Hi, I am Alexandra, mom of 2 incredible children and married to my best friend and partner in the faith.
For years, I tried to find happiness and a sense of purpose in all the wrong places.
I consumed endless self-help books, I would study more, analyze my past, find temporary relief in world distractions, try avoidance for temporary relief, attempt to change others in the hope of improving my relationships, only to find myself exhausted, living in my past, not enjoying the present and with no hope for a future. I had so many dreams but no direction to where my next step would be.
I finally realized that if I wanted to find lasting peace, I had to build my life on a solid unshakable foundation. I found Christ and the amazing peace that comes from being fully known and loved unconditionally.
With the help of mentors, I understood God’s will for my life and developed an unwavering relationship with Him. And I am thrilled to share it with you and give back as I was poured into.
Are you ready to finally find peace for your soul? Partner with the Everlasting God and discover your life's purpose, His amazing will for you, and how to walk in His steps. Experience fulfilling relationships and a sense of purpose that surpasses anything you can dream or imagine.
Open your Bible, put in those earbuds, and listen up! God is speaking to you. He is making everything new. Do you perceive it? Let's get started.

98. The Real Reason You're Stuck Spiritually (And How God Heals It)
vendredi 30 mai 2025 • Duration 12:34
Have you ever felt spiritually stuck—like you’re doing all the “right” things but still feel far from God? This episode is for you.
In today’s conversation, I share a deeply personal and biblical perspective on why we sometimes feel disconnected from God. It’s not always a lack of effort—it’s often a quiet rebellion: our tendency to trust everything but Him.
But here’s the beautiful truth—God doesn’t just correct rebellion. He heals it.
This is a vulnerable one, but it’s filled with so much hope.
In This Episode, I Talk About:
- What “quiet rebellion” can look like in our everyday lives
- How fear, anxiety, and self-protection quietly block our trust
- Why God’s healing doesn’t wait for perfection—it begins in surrender
- My story of feeling lost and how God pursued me like the one sheep
- How to open your heart to God even when you feel overwhelmed or stuck
Scriptures That Anchored Me:
- Proverbs 3:5 – “Trust in the Lord with all your heart…”
- Hosea 14:4 – “I will heal their waywardness and love them freely…”
- Isaiah 57:17–18 – “I have seen their ways, but I will heal them…”
- Romans 5:8 – “While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”
- 1 Peter 2:24 – “By His wounds, you have been healed.”
- Luke 15:4 – The parable of the lost sheep
- Psalm 107:17, 20 – “He sent out His word and healed them…”
From My Heart to Yours:
You’re not alone if you’re having a hard time trusting God.
You’re not alone if you worry, feel anxious, or carry stress—even though you’ve prayed and longed to be close to Him.
I’ve been there. I know what it’s like to feel lost in your own faith.
But God doesn’t meet us with shame—He meets us with mercy.
He’s not waiting for you to fix yourself.
He wants to meet you in your stuck place and gently lead you into healing.

97. Overcoming Shame and Codependency: 7 Faith-Based Principles for Spiritual Growth - with Kathy Heinen
vendredi 23 mai 2025 • Duration 35:31
In this deeply honest and inspiring episode of Curious for Christ, I sit down with Kathy Heinen, co-author of "Spiritual Discovery: Seven Principles for Spiritual Growth". Kathy shares her personal journey—from navigating a painful marriage to experiencing deep healing through Christ—and how God’s presence, not our performance, is the key to transformation.
Together, we discuss how our emotions are not obstacles but indicators—clues that can lead us back to the truth about God and ourselves. Through decades of ministry helping women overcome codependency and addiction, Kathy brings powerful wisdom and real-life application to what it means to grow spiritually and walk in freedom.
Yes, there were a few technical glitches—but the heart of this conversation is too rich not to share. :)
You’ll walk away encouraged, grounded, and reminded of just how personal and healing God’s love truly is.
What You’ll Learn:
• Why emotions are the bridge to our deeply held beliefs
• The spiritual battle behind the lie “I’m not enough”
• How God’s response—“You are mine”—shifts everything
• Why belonging is the foundation of true identity
• The seven principles of spiritual growth from Kathy’s book
• How spiritual transformation requires both truth and encounter
The 7 Principles of Spiritual Growth:
1. Stop and Consider
2. Recognize your Spiritual Battle
3. Tell the Truth
4. Look for the Lie
5. Ask, Seek, Knock
6. Find Peace in Forgiveness
7. Own Your Rescue Story
Mentioned in this episode:
- "Spiritual Discovery: Seven Principles for Spiritual Growth" by V. Lefler, K. Heinen & J. Lefler
- Episode 74: Finding Peace Through Biblical Meditation and Mindfulness with Virginia Leffler
- Learn more about Kathy’s ministry and resources at https://www.myspiritualdiscovery.com/
Alexandra’s Reflections:
One of the most powerful moments in this episode is when Kathy shares how God responded to her deepest lie: “I’m not enough.”
God’s answer wasn’t logic or evidence—it was simply: “You are mine.”
That response silences the lie. Why? Because it’s not based on what we do, but on who we belong to. God’s presence is the tool we need in our spiritual battles. Just like in Genesis, when He said “Let there be light,” His word still brings light to our darkness today.

