Tamika's Gems: Optimum by Nita20 Dec 202100:21:39

Tamika JuNita Galvin was born and raised in the city of St. Louis, Missouri. Tamika believes we all have something to contribute to the world. In her optimism, she expresses how greatness arrive when we tap into our own gifts and talents. She is a child of God, an advocate for family, health, wealth, knowledge, and growth. She is the proud parent of four beautiful children ages 25, 23, 17, and 14. It gives her immense joy that all but the youngest have graduated high school and are finding their place in the world.

Tamika is the founder and owner of Optimum by Nita, LLC which focuses on health and the aesthetics of the body. Through her company, she seeks to improve her customers mental and physical well-being. Ms. Tamika has held various positions over the last two decades in education with the last few years being in administration. During the onset of the pandemic, Tamika accepted the role as founding principal for a community school in Ohio. She currently serves as an assistant principal in Tennessee where she currently resides with her family.

Tamika openly shares her past of humble beginnings so that others can believe and receive that they, too, can do anything they put their mind to. During her teenage years, Tamika’s parents divorced at what seemed like the most imperfect time for a child to be off balanced. While experiencing abandonment, disappointment, and family disfunction, Tamika dropped out of high school. She began to experience domestic violence during her teenage years which yielded homelessness, poverty, and an attack on her mental health. The stress of dealing with molestation, by a family member, was a catalyst to the turmoil Tamika would endure for the next few years. She reenrolled herself in school, attending day and night classes, while working full-time at McDonald’s Restaurant. She made her deadline and graduated with her scheduled class. Although she was threatened that her life would end if she attended college, she did not let that stop her and went in lieu of the threats. Upon nearly completing her associate degree, her mother was murdered in St. Louis, Missouri. With the support of the staff, students, and faculty at the college she pulled through and graduated. She continued and completed her bachelor’s, master’s, educational specialist degree and became a doctoral candidate. She has received many academic achievements, honors, and awards and continues to strive for greatness in every area of her life.

Tamika is dedicated to helping others and bringing awareness to cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, and dementia. She plans to continue seeking ways to speak about health, education, and personal growth. Her goal is to do her part to increase positive mental well-being and confidence. Sharing her journey and how she survived are resources that she pray finds the destined ears. Death could not stop her, abuse could not stop her, poverty could not stop her! She is determined to teach, lead, and share why she is unstoppable. Tamika knew she was created for greatness. She went from scraping up coins for pancakes to earning more than six figures and counting. In her words, “Our past has dissolving roads in which we cannot return. Active knowledge is power and maintained health is wealth. We can have what we desire!”

She was a music educator for 25 years with 9 of those years as a full-time music education entrepreneur. Her “U BETTER Sing!” products were also sent overseas to work with young Nigerian girls affected by the Boko Haram crisis in an initiative to educate and heal students through music.

Kelley currently works as a doctoral research assistant at Texas State University where she is working on her PhD in School Improvement. Her dissertation will focus on Black female music entrepreneurs who are using their cultural wealth to empower communities of color in the U.S. and overseas.

She has been married for almost 15 years to a man who helped her to develop a wealth mindset. Her husband is a disabled vet and postal mail carrier who knows how to make a dollar holla! Angelic's Gems: Corporate Countdown04 Oct 202100:24:33

Angelic Marnier is the Founder of Corporate Countdown – a web based coaching system that helps women transition out of their 9 to 5 jobs and into careers that excite them. She is a Cum Laude UCLA graduate, with a BA in Mass Communications.

Born in Washington, DC, her and her Mom moved to Southern California when she was 7 and she grew up in Inglewood with dreams of making it big. Her first jobs out of college were at Fox and Disney. She quickly learned that corporate America was not a good fit for her, so she dove feet first into real estate financing. There she really was able to make her mark and got a good taste of not having a boss and making her own schedule. She was in love.

Unfortunately, when the real estate market crashed during the great recession she made the move back to corporate America, still in real estate financing. She worked her way to the top where she was dealing with the firm’s highest-echelon clients, those having $1M+ in liquid assets. While working with these types of clients every day she began to see common traits and more importantly she saw that she could get to where they were at too.

Time after time her and her co-workers would talk and dream about getting out of their desk jobs, but had no clue how. They needed a proven system they could follow and see results that would allow them to replace their income so that they could spend more time with their kids and spouses, instead of giving the best hours of their day to someone else’s dream. They wanted to have a safe transition out, so there were no major interruptions in their income...and that’s how Corporate Countdown came to be.

Hi, my name is Ynetta CEO of Boss Hair Lab. Ever since I was 16 I’ve been learning how to care for my own hair. It’s been a journey from relaxed, to jerry curls, to braids, to extensions, to bald-headed scallywag, to natural, etc. It’s been a long journey, but I have learned a lot and now I love educating and helping people to properly take care of their beautiful, kinky, coily, hair.

My knowledge is based on my trials and tribulations from experimenting on mine, my family, and my friend's hair.

I’m aware and sensitive to the challenges many black women have when it comes to maintaining and growing their hair, and I provide solutions to help you with the process.

I am available for hair consultations and I created a wonderful Ayurvedic hair oil called Vital Veggie Oil. It is comprised of 14 different herbs and oils that are sourced from 10 countries. I handmake every batch and it takes 6 weeks to produce every vital drop.

Boss Hair Lab uses natural, organic, high-quality ingredients which are eco-friendly, not tested on animals, free of synthetic fragrances, and silicones.

Latoya's Gems: Own Your Development14 Jun 202100:29:19

Latoya Baldwin is a dedicated career woman, seasoned HR professional, devoted mother and a (soon to be) published author. She is passionate about helping people in realizing their personal and professional goals in life.

Ms. Baldwin graduated from the University of Tennessee with a degree in Finance. However, early on in her career, she realized that her real interest lay in aligning people strategies with business objectives. This led her to move from banking & finance to the retail sector and transitioned into the field of human resources.

Over the years, as a HR business partner, she has led transformation initiatives with Fortune 40 corporations to benefit tens of thousands of personnel. The devastating impact in 2020, caused by the outbreak, had her witness the fragility of the labor market with a large number of layoffs that are still ongoing.

This caused her to use her personal brand and help the affected people in improving their chances of gaining employment and rebuilding their lives. In September 2020, Latoya launched her blog latoyabaldwin.com where she guides ambitious young women in furthering their careers. When she’s not working, you can find Latoya giving back to her community and making memories with her family.
