S1E13 - Aelai - "You can make the world with AI a better one 💛" - Futurise, an AI Podcast
Season 1 · Episode 13
dimanche 18 février 2024 • Duration 23:06
Kira Dammann and Ify Azike are the two female founders of aelai, an AI education and e-commerce company that aims to make it easier for civil society to engage with AI.
They believe that everyone needs to understand the capabilities, limitations and societal implications of AI to create a world where all of us benefit from it.
It has been their own journey and experience to be rather sceptical about AI and its impact on our society, but by educating themselves and building a network of AI researchers and data scientists, they now have a more realistic understanding of AI and are excited to shape our world with it.
But they were not alone in their fear.
Only 15% of Germans believe that AI could have a positive impact on our world within the next 10 years (Fox et al., 2023).
aelai wants to change their perception by
- publishing simple, fun and scientist-approved content on social media (Instagram @aelai.io)
- selling Statement-Products on www.aelai.io
- delivery of workshops in schools and SMEs in Germany
aelai's Statement-Products are like Merch. Through them, you can show that you care about responsible AI and raise awareness about one of the most important topics of our time.
For every product sold, aelai donate €1 to organizations working on the responsible design, development and deployment of AI.
Making the engagement with responsible AI as simple as throwing on a t-shirt. Join them in spreading awareness – be an aelai.
