Kicking Episode 92 out of the nest….just for you!

German director Tilman Singer. Amidst the giallo-esque shadows and John Carpenter nods, a gorgeous cast including Hunter Schaefer, Jessica Henwick, and Dan Stevens spreads its wings to peck away at the central mystery of this sci-fi/supernatural tinged thriller. Jump scares, genital snot, and confusion abounds as your lovely hosts ruffle their feathers trying to understand just WTF is happening here. Flock along with the stumbling as Emcee explains it all to a stunned Cupcake.

We have such sights to discuss on the latest episode! The Flickboxer Brian returns to the show to review the reconfiguration of the "HELLRAISER" franchise that recently debuted on Hulu (and assumedly Disney+ in international markets, amusingly enough). Before he and the boys get into the meat and potatoes of the franchise and David Bruckner's new vision, they dive into their appropriately out of the box pluses. The Boys didn't heed Olivia Wilde's advice, as they got into a spirited discussion on her second film, the divisive & controversial "DON'T WORRY DARLING!" The Boys dive into the cinema ocean and recover a "PEARL" of a movie (see what i did there?). Cupcake and the Cinemasochist take on that fabled "unicorn" of cinema - a divisive, provocative film that challenges viewers; said film being the highly anticipated "3,000 Years of Longing" from "Mad Max" director George Miller. Following a discussion of "Cinema Day" (YAY! THREE DOLLARS!), the boys plus their hearts out (Jose sticks his toes into Middle Earth while Justin discusses a fabled rock icon's acting debut), and then for the review proper, they bandy about theories and take long winded, philosophical guesses at Miller's filmic intentions. You'll want to get this in your ears for sure!

Cupcake and the Cinemasochist head into the jungle in Episode 3 to review Idris Elba punching a lion in 'Beast!' Is the punch worth the viewing? Before finding out, the Cinemasochist drops a controversial opinion on a beloved film with his +, while Cupcake revisits a divisive film from last year (and shines a light on a hairy drama streaming on Hulu) with his.

QUIT THRASHING ABOUT IN THE WATER AND LIFE-PRESERVER OUR NEW EPISODE!

The Boys dive into the streaming waters again and take on the French shark thriller Under Paris. Directed by new wave French horror director Xavier Gens - who counts as his new wave compadres Alexandre Aja (“High Tension”), Bustillo and Maury (“Inside”), and Pascal Laugier (“Martyrs”) - Sous La Seine (it’s original French title) chums viewer expectations with the ultimate B movie Jaws-ripoff scenario: a shark in the Seine and the catacombs of Paris. Will streaming audiences take a bite out of this thriller that has plot points touching on evolution and climate change in addition to people getting chewed up Richard Shaw style or is this an uneven paced, cringe acting, lousy CGI a la SyFy cold fish?

What do ‘all of us’ and a ‘train’ have in common? STRANGERS!!!! And so it comes to pass….the Watch/Skip’ers review the new horror/remake/reboot “Strangers - Chapter 1”, the first in a proposed trilogy-prequel to the cult 2008 original. This episode is dedicated to the dudes over at WildreamPod as we stole their format like strangers in the night - Emcee and Cupcake had a full slate weekend and the recording came together last minute with both hosts literally coming from their 6 PM showing and immediately recording. Hence, no Q&Alex, no Cast-Grab, don’t expect extensive research…we took it “on the fly”. 

While Emcee has not-so-fond memories of the first film (Editor (Beanie): it’s a really good story. Not sure if I wanna high five Troy over at Not A Bomb or scold him. Is this a Kingdom worth visiting or does it belong in the dung heap of anthropomorphic, sign language using apes like that other adventure film with Amy the Gorilla.
