This week we resume our coverage of the Frost & Fire V Festival held in Ventura, California in October 2025. We pick up the narrative with coverage of killer performances by Blood Star, Haunt and Blade Killer. For each band, the Night Demon guys offer context and history of their relationship with the band and why it was important for them to perform at this festival. We also give you audio clips of both studio and live recordings from each band, plus overall impressions of how they went over and what they brought to the Fest.

This week we continue our coverage of the historic Frost & Fire V Festival held in Ventura, California in October 2025. We begin by exploring why Bombay Bar & Grill is the perfect - the only - venue for this festival. It's not only Night Demon's history with the place, but also the physical layout and the relationships with ownership.  Then the band and crew talk about logistics, gear, and issues / challenges to devise suitable lighting solutions. The lineup for Day 1 was meant to commence with Saber; however, the band broke up shortly before the festival, so San Diego's Wally World came on to replace them, to decidedly inauspicious results.

This week we conclude our 10-year anniversary retrospective on Night Demon's Curse of the Damned track by track, by exploring the album closer, 'Save Me Now." Although this track was covered in depth in Episodes 202-203, we revisit it now and expose new nooks and crannies, details that have never before surfaced.  Among other nuggets, you will learn how "Save Me Now" got Dusty the gig as Night Demon drummer, why Jarvis is so proud of it from a writing perspective, how the keyboard / organ sections came to be and when they were reproduced live, how it has the longest pick slide in the history of recorded music, why the track eventually faded from the live set, and why it's a tricky song to nail live, In many ways, "Save Me Now" is a "hit song" that wasn't, and the band are very fond of it.

This week we bring you all the highlights of 2023 in a massive 100-minute year in review episode.  We will take you through the initial announcement of the Outsider album, the song-specific episodes, the sadness of Dusty's departure followed by the triumph of Brian's arrival, and glorious moments from the road, including the Hell's Decibels Tour of the USA plus tour stops in Japan, Ireland, Newfoundland, the European headliner tour, and so much more. Late in the year were two killer episodes about the band's covers of "Axe Crazy" and "Road Racin'".  Interspersed throughout are reflections on the year from the band members, Laura, Nesbit and Kit. In this week's episode, we continue chronicling Night Demon's September 2023 European headlining tour.  The narrative picks up with a late night, post-gig drive through the German countryside en route to Munich for a Monday night show at the Backstage venue.  You will hear about the band's sweltering performance in a packed house, and the pitfalls of government-imposed sound decibel limiters and woefully substandard band apartments.  From there the tour rolled on to the Escape Metal Corner in Vienna, where a tiny stage in a cramped, hot venue created logistical challenges for band and crew alike. The guys explain the importance of delivering the best show possible no matter the conditions. A freak injury bloodied a band member. Yet the tour continued to Salzburg for a killer show in a cave built into the side of a mountain as the oppressive heat wave finally abated. A rare sightseeing opportunity presented itself the following morning.

This week we continue following Night Demon through their September 2023 European tour, including a headlining gig at the Metal Mania Festival in Andernach and a matinee in Bad Oeynhausen.  You will hear the band's musings about how playing the full new album doesn't necessarily work at a headlining festival set, and how they may alter that strategy in 2024. The guys also talk about the struggles of a late-summer heatwave with no A/C and an open-air gig.  From Andernach, the Outsider tour rolls on to Bad Oeynhausen, where the guys explain why the venue, catering, amenities, and so on are ideal for a touring act.  You will find out about Armand's crowd-surfing adventure and the crew's harrowing encounter with a wolf spider. This week we resume the narrative of Night Demon's fall 2023 European tour.  After a disastrous beginning, the tour settled into a groove with a pair of stellar shows in Germany.  For the first time, the band sold out the Goldgrube venue in Kassel, where they debuted their main tour setlist, played a killer show, and enjoyed a fine Mediterranean meal afterwards.  The next day it was off to Essen to play a packed gig at the Turock, one of Night Demon's favorite venues.  They successfully tweaked the setlist a bit, laid down the law about partying responsibly, and then enjoyed a rare off-day with rest and schnitzel.

In fall 2023, Night Demon embarked on a European headliner tour in support of the Outsider album.  This episode chronicles the rocky start to that tour.  You will hear about a rainy, disorganized event in Oldenburg, Germany that kicked off the tour, followed by a pyrotechnical disaster in Berlin the following night.  Through all the adversity, the guys remained in high spirits and managed to keep the positive energy flowing.  Surely the tour could only go up from here, right?

One of Night Demon's most beloved covers ever is their version of the Riot classic "Road Racin'".  In this week's episode, the guys (with an assist from Riot bassist Donnie Van Stavern) break down the history of Riot, including the various eras of the band, Riot's underrated importance to the heavy metal genre, and how the members of Night Demon became acquainted with Riot.  You will hear the circumstances under which Night Demon added "Road Racin'" to their early live sets and their decision to record it as a bonus track during the Curse of the Damned sessions. Listen in to discover which Night Demon original was heavily influenced by "Road Racin'" and when and how the band performs this cover today.  Finally, Jarvis describes how Riot honors this contribution to their legacy when he is in the house.
