It's Not Your Imagination - The FM Talent Gap: Other Sources of Talent

In our first episode we confirmed that we do, indeed, have a talent gap problem in Facility Management.  In episode 2 we looked at what Higher Ed had to offer us in terms of solutions and found that the number of students in FM was dwindling. And in Episode 3 we looked at ways to drive more high school students into the trades and into Facilities Management certificate and degree programs. 

Now, in episode 4, Kate interviews Athene Sirivallop and Emily Wadman about other sources of talent. Tune in to hear these industry experts share their sources of talent from outside the box.

Climate Action Planning:  Bentley University and Greener U Chart a Path for Action

In the second half of our 4th season, Jackie digs deep into climate, how to plan for change, reduce greenhouse gas, and work on bringing our facilities in line with governmental mandates. In this episode, we are joined by individuals from Bentley University and Greener U. They worked together to create a comprehensive climate action plan for the university that helped them in achieving its 2020 goal of reducing their carbon footprint by 70% (from a 2008 baseline) one year early.

Greener U helps their partners navigate the steps to climate neutrality. It is like assembling a 7,500-piece puzzle...with no edge pieces. From big-picture planning and programming to detail-driven project orientation, GreenerU helps institutions navigate the organizational, operational, and infrastructure changes required to reach climate neutrality.
