Welcome to This Life of Mine. 

To kick off the podcast James Corden is joined by a guest who’s been described as one of the most important cultural icons in recent American history. He first found success along with Ice Cube and Eazy E in the genre defining group N. W. A., and later experienced unparalleled success as a solo artist before becoming, without question, one of the most successful producers of all time, working with some of the biggest artists of the last 20 years, from Kendrick Lamar To 50 Cent, Jay Z, Mary J. Blige, Nas, Busta Rhymes, Yves, Anderson Paak, Gwen Stefani and of course his decade long collaboration with Eminem. 

He's also an entrepreneur who took his love of sound to the next level when he did something that no other artist had done at that time. When he and fellow record executive Jimmy Iovine created an audio company called Beats, it became a runaway success, which along with its associated streaming platform was sold to Apple for an estimated $3 billion after winning seven Grammys and selling over 25 million records.

His focus has now moved to education and trying to give young people the skills to succeed in the industries that he knows best.

Julianne Moore is an actor who’s starred in over 80 movies. The range of her work is vast and always interesting, and includes classics like Hannibal, Magnolia, The Hunger Games, Boogie Nights, The Big Lebowski, and Still Alice for which she won her Academy Award. Joining James on this episode is a giant of the fashion world, known for transforming the fortunes of Gucci in the 90s, before setting up his own eponymous fashion brand in the 2000s.
