If you've ever received advice from "experts" that didn't sit right with you, know that you don't have to listen and you can choose an approach that feels more you. Suman offers a practical litmus test to help you determine which advice is right for you:

  • Do you trust the source, and do they understand your style?

  • Self-Belief is Magnetic: When you believe in your offer and show up with genuine intent, clients sense that energy—and are far more likely to say yes.

  • Introverts: Play to Your Strengths: Listening, thoughtful questions, and structure are secret sales superpowers.
  • DM Done Right: Reach out with genuine curiosity, not a pitch. Seek connection, not conversion.

One of the biggest things holding businesses back, especially those offering a service like coaching or consulting, is this: Having the ability to clearly and confidently communicate the true value of what they do in any situation. 

Much less, doing so in a way that feels natural and prompts your perfect prospects to say: "OMG, I need that, tell me more!"

And in all honesty, why would they? Few people are ever taught communication skills at school or even business school.

There is a big gap – and it's the reason I pivoted my own business from communication consultancy, coaching and training for large companies and leaders, to start helping small business owners, coaches and consultants to communicate, market and sell their true value with confidence. Leading me to become known as The Value Whisperer.

In this episode of the Driven Female Entrepreneur Podcast, I speak with Rikki Arundel, a Storytelling Expert and Gender Inclusion Speaker.

Rikki developed a passion for public speaking at a young age, but ended up in the insurance industry. However, they pursued qualifications and training, attending conferences and discovering a love for personal development speakers, which were not yet popular in the UK. 

After speaking at several events, Rikki was encouraged to join the National Speaker Association. They took the leap and joined the association. Attending a NSA conference in the US in 1995 proved to be a life-changing experience (can you imagine sitting next to Zig Ziglar?!).

After their transformative experience, Rikki felt compelled to create a community for like-minded speakers back home. Drawing on inspiration from their own journey and the encouragement of friends, they founded the Professional Speaking Association.

When I started the show two-years ago, I had no idea where the show was going to take me. I had the goal to give women the tools, tips and insights they need to dream bigger and achieve more. 

I wasn't sure if I'd be able to show up consistently and confidently interview amazing women and thought-leaders. But it felt like a logical next step for my content and I was willing to try. I had no idea just how much I would learn and grow through the process. Or how much fun I'd have!

Anke grew up in East Germany and had always dreamt of moving to different countries. She was a linguist, but also loved maths for its structure. 

Upon moving to Australia, she faced difficulty finding a translator job and found herself working in the software industry. It was here that she discovered programming, and though overwhelmed at first, she soon came to see it as just another language, and a straight-forward one at that. Eventually, she moved to London where she accessed more tech opportunities.

In 2004, she left the corporate world and moved to Spain to pursue her creativity, starting a dress-making business. However, she soon realised that she needed a change due to burnout. Recognising the similarities between dress-making and starting a business, she saw an opportunity to become a coach and put her skills to use.

Now, she uses her knowledge in technology, teaching, psychology, and business to help coaches and educators with their online offerings. By handling the technical aspects, they can focus on their clients' needs. Her guidance leads them to achieve their goals and create prosperous online businesses.

In this episode of the Driven Female Entrepreneur Podcast, I speak with Anna Konchar, a Business Mentor/Coach.

Anna's background is in marketing and advertising. After gaining her undergraduate degree in advertising, she started a dream internship at an advertising agency. Later, she returned to university to complete her MBA, a move she believed would help her gain a corporate job and reach her target $100,000 a year by the time she was 30.

She quickly realised corporate life wasn't for her after getting her MBA and going through the tragic death of her father. She yearned for greater independence, adaptability, income, and time to genuinely live life, but there was one major obstacle in her way: a debt of more than $200,000 in college loans. She knew she needed to make a change but wasn't ready to leave her job without having a plan, so she started freelancing.

As a Facebook and Instagram ad manager for small and local businesses. She built it to six figures while working part-time, and later turned her service into a multi-seven figure digital course. In less than 5 years, she went from owing $200,000 in college loans to operating a multi-million dollar online side business!
