90s Brows, Swiss Mountains, and Gratitude

Episode 16

jeudi 29 avril 2021Duration 56:41

Can you believe it is already about to be May, Stoners??? Tish cannot believe time has flown by so fast, but she’s excited to get back to planting and break out some of her favorite cute new summer shoes, although right now she’s stuck with an unwelcome accessory. That’s right people, Tish is in an orthopedic boot! She made it to the doctor and not only is her toe broken, but her whole foot is a little messed up, so for now she’s stuck rocking Prada on one foot and a boot on the other. Meanwhile, Brandi is ready to start planning some spa days for when Tish comes out to Nashville this summer and they both definitely need some brow shaping (although they’re not quite sure on the look to go for, thoughts Stoners?) Then, in this week’s Dear MT, Tish discusses how practicing gratitude and love helps her feel close to God while Brandi shares her favorite ways to connect with God in nature. Plus, the ladies start fantasizing about some great travel destinations once the world starts opening up and give some tips on a durable but beachy home remodel. Brandi’s got some new shows to talk about and Tish wonders if she could commit to a 12 cup coffee maker, even a super cute rose gold one. That’s all for this week! Don’t forget to get yourself a Sorry We’re Stoned mug if you haven’t yet! https://sorrywerestoned.myshopify.com/ Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

Alpacas, Martian Exploration, and a 4/20 Hang with Brittney Kelley

Episode 15

jeudi 22 avril 2021Duration 01:08:41

Happy belated 4/20, Stoners!! This week, Tish is getting extra high and Brandi is even considering making the switch over to weed herself (!) plus our girls are joined by their good friend, Tribe Kelley founder, partner to Florida Georgia Line’s Brian Kelley, and gigantic stoner, Brittney Kelley. But first, they tackle the tough questions in this week’s Dear MT, including what unusual pets they’d most like to have, how to discover your favorite strain of weed, and how to salvage an ancient, but comfortable office chair. Plus, Brandi shares her new favorite movie, which prompts a discussion on real-life Mars exploration and colonization, and which of the Cyrus kids might want to live off-planet. Then when Brittney joins the show, the trio talk meaning and authenticity in music and what makes the perfect video shoot. Meanwhile, Tish is starting to get freaked out by all the similarities between Brittney and BK and Tish and BR, are we *sure* Brittney isn’t a long-lost member of the Cyrus clan? Plus they celebrate weed and casual weddings and even make some plans for a long-overdue BK x BR meet-up. That’s all this week Stoners! Hope you’ve had a fun 4/20 with us, and check out our brand new SWS mugs on our merch store! sorrywerestoned.myshopify.com Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

Birthdays, Aging, Motherhood and A Chat with Giving Keys Founder Caitlin Crosby

Episode 14

jeudi 15 avril 2021Duration 57:16

Less than a month out from her birthday, a super stoned Tish is contemplating the nature of life: what if we didn’t have birthdays? Would we even age at all?? Brandi’s a bit more skeptical, but all she does know is that Tish seems to be aging backwards. Meanwhile, Tish is discussing a different kind of change as she starts to plan for what she’s calling Tish’s Trailer Transformation — and she’s got some great leads on amazing flooring. Plus, there’s a few new things to watch and listen to in this week’s Off-Limits and Tish discusses the benefits of taking a smoke break and her calling as a dancer (or a matchmaker?) in Dear MT. Then, the ladies are joined by their good friend, singer, songwriter, entrepreneur, and founder of the thriving accessories business, The Giving Keys, Caitlin Crosby. Caitlin and Brandi reminisce about when they first met over a decade ago and the very beginnings of The Giving Keys, plus the transformative encounters that led to Caitlin’s decision to dedicate the organization to kindness, strength, and fighting inequality by employing people experiencing homelessness. Caitlin also reflects on the trials of the past year and the drive and challenge of being a mother and a business owner. Caitlin discusses her books, especially her new book Every Word Matters, which was a truly healing process for her and has been inspiring readers all across the country. #ContentWithCaution, Vibrators, and Handbags with Edie Parker Founder Brett Heyman

