In this episode, our host Gaby Azorsky speaks with MJ Renshaw. MJ is an energy healer, medium, breathwork facilitator, and the founder of The Being Method. She left her career of being an Osteopath to chase after her dreams of blending science and spirituality into a course. MJ wanted everyone to know all the amazing overlaps that she had found between science and spirituality. MJ truly believes that everyone is here to live their authentic lives, and one of her biggest passions and goals is to inspire everyone to follow their dreams. 

I have been following along MJ’s journey for years, watching her family and her business blossom and bloom. I was excited to share in conversation with her to talk about love, money, family, God, breath, and gratitude…which we talk about all today.

I’m so excited to tell you about Root to Crown, an 8 week live course and foundational evolution of our three energy centers - Root, Heart, and Crown - with myself, Gaby Azorsky, and guest experts.

In this episode, our host Gaby Azorsky speaks with Tonya Papanikolov. Tonya is the Founder of Rainbo — Rainbo is a space for optimizing your mind, body and spirit with fungi. Offering potent and high quality adaptogenic mushrooms to bring radical health and harmony to people and the planet — a Holistic Nutritionist and Educator, Kundalini Yoga Teacher, and is currently a MS Mind-Body Medicine student. As I mention in our episode, I first found her years ago through her blog and holistic nutrition sharing, The Well Woman. I remember loving her recipes and seeing how she looked at the world, and how soft and foresty her imagery was. 

Over the years through the inter-webs we have connected, and now we are both in the Los Angeles area. Which is so lovely! 

In our conversation today, we talk about water, the pineal gland, kundalini yoga, science and spirituality, her path and her origins, curiosity, starting her company Rainbo, creativity, collaboration, human design, mushrooms, and sensitivity.

In this episode, our host Gaby Azorsky shares her reflections on season 1 of Spiral Deeper: The messages that myself and my guests have received throughout this season have been so touching. I can and can’t believe that there are so many of you who are here for these conversations. Thank you. With all of my previous projects, I never created an intentional pause. I kept creating with my internal generator nature, until I didn’t want to anymore. From the beginning, I have planned to take a break between seasons. To have space for new inspiration to compost and sprout. So this is where I leave you, we will be back for Season 2 on July 11. In this episode, our host Gaby Azorsky speaks with Camille Edwards. Camille is a Harvard Lawyer and Earth Ceremonalist. When Camille graduated from Harvard Law School three years ago, she became acutely aware of how out of alignment our systems are, in large part because of how absent they are of the wisdom of heart. As a facilitator, Camille creates integrative experiences for people to explore what alignment, harmony, and joy look like in their lives, and how to activate their heart center. Camille facilitates both through one-on-one sessions and group ceremonies with the medicines of cacao, meditation, herbs, movement, and song.

As a full-time practicing lawyer representing musicians, artists, photographers, filmmakers, and writers, Camille has learned how to balance the sharpness of the mind with the softness of the heart. She is committed to weaving together her institutional knowledge with her earth medicine-based offerings. When she is not drafting and negotiating contracts, you can find her talking to plants, hiking with her cat in Topanga where she lives, or meditating by a fresh-water stream.

In our episode today, we talk about Camille’s path, cacao, heart medicine, beloved, love, justice, living out of time, and connecting with the plants. Her laughter is contagious <3

In this episode, our host Gaby Azorsky speaks with Lana Smithner Greenleaf. AND HOLY SHIT THIS EPISODE IS SO GOOD. Lana is the creator of Mourning Rituals, a place for somatic release sessions, death care services, and guided grief support & rituals. She is a certified somatic practitioner, death midwife, TRE® provider, green burial advocate, grief guide, meditation/movement/yoga teacher, ritual maker, and believes that melding healing modalities with art and storytelling is the way forward. 

Lana has a foundation as a multidisciplinary artist and is the director of a community service project that supports all forms of grieving and de-stigmatizes having a relationship with death called “Death, Me, Dying Tree”.
A quote from her website ~ “Recently I’ve begun re-membering mourning rituals that allow us to focus on the exhale, to look to the animals and waters of the world for movements that help to ripple and release our sadness and by doing so, metabolize our grief and pain into heartfelt lung-fuel to continue breathing in life.”

When I started brainstorming the topics I wanted to discuss on Spiral Deeper, grief was at the top of the list. Through the passing of my beloved grandparents, Shirley and Josef Sands, in 2020 and 2021, I experienced grief for the first time at age 24. I felt emotions that I had never felt before, and let myself crash into wave after wave of grief whenever it hit me. 

In our episode today, we flow through a vast depth of topics ~ her path to death and grief work, being in a dynamic of bullying, growing up, wanting to die and ending one’s life, the interconnection of grief and trauma, how we can support our loved ones through loss, we talk about my grandpa, laughing and crying, burials, and grieving WITH the Earth.
