Investment Banking Job Search Master Class
Season 1 · Episode 2
mercredi 5 mars 2025 • Duration 01:08:29
This is a must-listen podcast if you’re interested in investment banking. Griff spent two years as an investment banking analyst at Morgan Stanley in NY and is now working in private equity.
We really get into the weeds here. Griff goes into detail about how he did his job search all the way down to the script he used to reach out to people. Despite his impressive background, Griff had a couple of real setbacks along the way - he talks about how he overcame those. He also talks about what makes for a great informational interview - from the perspective of an interviewer. Late in the interview, he talks about what advice he’d give to an imaginary younger brother or sister who’s in the first year if they wanted to do investment banking; it’s not exactly what I expected, so make sure to stick around until the end. Anyway, this was an excellent show. You’re not going to want to miss this one, so let’s get into it.