Episode 13

jeudi 8 avril 2021Duration 01:06:36

This week, Brandi is enjoying the lovely weather in Nashville and spending tons of time outside, and also tons of time tracking her phone down every time it falls out of her pocket (thanks for nothing, Find My iPhone!) But Tish sees a new business opportunity to fill a need for consumers, whether it’s phone cases with geo-tracking, perfectly sized duvet covers, or non-plastic pour over coffee containers, she can’t stop the million dollar ideas!! And while Brandi isn’t quite as convinced, Tish isn’t letting anything bring her down today, not even after she broke her toe even *worse* than it was before. Tish is high on life (well, and some fantastic weed) and thrilled to have this week’s guest, Edie Parker’s Brett Heyman. Tish has been a huge fan of Brett’s work since the very start and since the launch of the cannabis accessory line, Flower By Edie Parker, she’s only fallen more in love with her products. Brett shares the beginning of the company and their iconic, artistic acrylic handbags and also talks about her decision to move into the cannabis space in a female-inclusive and focused way. Plus, she discusses the company’s ethos on cannabis, all about enjoyment and pleasure, and why she thinks sexual wellness may be the next frontier for cannabis products. Tish and Brett also talk about sexual education and discussion with their kids, and how sometimes Tish may get to know a little too much from the family’s super open lines of communication. Plus, we get a lovely story from a Stoner who is doing weddings right as far as Tish and Brandi are concerned! That’s all for this week, check out Edie Parker and Flower By Edie Parker, and don’t forget to check out their line of CBD sex products. Thanks, Stoners! Learn more about your ad choices. Exploring New Places, Wedding Extravaganzas, and Broken Toes

Episode 12

jeudi 1 avril 2021Duration 01:01:10

Tish has been having a wonderful week, practicing gratitude in the California sunshine — except for when she broke her toe!! Ok, so it may not be X-ray certified but all Tish knows is she tripped over some stairs and now her whole entire foot is black and blue and it is not pleasant. But other than that, she’s great! Meanwhile, Nashville has been seeing some of the worst flooding in recent years but Brandi is so grateful that only a small portion of her land was effected and all of the animals are safe in the barn (even if some of them are too dumb to find their own hay). The ladies also take a moment to discuss relationships after a friend was broken up with over the phone (guys, do better!!) and Brandi muses on ‘wedding season’ etiquette while Tish just can’t understand why anyone would want to draw a wedding out over 6 months. Brandi also has a delicious new munchie moment to shout out, courtesy of the one and only Dolly Parton, and they’ve got some new shows to recommend. Plus, Tish and Brandi discuss favorite Kasey Musgrave songs, moving out of state, finding motivation, and ignoring the trolls in this week’s Dear MT. See you next time Stoners! Moving In Together, Imaginary Mugs, and a Palm Springs Brunch Adventure

Episode 11

jeudi 25 mars 2021Duration 48:10

Tish and Brandi have just returned from a lovely weekend in the desert, where they attended horse shows, did some killer shopping, and enjoyed a fabulous brunch tour. Now they’re back, Tish is trying out some new weed (and she’s very stoned) and Brandi is trying to explain what a Patreon is again. The ladies share what they watched and listened to on their road trip and discuss a fabulous new Munchie Moment idea, and Tish is ready to become lead designer on a new La Quinta Resort renovation (call us!) Also, Tish and Brandi give out some High Design tips on choosing an accent wall and explore the SWS facebook group for some travel inspo. Then they get deep for a minute as they discuss making room for your partner in a relationship, the importance of boundaries, and the potential for change and growth within a person. That’s all this week Stoners, don’t forget to call in with your questions and leave a five star review, see you next time! Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

Essential Oils for Dogs, Bachelor Heartbreak, and a Socially Distanced Grammys

Episode 10

jeudi 18 mars 2021Duration 54:32

This week Brandi is coming to us from Tish’s house in LA! Which by the way, looks entirely different from the last time she was here (floors make a *huge* difference in a room, people) and Tish is embracing a new, cleaner, semi-modern aesthetic. Tish also takes the opportunity to wax poetic on her love for Cali and both Tish and Brandi are super excited for the little staycation they have planned this week! But first, we have got to talk about the Grammys and The Dress. A lot of our Stoners thought Tish and Noah looked so stunning on the Grammys red carpet (even though Tish was freezing her butt off in the new outdoor set-up) and Noah’s Schiaparelli gown was the statement piece of the night. And although there were definitely some memes, young Nicki made a great impact with her show-stopping look, and that is Fashion, baby. As always, Tish and Brandi answer some of your questions in this week’s Dear MT, including thoughts on an age-gap in relationships, Cyrus family stories, and the key to wearing white and they discuss the explosive Bachelor finale episode — and let’s just say Tish is no longer Matt’s biggest fan after he left poor Michelle in the dust like that. That’s all for this week, don’t forget to subscribe and leave us a 5 star review and we’ll see you next time Stoners! Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices
