90s Brows, Swiss Mountains, and Gratitude29 Apr 202100:56:41
Can you believe it is already about to be May, Stoners??? Tish cannot believe time has flown by so fast, but she’s excited to get back to planting and break out some of her favorite cute new summer shoes, although right now she’s stuck with an unwelcome accessory. That’s right people, Tish is in an orthopedic boot! She made it to the doctor and not only is her toe broken, but her whole foot is a little messed up, so for now she’s stuck rocking Prada on one foot and a boot on the other. Meanwhile, Brandi is ready to start planning some spa days for when Tish comes out to Nashville this summer and they both definitely need some brow shaping (although they’re not quite sure on the look to go for, thoughts Stoners?) Then, in this week’s Dear MT, Tish discusses how practicing gratitude and love helps her feel close to God while Brandi shares her favorite ways to connect with God in nature. Plus, the ladies start fantasizing about some great travel destinations once the world starts opening up and give some tips on a durable but beachy home remodel. Brandi’s got some new shows to talk about and Tish wonders if she could commit to a 12 cup coffee maker, even a super cute rose gold one. That’s all for this week! Don’t forget to get yourself a Sorry We’re Stoned mug if you haven’t yet! https://sorrywerestoned.myshopify.com/ Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices
Alpacas, Martian Exploration, and a 4/20 Hang with Brittney Kelley22 Apr 202101:08:41
Happy belated 4/20, Stoners!! This week, Tish is getting extra high and Brandi is even considering making the switch over to weed herself (!) plus our girls are joined by their good friend, Tribe Kelley founder, partner to Florida Georgia Line’s Brian Kelley, and gigantic stoner, Brittney Kelley. But first, they tackle the tough questions in this week’s Dear MT, including what unusual pets they’d most like to have, how to discover your favorite strain of weed, and how to salvage an ancient, but comfortable office chair. Plus, Brandi shares her new favorite movie, which prompts a discussion on real-life Mars exploration and colonization, and which of the Cyrus kids might want to live off-planet. Then when Brittney joins the show, the trio talk meaning and authenticity in music and what makes the perfect video shoot. Meanwhile, Tish is starting to get freaked out by all the similarities between Brittney and BK and Tish and BR, are we *sure* Brittney isn’t a long-lost member of the Cyrus clan? Plus they celebrate weed and casual weddings and even make some plans for a long-overdue BK x BR meet-up. That’s all this week Stoners! Hope you’ve had a fun 4/20 with us, and check out our brand new SWS mugs on our merch store! sorrywerestoned.myshopify.com Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices
Birthdays, Aging, Motherhood and A Chat with Giving Keys Founder Caitlin Crosby15 Apr 202100:57:16
Less than a month out from her birthday, a super stoned Tish is contemplating the nature of life: what if we didn’t have birthdays? Would we even age at all?? Brandi’s a bit more skeptical, but all she does know is that Tish seems to be aging backwards. Meanwhile, Tish is discussing a different kind of change as she starts to plan for what she’s calling Tish’s Trailer Transformation — and she’s got some great leads on amazing flooring. Plus, there’s a few new things to watch and listen to in this week’s Off-Limits and Tish discusses the benefits of taking a smoke break and her calling as a dancer (or a matchmaker?) in Dear MT. Then, the ladies are joined by their good friend, singer, songwriter, entrepreneur, and founder of the thriving accessories business, The Giving Keys, Caitlin Crosby. Caitlin and Brandi reminisce about when they first met over a decade ago and the very beginnings of The Giving Keys, plus the transformative encounters that led to Caitlin’s decision to dedicate the organization to kindness, strength, and fighting inequality by employing people experiencing homelessness. Caitlin also reflects on the trials of the past year and the drive and challenge of being a mother and a business owner. Caitlin discusses her books, especially her new book Every Word Matters, which was a truly healing process for her and has been inspiring readers all across the country. #ContentWithCaution, Vibrators, and Handbags with Edie Parker Founder Brett Heyman08 Apr 202101:06:36