Final words of encouragement:
You don't have to earn God's presence. You don't have to fix it all to be held. Whatever pain you're in, whatever pattern you're stuck in, Jesus sees, and Jesus still chooses you. The invitation is simple and sacred: Come as you are... and sit loved.
Until next time:
Be true. Speak truth. Walk free.
With love and light,
Alexandra

86. Healing is Spiritual: How to Process Emotions and Find Renewal with God
vendredi 7 mars 2025 • Duration 12:19
In today’s episode, I share a personal story of my relationship with my body and how I didn’t know how to process my emotions. If you feel like you can’t move on or keep falling back into the same patterns despite praying and processing, chances are your body has stored emotions that need your attention. The truth is: your body remembers what your mind tries to forget.
What We’ll Talk About:
• We are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14).
• God has the power to renew our bodies. He holds the key to unlocking what’s been stored. It’s not just about the science of healing—it’s about God being the ultimate healer who knows exactly what’s buried within us.
Scripture: Hebrews 4:12 – “For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.”
• The original design of our bodies and the role of God in our healing process.
• Healing is necessary, and we need a holistic approach to renewal.
• Why God cares about your body—our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19-20), and God cares for every part of us.
Practical Ways to Release Stored Stress & Find Renewal:
1. Tune Into Your Body – Recognize where you carry stress. Ask yourself, “What is my body trying to tell me?”
Scripture: Psalm 139:14 – “I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made.”
2. Move & Breathe with Intention – Engage in activities that release tension—stretching, walking, deep breathing.
Scripture: 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 – “You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies.”
3. Process Emotionally & Spiritually – Journaling, prayer, and speaking your emotions out loud can help release what’s been stored.
To dive deeper into effective prayer, make sure to listen to Ep. 73
Scripture: Hebrews 4:12 – “For the word of God is alive and active.”
4. Recognize God’s Renewal – Healing isn’t just about removing pain; it’s about recognizing God’s power to restore and renew you.
Scripture: Romans 12:2 – “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.”
Word of Encouragement:
Healing is possible, and God desires to restore you—body, mind, and spirit. If you’ve been carrying the weight of unprocessed emotions, know that renewal is within reach. Trust that God can guide you through the process of healing and transformation.

