This week, I had the pleasure to speak to Sophia Lavoie, who is a recent graduate in English Literature from University of Rhode Island. She is spending her time in COVID in Palestine, teaching kids English. In this discussion, she documents her experiences of whats it like to teach in such a controversial area of the world and why she took the leap. She is also extremely well-traveled and love to read books to expand her horizons.

She changed careers in her late 30’s becoming a certified health coach from all walks of life ever since.

In this episode, I had the absolute pleasure to invite Dr Alice Kerby, from Kerby Method Consulting, who has a passion for healing from a young age. She has two decades of experience in the fields of medicine, healthcare, and wellness. Prior to becoming a Doctor of Physical Therapy, She was trained in alternate healing modalities such as Chinese Medicine, Conscious Language, Native American Healing and Philosophy, Vipassanna Meditation, Polarity Therapy, Western nutrition and Herbology with renowned teachers and experts in these respective fields. She, now, uses a multi-faceted approach when working with individuals and groups to facilitate changes within the physiological, biological, and neurological systems.
She also specialize in working with stress and anxiety reduction from an autonomic nervous system perspective. As student in Somatic Experiencing, she is key in providing education and tools to help her clients both understand their physiological processes and practice techniques that shift the underlying causes of destructive or unhelpful behavior. This was the focus of our discussion, in this episode.
