Tina Langland and Lisa Rollison
Frequency: 1 episode/6d. Total Eps: 98

Do you call the Show-Me state home? Are you sick of burying your head in the sand about national and local political issues? Are you too overwhelmed to even think about consuming news due to the sheer quantity? We realized through conversations with people in all different settings, most have NO IDEA what's going on in our local government. We decided to do this podcast to cover the shenanigans that we think is especially important for our friends and family to know. We do say a few cuss words so we wouldn't recommend listening while your kids are in the car!

Red, White & Really, Really Wrong
dimanche 5 octobre 2025 • Duration 31:43
Buckle up for a brutally honest ride through Missouri’s political hell, where Jess Piper calls out the nonsense most politicians hope you’re too distracted to notice. From gerrymandered districts and disappearing detainees to billionaire-approved news and TikTok takeovers, we’re unpacking how democracy got sold at a garage sale. If you’re tired of gaslighting headlines, government hypocrisy, this podcast is your antidote.
Cognitive Dissonance in Politics: Why People Defend the Indefensible ft. Tony
vendredi 26 septembre 2025 • Duration 44:37
@anthon7yandrews
Join us with Tony as we tackle free speech — that magical right people confuse with “say anything without consequences.” Algorithms are now our overlords, documentaries try to clean up the mess, and cognitive dissonance keeps politics spinning. Meanwhile, scandals involving politicians and child abuse remind us that accountability is apparently optional. And political “compromise”? Just code for selling your soul for a seat at the table.
Obamagate: Fanfiction for the Fox-Brained and more Gaslighting!
vendredi 8 août 2025 • Duration 28:48
This week, we dive headfirst into the flaming dumpster that is American politics—with oven mitts, of course. Andrew Bailey is busy protecting corporations from the trauma of accountability, while actual Afghan allies get shown the door for having the audacity to believe U.S. promises mean anything. We take a scenic detour through Obamagate—aka "Fan Fiction for the Fox News Crowd"—and pause to reflect on the beautiful separation of church and state (RIP). Tina gets real with her congressman, and by "gets real," we mean “politely wrecks him with facts.” Ghislaine Maxwell makes a cameo in our ongoing segment, “Elite Crimes: Just Vibes, No Consequences.” And finally, Hunter Biden’s interview reminds us that, yes, everyone’s life is a mess—some of us just don’t have 24/7 surveillance and a last name that triggers boomers. Democracy may be on life support, but at least the commentary is killer.
Josh Hawley Saves America (from Poor People)
dimanche 27 juillet 2025 • Duration 18:57
In this uplifting romp through late-stage democracy, Lisa and Tina dissect Josh Hawley’s brave crusade against poor people (via Medicaid), revisit the Epstein files that somehow never seem to reach the right courtroom, and marvel at how QAnon turned child trafficking into fan fiction. Along the way, they explore how private prisons are thriving off immigrant misery and how humanitarian aid was deemed too generous under the Trump doctrine. Spoiler: It’s all a mess — but at least we can laugh while the ship sinks.
Pride, Prison, and Paid Sick Days
mardi 22 juillet 2025 • Duration 26:38
From rainbow flags to red flags—Tina takes Josh to Pride while Missouri takes away your rights. Also, why is taxpayer money funding private prisons instead of PTO?
Erecting Freedom, One 80-Foot Pole at a Time
mardi 8 juillet 2025 • Duration 30:51
This week’s episode dives headfirst into the comforting topic of impending global catastrophe, starting with the G7 summit—a political cosplay convention where world leaders awkwardly pretend to get along while quietly edging us toward World War III. Back in the good ol’ U.S. of A., the National Guard is popping up in places that should probably be left to, you know, civilians, while lawmakers are dodging threats like it’s part of their job description (because apparently, it is now). ICE is still doing ICE things—terrorizing communities with the subtlety of a sledgehammer—and political “debate” sounds more like a group therapy session for angry boomers. Thankfully, we balance the chaos with sarcasm, jokes, and a strong sense of community forged through mutual disbelief. Tune in, stay woke-ish, and laugh so you don’t scream.
Welfare for Me, Bootstraps for Thee
vendredi 27 juin 2025 • Duration 26:47
Missouri’s out here rallying for democracy with the No Kings crowds while juggling youth violence, a loneliness epidemic, and more guns per capita than good decisions. The state takes in more federal money than it gives—making it a welfare queen in camo. Local crime rates rival big cities, yet politicians keep blaming "urban decay" from the safety of their subsidized offices. Meanwhile, marginalized groups are getting louder, the political right is eating itself alive, and even the skeptics are dusting off their protest signs. Turns out, hope (and sarcasm) might just be Missouri’s next big export.
Black Eye Space Guy and Tax Cut Tombstones
lundi 23 juin 2025 • Duration 27:29
Lil X might have a future in WWE, we should hook him up with the Dept of Education....if we still have one. ICE is the new Gestapo and still out there snatching up our neighbors fully masked with no identification. We are making it easier to get guns again, because more guns always make us feel safer. Brain worm put out a report that contained 7 sources that are non-existent. Hope everyone is ready to live in a surveillance state, because Palantir is finishing up your dossier now!
Ovary Overlords and Camel Cosplay
dimanche 8 juin 2025 • Duration 14:00
Welcome to the American Paradox Parade—Missouri Edition and Beyond! In a state where lawmakers seem to treat voter intent like a suggestion box, Missouri's legislative antics continue to defy public consensus as a new Missouri Supreme Court ruling now tangles even tighter the web around abortion access. Meanwhile, pandemic-era confusion lives on, with pregnancy and vaccine advice sparking more debate in the face of Brainworm. Zooming out, Trump-era immigration policies are still draining America’s brainpower faster than a Wi-Fi outage during finals week. Cultural perceptions of politicians have become a national pastime—equal parts cringe and comedy—while international students juggle free speech fears. Fortunately, satire rides to the rescue, offering a humorous lens for the otherwise bleak headlines. Because let’s face it: we need humor not just to cope—but to stay woke. So tune in, read up, and show up—because community engagement might be the only prescription strong enough to treat our political growing pains.
Habeas Corpus, Billionaire Bootstraps and Billy's Schlong
samedi 7 juin 2025 • Duration 18:23
Josh Hawley's throwing a tantrum over FEMA funds- crying louder than a storm-hit town. FAFO, except we are the one's who have to find out. Billy Long gets grilled in Senate hearings. Cosplay Kristi has no idea what habeas corpus is and wants to take it away. P. Diddle trial is getting slippery!