85. Q&A: Why is this Happening to Me? Why Do Bad Things Happen to Good People?
mercredi 5 mars 2025 • Duration 11:42
Welcome back! I’m so glad you’re here. Before we dive into today’s episode, I want to share a quick update:
Starting next week, I’ll be releasing just one episode per week instead of two. I’ve recently stepped back into real estate, and I’m so excited to be working with a great team of successful professionals. This podcast has been such a grounding force for me, helping me align my heart with Christ and trust His guidance in every step—including this new season. While I’m adjusting my schedule, my priority remains the same: to put God first, both for myself and for you.
I’m still here, and I can’t wait to continue these conversations with you!
Now, let’s get into today’s episode: “Why Do Bad Things Happen to Good People?”
What You Will Learn
In this episode, we will explore the age-old question, “Why do bad things happen to good people?” We’ll dive into what the Bible says about suffering, goodness, and trusting God even when life doesn’t make sense. You’ll hear personal reflections and biblical insights on how we can find peace, even when we don’t have all the answers.
Key Takeaways
• We don’t always get answers to our suffering, and that’s okay. Peace is found in trusting God, not in understanding.
• Suffering isn’t a sign of punishment—it’s part of the human experience.
• God’s faithfulness is unwavering, and He is present in our pain.
• Instead of asking “Why?”, we can ask, “What is God teaching me?” and “How is He shaping me through this?”
Scriptures Mentioned
• Proverbs 3:5-6 – Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.
• Isaiah 55:8-9 – My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways My ways, declares the Lord.
• Romans 3:10 – There is no one righteous, not even one.
• Mark 10:18 – No one is good except God alone.
• Matthew 5:45 – He causes His sun to rise on the evil and the good and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous.
• Psalm 34:18 – The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.
• Romans 8:28 – All things work together for good for those who love God.
• Philippians 4:6-7 – The peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.
• John 16:33 – In this world, you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.
Announcement
Quick reminder: Starting next week, I’ll be releasing just one episode per week while I focus on this new chapter in real estate. But I truly believe that Curious for Christ has played a huge role in getting me to this place—grounded, aligned with God, and ready for what’s ahead. I’ll still be here, still sharing, and still growing alongside you.
Closing Challenge
This week, when you face something hard, notice how you respond.
• Do you ask Why?—or do you ask What is God doing?
• Do you try to control—or do you surrender?
• Do you hold onto your emotions—or do you bring them fully to God?
God isn’t asking us to have all the answers. He’s asking us to trust Him. And that’s enough.
Share the Love
If this episode encouraged you, share it with someone who needs this reminder today. Let’s walk this journey of faith together.
Thank you for tuning in to Curious for Christ! I look forward to continuing these conversations

84. Reclaim Peace, Joy and Productivity in a Digital World, God's Way with Erick Vargas
vendredi 28 février 2025 • Duration 27:41
In today’s episode, we are addressing the real struggle many of us face in our digital age—how technology steals the peace, joy, and purpose God intended for our lives. I had the privilege of speaking with Erick Vargas, Christian entrepreneur and co-founder of Sabbath Space, an app designed to help people disconnect from technology and reconnect with what truly matters—God, family, and community.
What You’ll Learn:
• Understanding the Technology Trap: Erick shares his personal experience with technology addiction and reveals how disconnecting from tech can restore balance to your life and allow you to walk in God’s purpose.
• Finding Peace and Productivity in a Digital World: By intentionally setting boundaries around technology, you can make space for a deeper connection with God, your family, and your purpose.
Personal Takeaways:
Reflecting on this conversation, I realize how often I let technology steal my focus and peace. When I don’t intentionally rest or disconnect, I find myself anxious, overwhelmed, and struggling to hear from God. I’ve learned that reclaiming peace requires me to set boundaries with technology, just as much as it involves setting aside time for rest and reflection. Erick’s message is a wake-up call: if we don’t take action, technology will continue to steal the life God intends for us.
I also recognize that being mindful of what drains me and what replenishes me is crucial for moving forward with purpose. Technology is a tool, but it must be used wisely. When I use it intentionally, it helps me grow; when it controls me, it takes away the clarity and peace I need to hear from God.
Action Step for You:
This week, take a full 24-hour break from all notifications and digital distractions. Turn off your phone, disconnect from social media, and take time to reflect on how this makes you feel. After your digital detox, spend just 10 minutes in prayer or reading the Bible. I want you to pay attention to the clarity, peace, and joy that come when you give yourself space from technology. Let me know how it impacts you!
Resources Mentioned:
• Sabbath Space App: A practical tool to help you disconnect from technology and reconnect with what matters most.
• Previous Episodes: Episode 59 - Stress and Burnout: Consider a Biblical Sabbath for Healing and Renewal with Joel and Christy Peed and Episode 67 - Digital Detox and Biblical Sabbath Compilation.
Connect with Eric Vargas:
• Sabbath Space Website
• Instagram: @sabbathspace
Final Thoughts:
Technology is powerful, but if we don’t learn to manage it, it will take from the life that God has designed for us. Through intentional rest, boundaries, and connection with what truly matters, we can reclaim our peace, productivity, and joy. Eric’s wisdom shows us that we can take control of our digital lives, make space for God, and live more purposefully.
Thank you for joining me today! I look forward to hearing how you will reclaim peace and joy in your life through intentional rest and digital boundaries.

