Online Courses vs. Memberships

Season 3 · Episode 45

jeudi 27 octobre 2022Duration 28:50

Which digital product is right for your business right now: an online course or a membership?

Both have the potential to multiply your revenue as a creator or entrepreneur. And since I don’t believe that business is one-size-fits-all, I’m excited to share the opportunities and challenges for membership sites vs. online courses to help you decide which one is right for you right now.

Today's guest is Manu Muraro (Your Social Team). Manu helps ethical brands with a sense of humor grow engagement in sales on Instagram and not worry too much about every single piece of advice they're getting. She's sold both courses and memberships and currently runs a seven-figure membership, so she's here to help weigh the pros and cons of each strategy.

Live Launches vs. Evergreen Funnels

Season 3 · Episode 44

mercredi 10 août 2022Duration 30:36

What's the best way to market and sell your online course or membership? That's the core question we're out to answer in today's episode by comparing two fundamentally different strategies: the live launch model vs. the evergreen model.

Whether you’re a current or aspiring membership or course creator, special guests Mike & Callie (Membership Geeks) are here to help us answer these key questions:

  • When is the right time to use a live launch model vs. the evergreen model?
  • If your product is always open for purchase, how can you convert prospects to buyers when there’s no immediate deadline or discount?
  • How can you create a high-converting funnel and scale your revenue over time, even if you’re just getting started?

Is recording in Clubhouse worth it? (Laura Bauder, Profit From Podcasting) [Ep. 30]

Season 2 · Episode 30

mercredi 31 mars 2021Duration 17:45

My most popular episode from February was, “Will Clubhouse kill podcasting?” [Ep 27]

Just a week later, Clubhouse did the exact thing that I said would make the biggest difference in my eyes for podcasters. They changed their terms and conditions to allow recording.

So in this episode, I invited Clubhouse pro and fellow podcast host Laura Bauder (Profit From Podcasting) to join me in a test recording room on Clubhouse. This episode contains excerpts from that conversation, where we talk about what you can and can't do, and what we're hoping to see from Clubhouse to make this a legitimate option for podcast hosts.

(Not sure what Clubhouse is? I recommend starting with the previous solo episode, “Will Clubhouse kill podcasting?”)

The value of mini episodes & short roundups (Brandy Heyde Montague, For Animals. For Earth) [Ep. 29]

Season 2 · Episode 29

mercredi 17 mars 2021Duration 32:26

Brandy currently releases a weekly 40-minute episode, but she's thinking about adding shorter mini episodes to hook more listeners. Is this an effective way to build your audience or your community? Or it just yet another thing that takes too much time?
