Sac Kings Therapy – Details, episodes & analysis

Last we left off, Team 7 and Kabuto found themselves trapped in a genjutsu. The casters reveal themselves to be part of Rain village and they do battle to fight each other's scroll so they may advance to the next phase of the exam.

Team 7 and Kabuto ultimately come out on top and they enter the tower to qualify for phase 3. But, because so many genin made it to the tower, preliminary matches have to be held to narrow down the pool of participants to include only the very best.

And so it begins, the first 2 matches are Sasuke vs Hiroi and Shino vs Zaku. Both matches are filled to the brim with intrigue and it begins a phase in the show where it begins to build the many characters in the series, giving the show life.

A slow week in the NBA but a big one in wrestling as it is AEW's annual All In event. The show had many spectacular matches and Owen and Fong try to go through all of them.

The Kings have had a rough stretch between the California Classic and Las Vegas Summer League. They failed to win the Mitch Richmond trophy and then got blasted by the Grizzlies in their opening game in Summer League. Do any of these things matter in the long run, who knows? But they've been a tough watch these last few games. But so is NBA basketball in the summer.

Meanwhile, Team USA had a good showing. Despite getting off to a slow start against Canada, they absolutely overwhelmed their opponents once they got going and showed that if they play to their capabilities, no team will be able to match them.

In a rather shocking move, Jalen Brunson signs a 4 year $156.5 million extension with the Knicks. This is shocking because he could've have waited until next season for a much bigger payday. Owen and Fong discuss the effects this could have and what it means for the Knicks and the NBA as a whole.

The Kings came home to the Sacramento and welcomed the Warrior to the G1C for their 1st home game of the season. And ... they were treated to another brilliant performance by Steph Curry who dropped 41 on their head, and beating the Kings 122-114. While many will point to the Kings defense being the main culprit of this, and make no mistake, it wasn't good by any means, it was their offense that abandoned them in the 3rd quarter that allowed the Warriors to blow the game open.

The Kings just kept missing shots and the Warriors looked like they couldn't miss. The Kings made a late surge in the latter half of the 4th quarter but had their hopes crushed by none other than Steph.

The Kings have a lot to figure out, and while it's unfortunate that the Kings will not be going 82-0 this season, they have a good foundation to build on and they can only get better from here.

The Kings start off the season strong by beating the Jazz pretty handily in Utah. The King's offense ran at a breakneck speed, combined with their physicality on defense seemingly took the Jazz by surprise. The Kings led pretty much all game as the Jazz couldn't keep up with Kings on offense nor could they match their intensity on defense.

The Kings came in ready to roll, the Jazz were not, plain and simple.

Harrison Barnes was the MVP of the game with 27 points in the 1st half with 10-11 FG and 5-5 from 3. He gave the Kings a cushion which they would never relinquish.

The Kings will now return to Sacramento to face the team that knocked them out of the playoffs in Game 7 in the G1C. Should be a fun one.

To prepare for the season, Owen asks Fong some questions about the Kings this upcoming season as well as make some predictions. They then move on to some extension that were signed today and then end by discussing Baxter Holmes article on basically the rise and fall of Ja Morant.

The Kings played 2 thrillers in their back to back games against the Warriors and Jazz. Well, as thrilling as you can get in a preseason game. Both games came down to the wire, with the Kings losing to a Steph Curry game winning 3, and then pulling out a tight one against the Jazz with much of their starting lineup out.

The Kings end the preseason 1-4, not great by any means, but are there things we should be concerned about? Maybe. Even with a decent sample size, we've just come to the conclusion that we just don't know how the Kings will play until the regular season, and that's ok.

Good news: the regular season will be upon us shortly and we can actually have legitimate things to be thrilled about and be sad about!

The Kings can't seem to buy a win in the preseason, so here comes the obligatory question: Is this a cause for concern for the Kings in the regular season? And still the answer is maybe, maybe not. There are definitely unsettling things to take away from this game but also some silver linings. The Kings still have 2 more preseason games left, let's see if they can pick up a win before the start of the regular season.

In NFL news, the Niners lose their first game of the season by falling to the Cleveland Browns. The Niners unfortunately picked up a few injuries in the game but hopefully they're not long term injuries that will plague the team down the line.

The Kings returned to the states to take on the Lakers in Anaheim on Wednesday night in another losing effort. Similar issues plagued the Kings this game, poor defense and not being able to make shots. An interesting strategy if you wanna win games. Is this just the malaise that comes with getting back into game shape or are these a precursor to more serious issues down the line?

Time will tell if the Kings are be able to improve enough on both sides of the ball before the start of the regular season.

Well, the Kings finally play basketball again as they take on the Toronto Raptors in Vancouver. It started out beautifully for the Kings, they were playing the physical defense Mike Brown kept raving about on media day, and their historically great offense looked even better with a few wrinkles added in. Then the Kings started missing shots and their defense fell apart and the Raptors blew the game open and never relinquished control of the game.

It wasn't the result some Kings fan would've liked, but this is preseason basketball and it's only a glimpse of what the Kings can be. The Kings did show some great flashes of what they could be, and showed so things that may be concerning down the line. Ultimately, it's the first game of preseason and even then there needs to be a bigger sample before we can determine what the Kings will be.

On the Football side, the 49ers absolutely laid the smackdown on the Dallas Cowboys on route to becoming 5-0 on the season. Brock Purdy is proving himself to be a top quarterback and the Niners look they're going to be Super Bowl bound come February.
