimately agree that perhaps the wedding between Lorelai and Max was planned a bit too soon. Suzanne is once again a Taylor stan, regardless of how petty he might be. And Alexis revels in the Stars Hollowy-ness of the single traffic light and its ceremonious christening. Meanwhile, things go badly for Lorelai and Max, and ultimately, Alexis and Suzanne agree that their marriage would not have been great. Suzanne also, once again, wrongly predicts when Jess will appear.

This week, Alexis and Suzanne cover Season 2 Episode 2, "Hammers and Veils." They are both surprised and a bit worried that Rory has chosen to help build a house... People will have to live there some day. Suzanne is irritated by the unattainable expectations that college admissions put on students, which does nothing to promote learning as a pleasurable or worthwhile thing to do. Meanwhile, Alexis reveals that she spent her afternoons as a teenager on chat rooms while drinking cappuccinos (sus). All in all, they are both waiting for Jess to arrive, but especially Suzanne.

This week, Alexis and Suzanne are back with Season 2! They cover Season 2 Episode 1, "Sadie, Sadie . . ." and are once again tickled by the townspeople of Stars Hollow (that's a figure of speech, nothing weird happened here). Suzanne is reminded in a horrifying flashback of the strange accessory choices of teen boys in the early 2000's while Alexis is frustrated by the show's portrayal of Lane's Korean-American identity. In the end, both are bowled over by the power of Emily's facial expression of devastation, and are unanimously excited for the rest of the season.
