This week, I'm joined by Tricia Murray who is a Mind Coach and Business Mentor.  Tricia can help you take control of your life or business and transform internal chaos and clutter into self-belief, confidence, and complete clarity.  She’s a mum to 4 boys and lives near Edinburgh.

  • Feeling fulfilled by other things in life that aren't linked to motherhood and how it gives us a sense of identity and purpose
  • Limiting our own external and internal pressures by giving ourselves permission to opt out of things when we're feeling depleted or can't fit them in
  • Delegating tasks to our partners or other family members and letting go of the control and sense of responsibility associated with these tasks

What is abundance and how can we harness its power to unlock our potential and achieve our goals and dreams? In this week's solo episode, I'm exploring the topic of abundance, which I tap into to help me navigate my life and attract the things that I want to manifest. I also explain how an abundant mindset is different from a scarcity mindset and why living in this state can be detrimental to reaching our goals.

Advocating for your needs as a mum

Season 5 · Episode 49

mardi 12 décembre 2023Duration 13:47

A solo episode from me today on a topic that I’ve been ruminating over a lot recently and processing and that’s all about advocating for our needs as mums.  It’s something that we’ve touched on in a couple of guest episodes in this season and I wanted to share some tools and reframes about how we can confidently and effectively communicate our needs.

Being a fire starter mum with Gosia Scarrott

Season 5 · Episode 49

lundi 4 décembre 2023Duration 50:12

This week, I am joined by the awesome host of the Fire Starter Mum podcast, Gosia Scarrott.  I love the term "Fire Starter Mum" and I enjoyed exploring this idea of what one looks and feels like in today's society and how as mums we can advocate for our needs confidently and unapologetically. Gosia has such a warm and nurturing energy and I hope that you enjoy this enlightening and empowering conversation.

Gardening for mindfulness with Kendall Platt

Season 5 · Episode 48

mercredi 22 novembre 2023Duration 51:54

I have another fantastic guest episode this week as I'm joined by Kendall Platt, The Mindful Gardening Coach.

She helps women take time out of their busy lives to quieten their minds whilst creating a garden that sets their hearts on fire and creating with the flowers that they grow.   She is the founder of The Mindful Gardening Club the UK’s only online gardening and floristry for wellbeing course and community for women who want to take their garden from bland to brightly coloured and feel fabulous as they do it! Designed to give you a simple month by month plan to get you gardening for your wellbeing without adding to the mental load.

I absolutely loved this conversation and I think you'll agree with me that Kendall's passion oozes through her words and her energy.  I often have her voice in my head telling me to get out in the garden and reap it's magical benefits, which she talks passionately about in this episode.

Key areas to focus on to break free from survival mode

Season 5 · Episode 47

samedi 18 novembre 2023Duration 09:17

Working out how to break free from survival mode is a bit like trying to solve a tricky jigsaw puzzle, right? I see it all the time. Mums struggling and feeling overwhelmed by life and motherhood, not sure which direction to turn. Do you relate?

The one BIG thing that I see with mums who are overwhelmed, feel disconnected from themselves, and trying to make a shift in their lives is that they are missing the foundational pillars to make it happen.

This means, that despite your incredible efforts to make changes, the jigsaw isn’t coming together with ease.

In this week's podcast episode, I'm sharing the key foundational areas that I focus on with my 1:1 coaching clients to shift them from surviving to thriving.

Maintaining your connection to self with Jenna Folarin

Season 5 · Episode 46

dimanche 12 novembre 2023Duration 38:22

After a little break, I'm back with season 5 of the Reclaiming MUM podcast.  I've got some incredible guests lined up for this season as well as some solo episodes.

I'm kick-starting the new season with the wonderful Jenna Folarin, who is also a coach for mums and has 3 children herself.

Jenna is on a mission to help as many mums as possible to feel happier and to live a life that feels good to them. Jenna loves supporting mums who have unspoken dreams inside of them and who are desperate to bring them to life, but their lack of self-belief holds them back.

I can't thank Jenna enough for how open and honest she was about sharing her motherhood journey.  We covered a lot, especially focusing on how to stay connected to your identity as a mum and the importance of finding time for yourself.

We dive into:

  • Jenna's inspiring journey that led her to start working specifically with mums
  • How Jenna consciously works on herself so she maintains a deep connection to self outside of motherhood and why that's important
  • How not showing up authentically has impacted certain experiences in her motherhood journey
  • How showing up as her true self has had a positive impact on her motherhood and business journey
  • The power of finding connections with others who share similar experiences to support your mental wellbeing
  • Doing what's right for your family rather than following the insta-crowd
  • Top tips for how mums can remain connected to their identity beyond motherhood

You can book Jenna's mini-retreat for mums here.

Also, I was a guest on The Inspiring Mum's podcast hosted by Jenna, which you can listen to here.
