The Magic of Uncertainty: How to let go of not knowing how it’s all going to turn out

mercredi 28 mai 2025Duration 01:05:53

If you’re in your thirties and find yourself spiraling with the fear that maybe you won’t meet your person in time…

If you lie awake at night wondering if motherhood is slipping through your fingers…

If you feel like you’ve done everything right and life still isn’t unfolding the way you hoped,

This episode is for you.

In this deeply honest and empowering conversation, I am joined by returning guest Hillary, a human design teacher and spiritual coach, to explore the fear that so many of us carry in our thirties: not knowing how it’s all going to turn out.

We dive into:

  • Why we struggle with uncertainty- especially around love, timelines, and family dreams
  • How to stop outsourcing your sense of peace to whether or not you meet “the one”
  • What it really means to let go of control (and how it opens the door to everything you want)
  • The spiritual truths behind why the timing hasn’t “worked out” yet
  • Emma’s personal story of hitting an emotional rock bottom just before meeting her partner and becoming a mother

One of the most powerful moments in this episode: Hillary coaches a past version of me: age 35, single, and panicking about her future, through the fears, limiting beliefs, and pressure that so many of you are carrying too.

Whether you’re single and scared, dating with anxiety, or simply trying to trust your path, this episode is your invitation to soften.

To remember that just because you don’t know how it’s going to turn out doesn’t mean it’s not going to be everything you hoped for- and more.

🎧 A must-listen if you’re navigating transitions, feeling behind, or longing for clarity in your thirties.

Turning 30 and Overcoming Comparison

mardi 23 février 2021Duration 33:15

In the next instalment of my coaching tools series, I am sharing practical tools to help overcome comparison. When we reach our thirties, we often have lives that look different to our friends and peers, and our brains go into overdrive looking around to find evidence of this. The truth is, comparison is normal for our brains, but the problem is that we often take this to mean that there is something wrong with us, or the way that our lives have panned out.   If you have ever felt this way, this episode provides you with an explanation of why we indulge in comparison as we enter our thirties, and gives practical steps for how to overcome this to focus on living a life that is all about you, and not those around you. If you want to take these practical tips and learn how to apply them in the comfort of a group of people on the same journey as you- apply now to my Turning 30 Group Program.   To book a free consult: http://bit.ly/turning30consult Program Details:  bit.ly/turning30program Instagram: @turning30coach

Turning 30 and Re-writing Your 30 Manual

mercredi 27 janvier 2021Duration 35:14

Our 30 Manual is a concept that I teach in my Coaching Program. It is an instruction manual that lays out a set of rules for how we believe our lives will look in our thirties. When we don’t meet these expectations, we often feel like we have ‘missed the boat’ or that we have been left behind from others. The truth is, these goals are fictitious and have been created (often subconsciously) by a younger version of ourselves, who unfortunately did not have a crystal ball to predict the twists and turns of our twenties.    Today’s Podcast episode takes a deep-dive into understanding everything about our 30 Manuals and it kicks off a special series of coaching episodes where I am sharing concepts that I use in my coaching program with my clients. In the episode I explain what a 30 Manual is, how it has been playing out in your life and then I outline my four-step guide for how to re-write it. If you have ever felt that you have 'failed' as your life doesn't look exactly as you would like by now, this episode is for you.    Turning 30 Coaching Details: To apply for the group program: DM @turning30coach on Instagram. Turning 30 and Being a Late Bloomer with Mena Kezia Emuh

mercredi 20 janvier 2021Duration 50:26

Often our twenties don’t work out exactly the way we planned. We graduate and don’t get the dream job, we experience breakups, rejection, grief and uncertainty and we aren’t taught how to deal with any of these things or the inevitable way they affect our mental health. Mena Kezia Emuh experienced this herself,  and at the age of 27 reached a breaking point that ultimately led her to create her community of @thel8bloomers. She bravely decided to speak out about her mental health and from there she has become a spokesperson for people who feel left behind, dedicating her time to a platform for millennials navigating the complexities of adulting in the 21st Century. In this episode, Mena shares her personal story with me and we have an authentic and vulnerable conversation about timelines, the pressure to be ‘normal’, religious and cultural expectations and why it is so important to speak out about mental health. This episode is for you if you’ve ever felt that things didn’t work out exactly as planned and if you’ve ever felt like a ‘late-bloomer’.   Turning 30 Coaching Details: Program: bit.ly/turning30program Instagram: @turning30coach   Mena’s Details: Personal Instagram: @menakez Late Bloomers Instagram: @thel8bloomers

Turning 30 and Facing Fear Feat. Ben Harris 'The Fear Guy'

lundi 4 janvier 2021Duration 47:46

To celebrate the release of the 20th episode of the Podcast, I am interviewing my first ever male guest, life coach Ben Harris @the.fear.guy.   After 13 episodes interviewing women, I finally got to ask a male on the eve of his 30th birthday his point of view around the pressures men feel around turning 30 and if this is different from the way women approach this transitional time.   As well as discussing turning 30 (my favourite topic of course), I invited Ben to talk about all things fear. Fear is one of our greatest teachers, but it can be so delimitating when we try to resist it. We dive into what keeps us in our comfort zones, our worst case scenarios and our want to avoid them at all costs, fear of failure, fear of what people thing and most importantly: how to overcome these fears.   Tune in for a role play where I play a fearful client and Ben coaches me and gives me practical tips to help embrace fear and make life changes.   Turning 30 Coaching Details: Program: bit.ly/turning30program Instagram: @turning30coach   Ben Harris: Website: www.feeling-free.com Instagram: @the.fear.guy
