In his book, Good to Great, Jim Collins emphasized the importance of “who” over “what” – by stating that “those who build great organizations make sure they have the right people on the bus and the right people in the key seats before they figure out where to drive the bus”. But in today’s rapidly evolving corporate culture, underscored by gig economy, great resignation, hybrid workplaces, how do organizations go about navigating the selective talent pool, in order to bring the right people to the right seats? Around Christmas I sat together with Hans Thalbauer the SAP Senior Vice President responsible for Digital Supply Chain Management and Internet of Things and we had a conversation about what can we can expect logistically out of 2020 and what requirements possible events in 2020 could have on setup, performance and flexibility.
