This episode I'm very happy to have my longtime bandmate and friend Duff McKagan on the podcast. Ep 271 Teza (TeZATalks)
Season 1 · Episode 271
mercredi 11 septembre 2024 • Duration 01:34:15
Our guest this episode is Teza of TeZATalks, a Seattle/Tacoma-based singer, self-described as hardcore pop. Seeing Teza perform at SMASH and again for Sonic Guild's award ceremony was amazing and I've been looking forward to this opportunity to learn a bit more about her and share it with you all. TeZATalks new album, Black Girl American Horror Story, will be out in Fall '24 and promises to take Teza to the next level and I recommend keeping her on your radar to catch any live performances she may make in your area. You won't want to miss it!

Ep 262 Tim DiJulio (Lazy Susan/Duff McKagan/Stereo Embers)
Season 1 · Episode 262
mercredi 17 avril 2024 • Duration 01:32:05
Tim DiJulio has been a fixture on the Seattle rock 'n roll scene for decades and leads the charge on many guitar-fueled nights in local clubs. Tim was a member of the first band I saw perform in a club in Seattle in 1993 and I've always looked up to him so it was a great pleasure to host him on this episode of the Couch Riffs Podcast. Most recently, Tim and I have become bandmates playing together in Duff McKagan's solo band in support of his newest album, Lighthouse, which Tim tracked many of the guitars for. I hope you enjoy this episode as much as I enjoyed this time shared with Tim.

Ep. 172 Tim Quick (The Bacon Brothers/Gloria Gaynor)
Season 1 · Episode 172
lundi 10 mai 2021 • Duration 01:38:41
Our guest this episode is the incredibly talented Tim Quick, guitarist for The Bacon Brother, Gloria Gaynor, and numerous Broadway shows. Tim recently released the first single, Out The Door, from his forthcoming debut solo EP, Comin' Home. The EP showcases his diversity and firepower as a guitarist but also his strong song writing skills. Be sure to check it out and put an eyeball on the Couch Riffs episode of Run To You by Bryan Adams where Tim breaks himself off some and breaths new life into an already great song. We had a great time talking about his musical past and his great success in getting enviable gigs time after time. He also dropped a hint on a new podcast coming from Ruinous, so stay tuned! I hope you enjoy this as much as I did, because it was fun, fun, fun. Thanks for listening!

Ep. 170 Matt Muckle (Paul Gilber/John Waite)
Season 1 · Episode 170
lundi 3 mai 2021 • Duration 01:41:03
We are pleased to have Matt Muckle as our guest this episode, our most recent for Drummer Awareness Month. Matt thoroughly impressed me when he delivered his drums for our video performance of When Will I Be Loved (feat. Charlie Starr, Keith Nelson and Jeff Rouse). I immediately started following him on socials and watching with much delight as I revealed more and more depth to his playing, nailing every feel and groove with conviction and convincingly. We dive right into how he's able to do that in this conversation and barely come up for air. This one flew by! I hope you enjoy this as much as I did. Season 1 · Episode 169
jeudi 29 avril 2021 • Duration 02:10:07
Our guest this episode is Ryan "Go Time" Moore, a fella I've traveled more miles with than most other humans and a person I love deeply. Go Time is an enormously talented drummer and crushes it in Portland's Hippie Death Cult. The band has 2 releases coming in May '21, a full-length and a split, and you can pre-order it through their website HERE.

Ep. 168 Frank Ferrer (Guns 'n Roses/PSSR)
Season 1 · Episode 168
lundi 26 avril 2021 • Duration 01:36:33
Very excited to have Frank Ferrer as our guest for this episode. In addition to being a great drummer Frank is one of the coolest guys you'll meet in rock 'n roll. Genuine, open, and friendly: I like him right away when I met him in 2011. Frank has had an interesting musical road leading up to his joining G'nR and we cover a lot of ground in this conversation. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did! Please check out Frank's latest release from PSSR at THIS LINK! You won't regret it!

Season 1 · Episode 167
lundi 19 avril 2021 • Duration 02:40:50
Our guest this episode is the incredibly talented Ilan Rubin, drummer for such notable artists as NIN, Angels & Airwaves, Paramore and more. Ilan also fronts his own band, The New Regime, singing and playing guitar and also writes and performs all the music on the recordings. His 2020 album, Heart Mind Body & Soul, is a masterpiece of rock music and an incredible display of his talents on all levels, writing/arranging/performing. Be sure to check that album and all his music out where ever you do that. Worth noting: Ilan is the youngest living member of the Rock 'n Roll Hall of Fame. Crazy. I hope you enjoy this episode as much as I did!

Ep. 166 Geoff Reading (Duff McKagan's Loaded/Green Apple Quickstep)
Season 1 · Episode 166
lundi 12 avril 2021 • Duration 02:03:39
Our 2nd guest for Drummer Awareness Month 2021 is our close friend and former bandmate in Duff McKagan's Loaded, Geoff Reading. Geoff is the kind of guy you want in your tour bus cuz he's always down to get into some fun and he isn't restricted to a bunch of shallow superficial conversation. As a fella you just can't do much better than Geoff and we're excited to be getting him in a video soon, as well. Go check out Geoff's podcast, Seattle Today, which is recorded at Seattle's historic Moore Theater.
