In this episode, we discuss Andy's experiences on BBC's All that Glitters, as well as how to make the most of the opportunities that arise along the way.

Andrew has been lecturing on the Jewellery and Silversmithing - Design for Industry (DFI) course since January 2016. He has strong links to the Jewellery Industry and uses these to his students’ advantage, from organising group visits to allow students to see behind the scenes in large companies to signposting them to the best setters, finishers, casters, etc.

Andrew has a passion for both Jewellery and teaching and thrives on seeing his students’ progress into the industry. The DFI course has a high post-graduation employment rate and excellent credentials within the industry. The course is tailored to the individual rather than to the masses, meaning no two days or projects are the same, and with an ever-increasing field, this helps to keep Andrew at the forefront of the CAD-based jewellery industry.

Andrew Berry Jewellery was founded by Andrew Berry and his wife, Louise. Andrew started an independent jewellery business based in South Wales. Will Lenthall AKA Young Silver is a Bespoke jewellery designer, who's work blurs the line between jewellery and sculpture.

William McMellin is an Opal Hunter and a member of the Lightning Ridge Mining Association.

He has travelled throughout the Australian outback, journeying between remote opal-mining towns and immersing himself in the culture and way of life that surrounds the industry.
