The things you find out when you ask people about their food memories can be soulful, spicy, sensational, sour, and sublime. Often you'll discover something you never knew about the person you asked - and this is what the Three Food Memories podcast is about, how every food memory is linked to a moment in time.

Three Food Memories is hosted by Savva Savas, dad of twin boys, entrepreneur, caterer, and creator. In each episode Savva chats with a guest who shares three food memories and a social cause close to their heart, revealing far more about themselves than what they’ve tasted.

Be prepared for some hilarious and otherwise never-heard-before stories, and if you love listening - please tell your friends (and like, subscribe, and follow for all the goodness!)

Ellen Harrold, comedian and surfer

lundi 27 janvier 2025Duration 30:38

In this special episode for comedy week, we head to the US of A to meet with comedian and surfer Ellen Harrold.

Ellen grew up on the beaches near Atlantic City and has surfed for most of her life.  After finishing high school, and inspired by the movie Call Me By Your Name (hello Timothée Chalamet!) she flew off to au pair in Italy for three summers where, you guessed it, she ate a lot of delicious and fresh Italian food, including Spaghetti a la Vongole - which is the third time someone has mentioned this as one of their favourite three food memories on the pod!

Her social cause is affordable health care for all in America.

**Please note: this conversation discusses disordered eating in the first ten minutes.

[Ellen’s episode was recorded in October 2024]
