Breaking Silence: How Women Lead in Times of Political Fear

Saison 2 · Épisode 2

vendredi 19 septembre 2025Durée 34:18

Send us a text

Karen and Lucy explore the urgent rise of extremism and far-right movements in the UK, examining what it means to have a voice during politically hostile times when many feel like hiding.

• Looking at how reform groups polling at 30% leaves 70% of the population fractured between other parties
• Personal connections to extremism, including Karen's Spanish heritage and memories of Franco's far-right regime
• The lived experience that most people are compassionate and kind despite extremist narratives
• Community responses to division, including creative acts of unity through international flags and colourful ribbons
• How extremism particularly threatens women's rights, healthcare access, and safety
• Practical ways to take action: education, sharing personal stories, supporting like-minded groups
• Using economic power by not buying from companies that don't support diversity or women
• Holding public figures accountable while protecting personal safety
• The new reality of questioning where and when it's safe to express feminist views

Your voice isn't a luxury – it can be taken away in an instant. In the face of rising extremism, silence only helps them. We may not control every headline or political agenda, but we can control how we show up, our intentions, and how we stand together.

• Lucy reflects on being told she was "too much" and learning to suppress her voice on taboo topics
• The shame women carry around sexual assault and the liberation that comes from breaking silence
• How truth creates intimacy in relationships by allowing us to be fully seen
• The generational healing that happens when we speak honestly about women's experiences
• Breaking taboos around menstruation, sexual assault, and perimenopause
• The difference between feedback given from ego versus feedback given with kindness
• Our bodies always know the truth, even when our minds create protective lies

Jago - Emotional Intelligence: The Key to Authentic Personal Branding

Saison 1 · Épisode 36

vendredi 16 mai 2025Durée 45:37

Send us a text

We welcome Steve Richards and Ryan O'Keeffe of Jago. They believe that personal branding is about being the real you. It’s about authentic leadership. They are EQ experts, anthropologists, film makers and storytellers and Male Allies to women.

When women have male allies supporting them, they become braver, more visible and more authentic. This episode explores how personal branding and emotional intelligence serve as foundations for women's empowerment.

• Personal branding isn't about manufacturing an image but understanding who you truly are and communicating that authentically
• Women often focus on getting the job done rather than talking about their accomplishments, limiting their visibility
• Emotional intelligence serves as the foundation for authentic personal branding and effective leadership
• Women typically score higher on empathy and interpersonal relationships, which are valuable leadership qualities
• Self-awareness, followed by intentional action, is essential for developing a strong personal brand
• Male allies play a crucial role in supporting women to take their rightful seats at decision-making tables
• Breaking taboos like openly discussing menopause helps create supportive environments where all can thrive

Please keep showing up, using your status, your currency, and showing the world who you are. Use your voice – journal, speak, or sing out loud – however you do it, we hope you join us in saying it, sister.

The Wisdom Within: Reconnecting to Your Natural Intuitive Power

Saison 1 · Épisode 31

vendredi 4 avril 2025Durée 40:22

Send us a text

Wisdom lives inside all of us, yet we've been trained to doubt ourselves and look for validation elsewhere. Our natural intuition, deep wisdom, and gut instincts are powerful tools that women already possess but often ignore in favor of external guidance.

• Women's wisdom has been systematically eroded and suppressed throughout history
• True wisdom differs from intellect – it's found in everyday people with depth that can't be taught in books
• Science confirms our bellies contain 72,000 nerve endings that communicate important information
• Wisdom isn't about age but about connecting to the knowing that exists within all of us
• The head provides knowledge while the heart and gut provide deeper wisdom and discernment
• Discernment means recognizing when something doesn't feel right in your body and honoring that boundary
• Journaling with questions like "What does my wisdom know about this situation?" can access inner guidance
• The Wisdom School initiative aims to help women reconnect with their natural wisdom and feminine power
• Leading from wisdom means listening to your intuition before making plans with your head

Join us at Wise Women Lead, our wisdom school for women leaders that gathers women to level up their feminine energy and reconnect with their wisdom.
