How many New Year's resolutions have you made in your life? How many have you successfully accomplished? The estimate is that likely less than 10% of New Year's resolutions are actually achieved!
This is exactly why Karey doesn't believe in resolutions and instead focuses on 3 Keys that you can use to make changes to habits that will create a lasting impact on your life and that will set you in the direction of the version of you that you truly desire to create.
In this solo episode Karey discusses the 3 Keys backed by psychological research, that she has used in her own life and in her professional life to create lasting change.
3 Keys to Changing Habits: Reflect - Begin the internal work to create peace and change within yourself and take inventory of where you are, and where you want go, and why.
Reset- Take stock of your beliefs. Beliefs can be unconscious, negative beliefs that we learned as children. What are your beliefs? Learn how to reset them or replace them with new ones. Our actions stem from our beliefs.
Re-emerge - Change your story, your self story and create a new one! If you want to change your behavior and make the change stick, then you need to first change the underlying self-story that is operating in your life. Once you write a new story you can re-emerge into the next version of you that you desire to be!
Resolutions? Nah! 3 Keys to Change Habits? Yah!

It's time to redefine our definition of self care and also what it means to be selfish. Self care is so much more than bath bombs and skin care (although those are lovely and wonderful too). Truly caring for yourself takes intentional practice and commitment.
As women we often put other people's needs before our own because we have been programmed to believe that if we look after ourselves first we are selfish. It's time to change that script!
In this solo episode, Karey talks about the 7 pillars of self care that help you to achieve a balanced self care practice. As well, discover some of the best ways to take care of yourself that are inexpensive and practical and are perfect for taking stress out of your life. You can start right now!
Renew your body, mind, and spirit by being selfish every single day...it's a good thing!

Are you stressed? If you are looking for a way to bust stress out of your days one of the best things you can do is bust a move! Yes, that is absolutely correct! I refer to busting a move, as "dance parties for one" and it works to get rid of stress. Every. Single. Time. The solo dance party helps you to forget your troubles and to gain a fresh perspective.
When my heart needs to speak - I dance. Solo. In the kitchen. In the living room. Wherever. I dance like nobody's watching, and they aren't because I am dancing by myself and doing whatever moves or steps I want to do! There is something very spiritual about dancing that is so good for the soul.
Dancing gives you a feeling of power and combined with music stimulates the brain. When the brain is stimulated you break the stress cycle. You change your energy and you immediately feel better.
Bust a move - it is therapeutic due to the cognitive integration that occurs. And what is even better is that this therapy is absolutely free!
Tune into this episode and find out why the solo dance party is the ultimate stress buster.

"I HOPE YOU DANCE."
Life is short. Treasure it. Cherish it. Live it.
On this day and every day, we honour the love of a mother. It is a love like no other.
