Designing Your Ideal Workday

Season 1 · Episode 475

dimanche 4 septembre 2022Duration 16:17

Welcome to Sunday's Solo Episode #475.   During this episode,I talk about how to design your ideal workday. This is NOT your dream retirement plan Richard Branson-style, sitting in your hammock after a game of tennis in your private island. This is based on reality... It's meant to be achievable where you can position yourself in the future, many years forward. Here are some highlights:
  • Always start your day with a positive mindset.
  • Don't just write your tasks. Visualise them. The more detailed and specific you are, the more successful you are in achieving your goals.
  • A plan is just a plan without any action. Visualising is the easy part. Actually doing the tasks is another thing.

Building Your Content Strategy

Season 1 · Episode 473

dimanche 28 août 2022Duration 20:10

Welcome to Sunday's Solo Episode #473.   During this episode, I talk about how you can build your entire week's worth of content from just one piece of 'pillar' content and map our your entire week's social media posts.   Your pillar content could be taken from a podcast interview or a blog you've posted on your website, or a talk at an event, a vlog that you've posted on YouTube. And all your week's content will be taken from just this one piece of content.   As an example, I take my weekly Q&A podcast episode and repurpose that into something like 7-10 pieces of micro-content to be posted across all my social media platforms.   Would you like to know how you can do this with your business?   Sponsored by Whole Supp. Shake up your nutrition and improve your gut health, immunity, recovery and energy with a complete, sustainable, plant-based nutrition. The One Thing

Season 1 · Episode 471

dimanche 21 août 2022Duration 12:14

Welcome to Episode #471.   During this episode, I talk about the one thing that stands between you and your goals. No matter how success is measured, only the ability to dismiss distractions and concentrate on your one thing stands between you and your goals. That one thing is about getting extraordinary results in every situation. Having just re-read the awesome book 'The One Thing' by Gary Keller and Jay Papasan for the nth time, I thought it's about time to share it and my thoughts with you. Here are some highlights:
  • The secret of getting ahead is getting started. The secret to getting started is breaking your complex, overwhelming tasks into small, manageable tasks.
  • Don't put all your eggs in one basket is all wrong. I tell you put all your eggs in one basket and then watch that basket intently.
  • Focus on one thing and the narrower that focus is, the better. That's the one thing.

Learning to Express Yourself & Be Heard with David Drebin

Season 1 · Episode 468

mercredi 10 août 2022Duration 30:31

Welcome to Episode #468 with David Drebin, a world renowned photographer, artist and author.   During this episode, we talk about his passion for arts and photography and how he sees life through his camera. Here are some highlights:
  • It's important to build yourself and everything else will come. Have a lot of passion for what you do. But also have a sense of detachment. It's important to have that duality of passion and detachment.
  • It's NOT about people who don't believe in you. It's all about people who you don't believe in. Reverse it. Instead of looking for people to believe in you, find people that you believe in.
  • 99% of success and happiness depends on sleep, exercise, and hydration.
  • Relationships are like plants. If you stop watering them, they die in the end. It's so simple.
  • Social media is also a way to scale your brand instead of waiting for other people to promote you. Promote yourself in a clever way and build an audience. Provide value. Entertain or educate people.
  • For social media, it's important to post a lot, but reveal very little about yourself.
  • If you're looking for feedback from other people, you're relying on external gratification and that is dangerous. All gratification has to come internally.
  • The biggest battle is actually with yourself. It comes down to self acceptance or rejection.

Success Habits, Rituals and Routines

Season 1 · Episode 467

dimanche 7 août 2022Duration 18:16

Welcome to Sunday's Solo Episode #467.   During this episode, we talk about my very own success habits, rituals and routines. A lot of these have some commonalities to all these successful entrepreneurs that I've interviewed for the show. What I do is I take one thing away from each interview and try to implement it in my life. I hope this adds some value and improves your business and personal life. Here are some highlights:
  • Always start and end your day from a place of gratitude.
  • Focus on how you want to run your day. Visualise what you want to accomplish. Think about your end goal.
  • Break down your goal into 3 things you can accomplish for the day.
  • At the end of the day, it's important to review things and reflect back.
  • If you don't schedule it, then it doesn't happen.
  • If you bring your passion and have a positive mindset, you won't fail.
