8 Gentle Yoga To Open The Hips And Activate The Water Element

In this class we will activate the water element and the sacral chakra (swadisthana) as we use a belt to stretch and release the legs, thighs and hips. The class focuses mainly on flexibility and mobility. We will explore variations of the seated forward fold (passchimottanasana). The class includes breathwork (pranayama) and ends with a guided relaxation (shavasana).

Recommended Props: The class is taught without props, but a block, blanket or yoga belt may be helpful.

4 Gentle Blindfolded Yoga To Relax The Entire Body

In this class we will be blindfolded and lie on our backs the entire practice as we relax and stretch the body. We will explore postures such as reclined butterfly, reclined pigeon and supine spinal twist. We will also work with our breathing. The practice ends with a guided relaxation (shavasana). 

Level: Beginner

Recommended Props: A blindfold, e.g., a thin scarf around the eyes or an eye pillow. 1 block, a yoga belt and a blanket. Useful, but not necessary. If you don't have a blindfold, simply keep your eyes closed.
