In this episode, Rob is joined by⁠ Dr Shikoh Gitau⁠⁠⁠, based out of Nairobi in Kenya. Shikoh is CEO of Qhala, a digital innovation company working across the African continent. We talk about AI in Africa, touching on their recent AI Talent Maturity Index, explore some of the examples of the work that has been done using AI to deliver social value, the complexities of bringing LLMs to countries with multiple languages, some of which have never been digitised and much much more.

Kira Dammann and Ify Azike are the two female founders of aelai, an AI education and e-commerce company that aims to make it easier for civil society to engage with AI. 

They believe that everyone needs to understand the capabilities, limitations and societal implications of AI to create a world where all of us benefit from it.