This week, Brandi is enjoying the lovely weather in Nashville and spending tons of time outside, and also tons of time tracking her phone down every time it falls out of her pocket (thanks for nothing, Find My iPhone!) But Tish sees a new business opportunity to fill a need for consumers, whether it’s phone cases with geo-tracking, perfectly sized duvet covers, or non-plastic pour over coffee containers, she can’t stop the million dollar ideas!! And while Brandi isn’t quite as convinced, Tish isn’t letting anything bring her down today, not even after she broke her toe even *worse* than it was before. Tish is high on life (well, and some fantastic weed) and thrilled to have this week’s guest, Edie Parker’s Brett Heyman. Tish has been a huge fan of Brett’s work since the very start and since the launch of the cannabis accessory line, Flower By Edie Parker, she’s only fallen more in love with her products. Brett shares the beginning of the company and their iconic, artistic acrylic handbags and also talks about her decision to move into the cannabis space in a female-inclusive and focused way. Plus, she discusses the company’s ethos on cannabis, all about enjoyment and pleasure, and why she thinks sexual wellness may be the next frontier for cannabis products. Tish and Brett also talk about sexual education and discussion with their kids, and how sometimes Tish may get to know a little too much from the family’s super open lines of communication. Plus, we get a lovely story from a Stoner who is doing weddings right as far as Tish and Brandi are concerned! That’s all for this week, check out Edie Parker and Flower By Edie Parker, and don’t forget to check out their line of CBD sex products. Thanks, Stoners! Learn more about your ad choices. Exploring New Places, Wedding Extravaganzas, and Broken Toes01 Apr 202101:01:10
Tish has been having a wonderful week, practicing gratitude in the California sunshine — except for when she broke her toe!! Ok, so it may not be X-ray certified but all Tish knows is she tripped over some stairs and now her whole entire foot is black and blue and it is not pleasant. But other than that, she’s great! Meanwhile, Nashville has been seeing some of the worst flooding in recent years but Brandi is so grateful that only a small portion of her land was effected and all of the animals are safe in the barn (even if some of them are too dumb to find their own hay). The ladies also take a moment to discuss relationships after a friend was broken up with over the phone (guys, do better!!) and Brandi muses on ‘wedding season’ etiquette while Tish just can’t understand why anyone would want to draw a wedding out over 6 months. Brandi also has a delicious new munchie moment to shout out, courtesy of the one and only Dolly Parton, and they’ve got some new shows to recommend. Plus, Tish and Brandi discuss favorite Kasey Musgrave songs, moving out of state, finding motivation, and ignoring the trolls in this week’s Dear MT. See you next time Stoners! Moving In Together, Imaginary Mugs, and a Palm Springs Brunch Adventure25 Mar 202100:48:10
Tish and Brandi have just returned from a lovely weekend in the desert, where they attended horse shows, did some killer shopping, and enjoyed a fabulous brunch tour. Now they’re back, Tish is trying out some new weed (and she’s very stoned) and Brandi is trying to explain what a Patreon is again. The ladies share what they watched and listened to on their road trip and discuss a fabulous new Munchie Moment idea, and Tish is ready to become lead designer on a new La Quinta Resort renovation (call us!) Also, Tish and Brandi give out some High Design tips on choosing an accent wall and explore the SWS facebook group for some travel inspo. Then they get deep for a minute as they discuss making room for your partner in a relationship, the importance of boundaries, and the potential for change and growth within a person. That’s all this week Stoners, don’t forget to call in with your questions and leave a five star review, see you next time! Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices
Essential Oils for Dogs, Bachelor Heartbreak, and a Socially Distanced Grammys18 Mar 202100:54:32
This week Brandi is coming to us from Tish’s house in LA! Which by the way, looks entirely different from the last time she was here (floors make a *huge* difference in a room, people) and Tish is embracing a new, cleaner, semi-modern aesthetic. Tish also takes the opportunity to wax poetic on her love for Cali and both Tish and Brandi are super excited for the little staycation they have planned this week! But first, we have got to talk about the Grammys and The Dress. A lot of our Stoners thought Tish and Noah looked so stunning on the Grammys red carpet (even though Tish was freezing her butt off in the new outdoor set-up) and Noah’s Schiaparelli gown was the statement piece of the night. And although there were definitely some memes, young Nicki made a great impact with her show-stopping look, and that is Fashion, baby. As always, Tish and Brandi answer some of your questions in this week’s Dear MT, including thoughts on an age-gap in relationships, Cyrus family stories, and the key to wearing white and they discuss the explosive Bachelor finale episode — and let’s just say Tish is no longer Matt’s biggest fan after he left poor Michelle in the dust like that. That’s all for this week, don’t forget to subscribe and leave us a 5 star review and we’ll see you next time Stoners! Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices
Velvet Throw Pillows, Leaf Blowers, and Prioritizing Yourself11 Mar 202100:48:46