83. Q&A: How can I Feel Confident in God when I was never Encouraged Growing Up?
mercredi 26 février 2025 • Duration 09:52
Welcome to Curious for Christ Q&A! Today, we’re answering a powerful question: “How can I feel confident in God when I was never encouraged the way I needed growing up?”
If you struggled with a lack of encouragement or love growing up, you may question your ability to feel confident in God. But the good news is—God can restore what was missing and build a confidence in us that isn’t tied to our past but rooted in Him.
1. How Our Upbringing Shapes Us
• Our childhood shapes how we see ourselves and relate to God.
• Proverbs 22:6 reminds us that patterns learned early in life stick with us: “Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old, he will not depart from it.”
• These patterns can affect how we trust God and feel about ourselves.
2. God’s Truth Rewrites Our Story
• God’s truth is greater than the story shaped by our upbringing.
• Psalm 27:10 – “Though my father and mother forsake me, the Lord will receive me.”
• Romans 12:2 – “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.”
• Healing and confidence come when we allow God to reshape our hearts and minds.
3. How to Build Confidence in God
1. Recognize the Lies – Identify the false beliefs from your past.
2. Recognize God at Work – See where God is moving in your life (Philippians 1:6).
3. Replace Lies with God’s Truth – Meditate on Scriptures that affirm your worth in Him (Isaiah 43:1).
4. Take Small Faith Steps – Confidence grows through action (James 2:17).
5. Surround Yourself with Encouragers – Find people who reinforce God’s truth in your life.
Closing Encouragement:
• You are not bound by your past.
• Isaiah 41:10 – “Do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”

82. Trust God with Your Finances: Overcoming Anxiety of Money
vendredi 21 février 2025 • Duration 14:35
In this episode of Curious for Christ, we dive into overcoming the anxiety around money and trusting God’s provision. Financial stress isn’t just about the numbers—it’s rooted in trust and identity.
Key Points:
• Fear of Not Having Enough: Jesus reminds us that God provides for us, just as He does for the birds of the air (Matthew 6:25-26). Trusting God overcomes the fear of insufficiency.
• The Pressure to Work Harder: God’s provision isn’t about our performance. Trust in Him, even when we can’t see how (Philippians 4:19).
• Money as Identity: True peace comes when we find our worth in Christ, not our bank account (1 Timothy 6:6-10).
• Striving vs. Abiding: Money won’t bring lasting peace—abiding in Christ does (John 15:4-5).
• Overcoming Past Financial Trauma: Trust God to heal past financial wounds and break free from cycles of fear (Isaiah 41:10).
Trusting God to Break the Anxiety Cycle:
This week, start your day by sitting with God—read one scripture from today’s episode and ask Him to guide you toward freedom from financial worry. It doesn’t have to be perfect every day. 81. Q&A: How do I Hear God's Voice over My Own or Satan's?
mercredi 19 février 2025 • Duration 11:52
Welcome to Curious for Christ! Today, we’re diving into a question many of us struggle with: How do we hear God’s voice over our own or Satan’s? If you’ve ever felt confused or wondered if you’re listening to the right things, this episode is for you.
1. The Desire Beneath the Question
Your desire to hear God’s voice shows a longing to follow His will. But uncertainty often creates doubt. How do we discern between God’s voice, our own, and the enemy’s?
2. Three Voices Competing for Our Attention
• God’s Voice: Brings peace, aligns with Scripture, encourages, and leads with love.
• Our Own Voice: Driven by emotions, insecurities, and doubt.
• Satan’s Voice: Creates confusion, fear, and urgency.
3. How to Tune in to God’s Voice
• Scripture: God never contradicts His Word. (Hebrews 4:12)
• The Fruit Test: What fruit does this thought produce? (Galatians 5:22-23)
• Stillness & Prayer: Quiet your heart to hear God’s gentle whisper (1 Kings 19:11-13).
• Community & Counsel: God often speaks through others (Proverbs 11:14).
• Obedience: Clarity often follows obedience.
4. When God Feels Silent
Silence doesn’t mean absence. Trust that God is working beneath the surface. (Psalm 46:10)
5. Final Encouragement
If you’re struggling to hear God, you’re not alone. It takes discernment, but God wants to speak to you. Make time to listen and trust He is leading you.