This week, Tish and Brandi are excited to catch up and dig deep into some Dear MTs, and they aren’t about to let some unexpected leaf-blowing ruin their fun!! They discuss the latest on the Bachelor and make their final predictions for the finale next week, and Tish is still deep into her Nashville obsession — and if you’re looking for other feel-good shows that don’t revolve around murder, they’ve got a ton of recommendations for you, starting with the classic, Friday Night Lights. Plus, Tish has some high design tips about spicing up any room with some new throw pillows, playing with wood tones and wallpapers, and she’s ready for velvet to make its comeback. Brandi and Tish also give some great relationship advice in this week’s Dear MT, discussing keeping quality friendships, feeling your best even when you’re on your own and avoiding over-romanticizing the idea of someone. And Brandi defends her life motto, keep your expectations relatively low and always be pleasantly surprised! See you all next week when Brandi and Tish are coming to you post-Grammys (and post-Bachelor finale) from LA! Weed Carts, Social Equity in Cannabis and Entrepreneurship with Hope Wiseman04 Mar 202101:03:52
This week, Brandi’s joining us from Gulf Port with a minor health concern — any Stoners out there in the medical field have any insight on the mysterious appearing Cyrus ‘bebe pellets’?? Brandi is freaked, but Tish is unconcerned, she’s had hers for 30 years and she’s fine! Plus, Tish is ready to dive in with some High Design tips, including the beautiful new weed cart she’s just found for herself and some of the best brands in Target for interior decor. Then, on this week’s Dear MT, Tish and Brandi get real and share some relationship advice about communication and having empathy for your partner and their unique viewpoint. They also throw out some suggestions of names for furry friends and debate who they think is going to come out as the winner of the Bachelor. And we’re joined by the brilliant Hope Wiseman, who became the youngest black woman to own a dispensary in the United States with the opening of Mary & Main in 2017. She joins Tish and Brandi to discuss legalization, criminal justice reform, medical, scientific, and economic benefits of cannabis and her own personal journey to entrepreneurship, including her college experience and inspiration from her mother, and advice for other young people out there who want to follow their dreams. That’s all for this one guys, don’t forget to leave us a 5 star review, and we’ll see you next time! Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices
Snow Storms, Growing Weed, and the Future of Marijuana with Josh Haupt25 Feb 202101:04:05
Well Stoners, this week, Tish is starting the party on her own! That’s right, Brandi is late, but we suppose we can forgive her since she’s been iced in her house for days and having to trek out to the barn to take care of the all the animals in the ice cold. Seriously, Tish really got out of Nashville just in time, but she’s gotten turned onto the CMT show ‘Nashville’ about 10 years too late and now she’s obsessed. Also, we hear about some alternate Cyrus baby names, national park hiking tips, guilty pleasures, and more in this week’s Dear MT before we’re joined by our guest. Called ‘The Steve Jobs of Weed’ Josh Haupt is an innovator and entrepreneur who’s worked in cannabis for years, ever since he began using it medically to help treat his epilepsy as a teenager. He’s completely redefined the limits of growing, famous for his ‘three pounds a light’ techniques and started and sold several companies, and Tish and Brandi are seriously in love with the new line of CBD beauty products from him and his wife, Plant Love Naturals. Josh gives us some great business and life advice and teaches us all about the ins and outs of the cannabis industry, and he’s inviting Tish and Brandi out for a tour of his warehouses when it’s safe. That’s all for this week, check out Josh on social media and get yourself some Plant Love Naturals! Don’t forget to leave us a 5 star review and call in to leave your questions for Dear MT. Wells is also dishing out some advice and BTS secrets in this week’s Dear MT discussing everything from surviving long Bachelorette nights and communicating as a good partner to dog potty training and his favorite Cyrus sibling (which just may surprise you). The group also gets serious as they talk about the invasions of privacy, safety, and decency shown in the new Britney doc, and their own experiences with paparazzi. The Super Bowl, Social Media, and Finding Yourself with special guest Ben Higgins11 Feb 202101:06:18
Tish and Brandi are no longer in Nashville together, but they had an absolute blast this weekend, getting to experience the first live music show of 2021 with Miley performing for vaccinated healthcare workers at the Super Bowl! With Tish settling back in L.A, she’s spending a lot of time texting BR and she can’t wait for this week’s visit from good friend Ben Higgins. Together, the trio reflect on some of the ups and downs of notoriety and discuss the ongoing process of finding and shaping one’s identity.
